The final dolmen boss drops the boxes.
So unless you are one of the top damage dealers of the players there, you won't get the box.
You can see this by going to somewhere other than Alik'r. Alik'r you are competing with like 100+ players for that loot drop.

It says "completing an incursion event" rewards you with boxes. I understand that as "the box is in the chest at the end of the dolmen", not "the final boss drops the box". So if you are elligible to loot that chest, you should get that box. I heard that the final boss is the one dropping the style page, which is kind of messed up in its own way if true, but that's a different matter.
if you give people a reason to flock to an activity via extra incentives (aka loot), make sure that there isn't a bottleneck in place that makes it so the majority of participants are wasting their time while only the a dozent people or so end up with said loot.
Okay then, so this is just another example of the mess that was Shadowfen when Blackwood launched. ZOS still hasn't learned that lesson almost 3 years later.

If you don't learn that lesson, people will instead play games that did.
Well, I strongly approve the drone play of Alikir Dolmens not giving rewards. I should probably keep the rest of my opinion to myself so the mods don't slap me.

Not sure what people expect flocking to Alik'r though. Literally just jumping into a perpetual bottle neck.
Like, you go literally to any other dolmen and there are like 10-20 players max in other zones. Maybe even far less in more "arduous" zones.

I think people expect ZOS to make the event work regardless of the number of participants lol. People are doing the dolmens. That's what ZOS wanted. So now they get punished for it by gate keeping the loot for the top% of damage dealers? Lmao.

You mean, the loot drop working as it always has worked, including even in events that are even more pointed towards these types of encounters.

With 16M health, the dragons are far more fun for events like these.

When the game has unfun design because of bots, then the bots are the issue that needs to be addressed. I'd rather solve a captcha every time I log in than have stupid artificial limits like these which discriminate against healers and tanks.

It's not even a percentage, it's a fixed number (think 12 top dps but could remember it wrong). At least when using a percentage it would scale when there are more people.
