so you know what? I'm going to say it. YOU. are being selfish right now. yes YOU. not players who would like to have those 4 measly hours to finish the event.

but... if we are being real - the blame lays with ZoS. both for scheduling maintenance to start precisely at the same time as the event resets - but more so, for that change they made originally when dailies reset at a different time for US vs NA. with old reset timers? I'm going to wait until the last possible moment to see if ZoS reads this thread and hopefully delays maintenance until end of the event.

To be honest I’m at the point I don’t care when I get unlocked. I would have been fine waiting personally. But seeing takes like this makes me feel zos should just lock the whole server next time. See how everyone likes being out of the game permanently for an unknown amount of time.

Absolutely terrible take and I would be embarrassed to say I wrote that. Players have missed ten/11 days of event and tickets and you are going to call them selfish? You already got an extension for zos mess up. Honestly you maybe missed a day and got a day so you are still at least even with consoles.

I'm calling you selfish for not being able to wait a whole 4 hours and to heck with anyone else. that said? had they locked the game entirely and just restart once everything was fixed? WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER then how they handled it IMO. at least then we would all be in the same spot and NO ONE would techincaly be missing anything. and incidentally - they gave you all free accounts, you could have been doing dailies for boxes this entire time anyway and earning those motifs and mats - they are already compensating you for account specific things you'd be missing out on, like the horse collectible.

4 hours. you are willing to throw a big chunk of players under the bus over FOUR. HOURS.

It was not our decision. ZOS made the decision on the maintenance period without player input. I personally could have waited longer and was actually expecting to be but sometime today ZOS got together and made a decision and once their minds have been made it is usually set in stone. Nothing we can do about it. Pound ZOS all night long on this but please try to keep it civil on your fellow players. We are all in the same boat together.

I've gotta say it again. It's just so profoundly depressing how many players wanna make it "us vs. them" instead of focusing on the party that is actually 100% responsible for every aspect of this debacle.

This wasn't some kind of zero-sum game. We could have all won here, if different decisions had been made. It feels more like we've all lost, and no group of players is responsible for that.

I agree actualy. the real problem here is with ZoS. which is why I get annoyed with players who DEFEND ZOS for this decision, even if it negatively affects other players in a process.

for PC players - its losing out on a full day.

you were given a free account to earn boxes on. yes it takes a little bit of time to get a character to level 6 to start earning boxes - but its not THAT much time. they said we were getting 2 extra days. a lot of us budgeted for those 2 days. losing this one day means losing this last day = losing last jubilee pack box AND 3 tickets it takes to buy one from a vendor.

moreover - compensation package you all are getting? is pretty darn good. like... I almost WISHED I went to PTS and lost acess to my main account, JUST to get that package.

I'm hoping that this was an opsie that they forgot to consider. I'm hoping this means they extend the event by another day. I'm hoping that they are NOT intentionally taking back a day they promised from PC NA players ONLY.

I'm sorry, you have me confused with the poor people that were locked out for 10+ days. I, like you, was not locked out.

Only I'm not upset over them taking back 4 hours of an extension and the extra 3 tickets in a 20+ day event. We got repaid the ~9 hours of downtime nearly 5-fold.

Though I do think ZOS could have ended another cycle of abuse towards the locked out players (who just want back in finally) by not explaining the reason for the change on the extension and not telling us why they can't extend further for their benefit...

good for you. I'm upset in part because this came out of the blue at the last possible moment. they COULD have warned us. they COULD have chosen to do the maintenance in a way that didn't cut off the last day of the event. they COULD have extended the event by one more day in order to allow EVERYONE acess to it. they could have done a lot of things that they didn't. I will give them that - compensation for missing 11 days is pretty darn good. 1 month of subscription, $15 worth of crowns, enough extra coins of endeavors to allow people to outright buy crown pack items they want instead of buying those packs with more crowns, full event collectible with a bunch of style pages AND a free ESO account to do with as they please. that's good. THIS thing though that they are doing right now? not so much. had we known about this days ago, we would have been able to budget tickets to compensate. had they extended the event so that maintenance doesn't cut it off for PC NA? wouldn't have had to.

