Zos doesn’t answer to you. The company does business clearly the way they want to. This event was already extended, and not for those that had locked accounts (because we are still in zos jail while you all played your little hearts out) — this extension benefited the people who are now complaining that they are being shorted 4 or 6 hours.
Stop complaining. Be happy with the time you were given and the loot you acquired.
@ZOS_GinaBruno You really should extend the event at least another day. This means that when I get my account back, the event will be over. What if I wanted to buy things from the Impresario?

ZOS does in a way answer to the player base as a whole. Without players there would be no game.
that said your point IS valid in that the event was extended technically an additional 2 days. we should be grateful for that.

No they really cannot. The people who have been locked out this whole time have waited long enough. They should extend the event one more day but they absolutely should do maintenance as planned.

Just when you thought this sad fiasco of a colossal failure was almost over and it could not get any worse, they just had to find a way to make it worse.
It does for me also. But..shadyjane62 wrote: »For me this cuts off the last 4 hrs of event. You can't wait one more day?

I had planned to finish the event with 12/12 tickets but the short notice maintenance tomorrow morning means I'll finish with 9/12. Another one day extension would be appropriate and welcome if it can be done without delaying getting locked out players back in the game.

so you know what? I'm going to say it. YOU. are being selfish right now. yes YOU. not players who would like to have those 4 measly hours to finish the event.
but... if we are being real - the blame lays with ZoS. both for scheduling maintenance to start precisely at the same time as the event resets - but more so, for that change they made originally when dailies reset at a different time for US vs NA. with old reset timers? WE WOULDN"T BE HAVING THIS ISSUE.
/end rant.
I'm going to wait until the last possible moment to see if ZoS reads this thread and hopefully delays maintenance until end of the event.

They absolutely should restore the locked out players as soon as possible. But why would they claim that they were extending the event by two days, when neither the locked out players or the rest of the players will have access to the promised second day?

To be honest I’m at the point I don’t care when I get unlocked. I would have been fine waiting personally. But seeing takes like this makes me feel zos should just lock the whole server next time. See how everyone likes being out of the game permanently for an unknown amount of time.
Absolutely terrible take and I would be embarrassed to say I wrote that. Players have missed ten/11 days of event and tickets and you are going to call them selfish? You already got an extension for zos mess up. Honestly you maybe missed a day and got a day so you are still at least even with consoles.

I'm calling you selfish for not being able to wait a whole 4 hours and to heck with anyone else. that said? had they locked the game entirely and just restart once everything was fixed? WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER then how they handled it IMO. at least then we would all be in the same spot and NO ONE would techincaly be missing anything. and incidentally - they gave you all free accounts, you could have been doing dailies for boxes this entire time anyway and earning those motifs and mats - they are already compensating you for account specific things you'd be missing out on, like the horse collectible.
4 hours. you are willing to throw a big chunk of players under the bus over FOUR. HOURS.

Oof.
Look how upset you are with 4 missed hours of an *extension*. Now imagine 10+ days.
There's no need to beat on the people who were locked out. If takes losing four hours of the *extended* event to get them back in 4 hours sooner, that's not a sacrifice I have any issue with.
There are questions to be asked of ZOS, though (and if they were answered with today's announcement, that would have been super helpful).
Like:
What is the reason the locked out players are being blocked from participating in the finale of the event?
What is the reason, once you knew their return date & time, you couldn't add on a bit more event time?
Do you have plans to offer additional time at some future point?
Call me naieve (and I know a lot of you will and you ain't wrong 🤣) but there has got to be a reason they chose these specific, out of the ordinary times, and to take back some of the promised extension. I don't believe this was some intentional punishment or random "oopsie".
It's yet another thing, in a series of things, where some clarity would go a long way instead of allowing it to fester on the forums (and subject the locked out players to any further abuse.)
Just sayin...
