I don't understand why EU is all riled up. Do you guys not work during the day? You should miss most of it.
I just wish they wouldn't do the NA/EU server maintenance at the same time as the PTS maintenance.
This is when many players go to another game - maybe a new game like Baldur's Gate that several of my Guildmates are migrating to.
And maybe total inaccessibility to ESO will just p*ss enough people off to not come back.

Doubtless some of us are at an age where we're retired. Mind you, that also means we're also at an age where we probably don't get worked up over whether or not we can get to play a computer game !
I don't mind the long maintenance hours, just the fact that it happens on the last day of the event, so I will miss out on a ticket and also the chance to finish the new style pages.

Me myself I am quite relaxed since I dont have ESO+ anymore. It is totally relieving now that I know I do not pay them for this! And yes I can farm still. Just a little bit of organizing but it works out fine. I even reduced my time in TESO and found out that others mothers got good daughters too
It’s amazing how many people out there just assume everyone works 9-5. I haven’t worked a traditional 9-5 job in over a decade! Shift workers like us represent a significant proportion of the workforce.

@Jaimeh they are extending the event by one day to compensate for the maintenance. Good that ZOS responded to the outcry over maintenance during events.

Yes, not having ESO+ makes it more tolerable. I recently returned to ESO after a four year break… I’ve been back for little over a month, and during that time, there has been more downtime for maintenance in this game than I’ve seen in any of the other games I play combined. It’s a little nuts that there is a 10 hour maintenance today, considering how recently we just had another extended maintenance.
I used to sub year-round, but I learned my lesson when I quit back in 2019 due to ongoing unresolved issues in the game. If I was subbed at the moment, I’d be pretty frustrated with the sheer amount of lost “premium” game time I’d already paid for.
Given the frequency of lengthy maintenance windows in ESO, it makes more financial sense to me as a player to simply buy the chapters on sale so you always have access to major systems (jewelry crafting, antiquities), and then sub periodically (maybe 3-4 times a year, max) just to temporarily free up some inventory space and avail of the less important DLCs during events.

And I have friends who are paraplegic.
Some are retired, some are service related issues.
Playing video games is one of the few things they can do that reminds them of being agile and running through fields.
Computer video games can be more important to some people than just wasting time.
There are people who use action video games as mental therapy from being physically broken.