I don't like how this is locked accounts v. normal population.

NEITHER GROUP IS AT FAULT HERE. Please make sure your irritation is not directed at each other. Both sides have completely valid arguments. At the end of the day, the buck stops with ZoS, and they are who we should be displeased with.

I want the folks who have been locked out of their accounts to have access ASAP, and I also do not want to miss out on the last hours of tickets and boxes. Both should be able to exist, except for ZoS.

you know who has been pointing out perspective in this thread? people who rightfully point the blame at ZOS and trying to get us to stop arguing over which one of us have or do not have a right to be upset. we all have a right to be upset.

3. I only responded to you because you are calling the players banned for 11 days wanting to get back into their accounts selfish instead of directing your anger at Zos.

This whole event has been banned players taking losses for everyone else (to make the masses happy). 11 days of losses to make the average player happy. That seems quite the opposite of selfish to me. So maybe try being a little more empathetic in how you address them. You can be happy they are getting it back. And still mad at zos that they fumbled the final event day.

Selfish is the expectation that players who have been unfairly banned should have to wait another day and that the employees who are working on it should have to change their plans, so that the affected PC players can get a little bit more goodies than all the banned people and all the consoles players.

They should extend the event another day because players did count on the event notice being accurate.

But if ZOS can only help one group of players, it is obvious the priority should be the ones who have been locked for more than a week. They have been the most negatively impacted by a country mile and waiting would impact them the most.

Sorry for y'all horse.

fair enough. I merely got annoyed by dismissiveness some of those players had towards those of us missing out on the last day as if 4 hours after 11 days will make as much of a difference to THEM as missing a day we didn't budget for is going for us . but in the end - you are correct, ZoS is to blame here. I do feel bad for people who lost acess to their main account. I feel less bad, given that for once ZoS decided to actualy decently compensate them for it. only to fumble it at the end anyway

its not average player vs locked out accounts though. its players who did vs didn't use pts - we are all average players technically and the accounts weren't locked out to make US happy, they were locked out because ZoS had to sort through accounts that abused the bug and accounts that didn't.

not a day. 4 hours - start the maintenance at 10am instead of 6am on this same day. that said, yes, ZoS should extend the event, its the ONLY solution at this point that works for everyone rather then divides the playerbase over something that is NOT our fault anyway.

Because I feel like we are not celebrating a tenth anniversary, but more like someone Daedric Princes are reminding us that we are just slaves of Coldharbour and must spend the rest of our lives in constant disappointment, quarrels and disillusionment.

Sorry for y'all horse.

not a day. 4 hours - start the maintenance at 10am instead of 6am on this same day. that said, yes, ZoS should extend the event, its the ONLY solution at this point that works for everyone rather then divides the playerbase over something that is NOT our fault anyway.

The maintenances are scheduled when they are because it's the time that effects the least number of players and their employees are scheduled for it.

They'd most likely have to move it a day.

and we wouldn't have to agree to disagree if ZoS did what they should and extend the event by at least another day, so that EVERYONE, including people who had no acess to their accounts for 11 days - get to acess at least the last day (or 2 for the pts affected players really - given how resets work in this game).
and yet it ends up being dismissive anyway. why are you so upset about losing a day of rewards in a video game when children are starving. you shouldn't be upset. by this argument, people who missed out on 11 days of even - shouldn't be upset either. after all - children are starving, have some perspective! >_> (this was sarcasm)

you know who has been pointing out perspective in this thread? people who rightfully point the blame at ZOS and trying to get us to stop arguing over which one of us have or do not have a right to be upset. we all have a right to be upset.
I think you having misread what I have written. I am not upset at all that a day is being lost, and I’m not quite sure where you got that impression?

I have been locked out for 10 days. I don’t care to spend one day on an event. I gain what? 2 tickets? I don’t care. It’s not even a fraction of what I have lost. I want my access restored.

The event got extended. People got more loot than originally scheduled. Now they are upset the extension got shortened. They still got more time to play the event than originally scheduled.

