Take server down before event ends?

I need exactly one more confetti fragment for the mount. Do I need to buy this now or can we have an event extension for one day please? At least for PC NA this is necessary!

I even planned out the event specifically to have the last 3 slices of cake tomorrow.

Is the compensation not going to be modified, given that players are still losing out on tickets and the ability to spend tickets for this event?

Are requests not being considered for where we want the compensation to go?

An extra day or so now so the locked out players can finalize event-related things seems like a good idea. If they aren't going to do that, there must be a logistical reason why. (?) Perhaps @ZOS_GinaBruno or @ZOS_Kevin can shed some light if that's the case?

I'm also hoping they bring Jubilee back at some point, once everything is calmed down. Perhaps in the fall once Gold Road has been live for a bit. And hopefully *also* bring back those style pages with an easier way for people to get 'em.

This is obviously to avoid people getting the horse nearly for free (instead of just 3 confetti packs now we need to get 4) because of the extension. Guess I will need to stay awake until maintenance to make the most of this event because of this change.

im gonna be honest, you were out of the game for 9 hours while they performed some maintenance, we got locked out for 10 days of which you had the entire time to farm or what ever you were doing. you will be out of 4 of the last hours of the event that got a 2 day extension. making a forum post about missing 4 hours of an event over a good chunk of the player base that not only got locked out (due to no fault of our own, but we missed 10 days of arguably the most profitable event of the year,) gaining access back, not only makes the jailed ( ) feel crappy but also causes more them vs us. this is getting old now. please just take it for what it is and let us get our accounts back!

Anyone not locked out still got extra time beyond what was planned for this event.

As someone who wasn't locked out? I've had plenty of Jubilee, and its definitely long past time the locked out got access back. That has to be the priority. I wouldn't complain about a further extension on their behalf but I kind of doubt it would happpen.

I'll just quote from page 1 (btw i was also locked out):

No, I don't think locked out players should wait any longer.

But what was the point of extending the event if the last day is not even playable? Many of us care more about the boxes than anything else, why not extend the event until Friday so that the released prisoners can also at least have a day to get some loot?

You literally just made it a them vs us thing in your whole post and completely missed the point of what I was asking.

By all means, take the servers down, I want my account back lol. But the event should be extended to cover the rest of the day - it's very misleading to say the event is extended two days but it turns out to just be one day.

And on that note, reset in general really should be at a reasonable hour, 6am is a very weird time for a daily reset - especially since events end at 10am (an arguably even weirder time to reset, it's not even halfway though the day). The other MMO I play, the reset is at 8pm eastern, which is very convenient for NA players and that makes sense because, y'know, it's an NA server.

I'm all for everyone getting back into their accounts as soon as possible. I just don't understand why ZOS can't plan the simplest things properly. They extend the event to the 25th, which made many players plan out their ticket expenditures/confetti packs so that they have enough to get the mount on the last day, but then the day before they decide to schedule a maintenance on the last day which will now cause many players to have to possibly purchase extra tickets with crowns just to get the mount. Now people are upset over something that literally never in a trillion years needed to be an issue, because ZOS apparently does not possess even a microscopic amount of foresight. I simply cannot for the life of me understand it, there is no possible scenario in my brain where I can see why they would do this. Why? Just...why?

With what event tickets? We missed two dozen tickets that ZOS isn't bothering to compensate us for.

More like 30 tickets. But I still want the chance to interact with the event post-lockout. Having the event already be over by the time we get out is them adding insult to injury.

I'm not saying I personally need and/or want an additional day of the event, I'm simply wondering why an additional day was given and then taken away without it being addressed in any way. Possible oversight or what?

Thats when the needed rollbacks to their accounts get applied. Apparently it requires servers to be taken down.

You make an excellent point. My focus was being shocked at what seemed a selfish response (again, yes, eventually I’ll learn) but it would seem it could have been avoided entirely if ZOS had announced the extension would be ONLY through today (which would have more than covered the time lost and encouraged people to plan appropriately) or an additional day or several so that the unlocked accounts could get some boxes at least and make any wanted purchases from the Impressario and other event vendors.

I sorta assume that they'd have to add any additional extension to the maintenance tomorrow and it's not possible to extend it further (I'm assuming it was updated on PC during Monday's maintenance with the new end date/time).

I'm just glad I noticed the maintenance announcement in time. I have just enough tickets for the four final confetti but I almost bought a cake with them instead, thinking I could get a confetti tomorrow morning.

9:30 AM on the 15th was 30 minutes before the free Thieves Guild DLC unlocked for those that wanted it. I was working on it when the blow out occurred. I only went to the PTS to get a character made and bam locked out. Question is will I get the Thieves Guild back? If not I will submit a ticket in hopes of getting what is rightfully mine. I am not even going to be around for most of the maintenance due to Dr. appointments. I was in the hospital 11 days in February due to complications after surgery and because of all that I keep having to see the Drs. for follow up appointments to check on my progress. I can see both points of this argument and I am not going to take a side here. The facts are they are starting it at 6 AM EST and hope to be done by 2 PM. Like it or not we are all just going to have to deal with it.

Regardless of tickets or not, who's locked out, etc. - the whole situation is extremely annoying and frankly surprising for a game this big and with this much experience.

Instead of arguing among ourselves, why don't we all request a further extension to the event? This way locked out players get their accounts back as planned and still have a chance to do event stuff, and non-locked out players don't miss their final tickets and confetti. This is much better than making the locked outs wait for hours or another day while the rest get their tickets and it doesn't breed more resentment, of which the forums have been full lately.

Come on, ZOS, do something that won't make a large portion of your players angry. Give the locked out players a chance to enjoy the event again with the rest of us while not depriving many of their last tickets. Don't end this event creating even more discord among us.

While I'm aware this suggestion is almost certain to be ignored, I'll go ahead and poke the devs.

As one of the locked accounts I really just wanted to see if I could maybe grab a couple of the cake slices before the event ended to finish the achievements in that section, but I guess that isn't gonna be possible now.

We got given all the confetti packs for the horse, sure, but the cake slices also had achievements? How are we supposed to get them now? We're just supposed to wait till next year I guess?

Also, remember ZOS set the maintenance time, not the locked out players. Being angry at the latter makes no sense.

I was not locked out of the game but, in my opinion, getting those locked out of the game back in the game as soon as possible must be the primary consideration.

I had planned to finish the event with 12/12 tickets but the short notice maintenance tomorrow morning means I'll finish with 9/12. Another one day extension would be appropriate and welcome if it can be done without delaying getting locked out players back in the game.
