Please no. As you said, game is ten years old. I vote we stop messing with this sort of thing completely

PvP. Don't care, battle spirit whatever you want as long as it doesn't infect PvE jumpers.

It is not, but jumping still should take away from a pool of energy for the player. The act should not be fee if it provides a defensive benefit. If not, nor should other defensive skills, this game is not Fortnite.

Contrary to blocking, dodging or even sprinting, jumping is a "defensive skill" only if enemy can't use his mouse/controller.

I don't believe the enemy type of physical controller or virtual automated macro (violation of EULA) has anything to do with damage mitigation due to free AKA in-game no-cost jump action in PvP combat. Just like perma-block in the past, the action can be performed without an assumed cost.
@Sakiri
As someone who considers her focus PvP, I would definitely quit this game if they made jumping cost something. I, out of habit or whatever, constantly jump in games when I move. I don't necessarily do it to evade or be harder to hit, I do it because my brain likes to idk. I have never struggled hitting someone who is jumping either and if the complaint is PvP based.... there is tab targeting and I'd question if they know that. It highlights the person and basically makes them impossible to miss, what more could one want.... or should I say need?
Oh, and as someone who takes house decorating very seriously.... I definitely jump a lot while doing so. I need to in order to make interesting custom furniture, to make sure things are lined up or centered, maybe I'm putting something up really high and am climbing on a bunch of tables.... who knows, but jumping is definitely a core part of completing a house for me.
I wasn't trying to insinuate that you were, sorry if it came off that way. I just wanted to put out there that this change isn't something desired by many PvP players and also doesn't make sense to me, a PvP player xDOH, I'm not in favor of adding a cost, I'm just trying to figure out why it's necessary.

so? which game has a cost attached to jumping?
i have never heard of one.
and changing ESO this way after 10 years really would be absurd.
Make a survey and see the results. Probably 80% of the player base is against it.

Yeah, can't say I've ever heard of this. And if there really is such a set.... then the problem that needs addressed is the set, not jumping.What's the name of this set?NeoXanthus wrote: »I did not even mention bunny hopping, but you are correct.