And no they aren’t all blaming zos. Some of those people are saying, to hell with people wanting their locked accounts back, they can wait.

4 hours. you are willing to throw a big chunk of players under the bus over FOUR. HOURS.

1. If you read my comment I said I wouldn’t have minded waiting.
2. Banned players didn’t select the time.

And still mad at zos that they fumbled the final event day.

fair enough.

See you’re doing it again. You are mentioning people being dismissive about you yet you are dismissing them. For example I already bought all the confetti pieces I needed before catching my ban. So Zos gives me 25 great but I was already on track to make that. So now I missed out on all the cake stuff and I left the event off with 0 tickets. Plenty of players in the banned park shoes were screwed by Zos event ticket wise. You aren’t alone. But the banned players definitely got screwed worse.

And yes the accounts were quite literally locked to make most players happy. They could have just rolled back everyone and it probably would have been much easier on Zos. But they didn’t want to deal with the mass outrage so they took this route of shafting the few over and over again.

Also no a temp account with no eso+ or leveled mules doesn’t really do much for this event.

Ok can we all just take a time out and Breathe please.

For one we the players, no matter locked out or not, no matter pc/ps/xbox are not the ones at fault here.
We shouldn't be pointing the fingers at each other saying "it's your fault such and such is happening"

What has happened here is no fault of our own.

PCNA got a 2 day Extension because of the 9 hour downtime Zos needed to fix a problem on their end that caused the PTS server to interact with the Live server.
And people got locked out of their accounts because of that mistake
Now PCNA loses 4 hours of that extension time due to Zos deciding they want to release those who were locked out due to the PTS fiasco.

So ask yourself this...How are any of us (the players) at fault?
The players whom got locked out didn't ask to get locked out. They were just trying to help test out Gold Road on the PTS or wanted to see all the new stuff.

The PCNA players didn't ask for the event to end 4 hours earlier than what was announced.

So why are we at each others throats?

I understand we all are upset for one reason or another. But taking it out on each other is not the solution.

Instead of wasting our energy grabbing for each others necks, why don't we try to figure out something reasonable we can present to Zos that will make everyone at least somewhat happier than they are now?
PC NA. Despite my forum account saying I am new to ESO, I am not. I have been playing since 2015.
Have a good day everyone. Practice smiling and showing others love. It will go a long ways.

We don't know why they "have" to choose this because they aren't clarifying and that's a real shame.

All OP (and others) are saying is IF it has to be a choice, THEN they should prioritize the people locked out for 10+ days, not the people missing 4 bonus hours and a few bonus tickets. PC players were able to receive every single ticket & fragment initially promised plus more.

so you know what? I'm going to say it. YOU. are being selfish right now. yes YOU. not players who would like to have those 4 measly hours to finish the event.

Sorry for y'all horse.

They'd most likely have to move it a day.

they have had delayed maintenances before. and as I said after many other players pointed out, the solution here is to EXTEND THE EVENT.

I literally pointed out twice now they should extend the event. Just saying it shouldn't come at the expense of the players who are locked out. And if they have to pick only 1 group to help, the locked player are, and should be, the priority.

why do they have to chose - they control the game and events in it, but they cannot control THIS? why MUST they screw over more players one way or another? no, I do not agree.

We don't know what employee scheduling is like for that.

Instead of wasting our energy grabbing for each others necks, why don't we try to figure out something reasonable we can present to Zos that will make everyone at least somewhat happier than they are now?

reasonable solution - have maintenance proceed as planned. EXTEND the EVENT by at least one day. problem? solved.

@TKo_ROUSE no, I'm not dismissing you - and you know what? maybe they SHOULD have rolled everyone back and then extended the event for everyone. I'm not entirely convinced that they did it to please the players that didn't use pts and so weren't affected by the bug, but that would have also prevented the issue where apparently some people managed to transfer their ill gotten gains away from their main accounts - an issue that may not be solved even now. however - that doesn't change the fact that they are not making EVERYONE unhappy. and they didn't have to. and being excited by getting your account back now - doesn't change that.

employee scheduling for what? extending the event? does that really take that long to change the date in a variable??
