I don't understand why EU is all riled up. Do you guys not work during the day? You should miss most of it.
Doubtless some of us are at an age where we're retired. Mind you, that also means we're also at an age where we probably don't get worked up over whether or not we can get to play a computer game !
And I have friends who are paraplegic.
Some are retired, some are service related issues.
Playing video games is one of the few things they can do that reminds them of being agile and running through fields.
Computer video games can be more important to some people than just wasting time.
There are people who use action video games as mental therapy from being physically broken.
Look, I'm a disabled housewife.
I've been playing these games for over 20 years. They're my social life, as well.
Server maintenance happens, it's not always convenient, and it annoys me as well, but I'm not all riled up over it. And yes, I'm paying for ESO Plus. I'm also paying a subscription for FFXIV at the same time. Maintenance is in the contract. For both.
"ZeniMax does not guarantee that any Services will be accessible or available at all times, in all countries and/or all geographic locations, at any given time, or that ZeniMax will continue to offer any particular Services for any particular length of time. Except as prohibited by applicable law and subject to the Statutory Obligations (as defined in Section 1), ZeniMax reserves the right to change and/or update Content without notice to You."
They don't even need to tell you the servers are going down for maintenance. Some people seem to think that paying a subscription entitles them to on demand access to the servers. It does not. It does not in any other MMORPG with a subscription model either.
MOST people will be working during most of the downtime. That's why they pick the times they do. Least traffic = a good time to do maintenance. They're not trying to spite people. Find something else to do. Read a book, troll reddit, watch a movie on the couch... maybe even spend quality time with the family, idk. You'll survive.

It’s amazing how many people out there just assume everyone works 9-5. I haven’t worked a traditional 9-5 job in over a decade! Shift workers like us represent a significant proportion of the workforce.
Yeah, exactly..
Everyone assumes that everyone in the EU has an 8 hour work day 8-16 / 9-17 and that every schoolchild has to be in school.
There are many reasons why people are at home in the EU and the constant taunts that it doesn't affect you (EU), you are supposed to be at work or school is a joke.
Tbh I've never worked anything other than shift work

this is incredible. i get to play the game at 22:00 tonight. ZoS is forgetting we pay to play this game, thus deserve a certain level of service. this is not it, maintenance hours are becoming longer and longer and longer. This needs to stop thank you

Edit: Thank you ZOS for extending the event one day!
The original point of this thread is solved, no need to keep complaining about it.
Normally I don't complain over maintenance on the last day of an event, since there's usually enough time to quickly get the last tickets. But this time, maintenance is scheduled to begin 1hour before the reset on the NA server, and end 2 hours after the event ends. So, unless maintenance is more than 2 hours faster than scheduled, it's literally completely impossible to get the last event tickets on the NA server.
Would it be possible to move maintenance 1 day, preferably to wednesday, or monday?
(All of this under the condition I calculated correctly. If not, please let me know )

Look, I don't like it either, but it isn't as though ZOS does maintenance solely to annoy players. If it wasn't necessary they wouldn't be doing it. Regardless whether we pay or not, maintenance is a necessary evil and something we just have to put up with.
Nothing wrong with venting, I get it, but it isn't as though they can just stop doing maintenance.

I got what I needed from this event. If missing the two tickets is that huge for you then I'd say just buy them in the crown store.

You should gifht him a ticket if you think money does not matter that much.
If you see your pizza place say they are delivering in between 20-45 minutes and it arrived exactly at 45 minutes are you satisfied? they are legally in right of couse, and i understand that they do what they need to do, that doesn't make me a happy customer.
I don't think they are doing their best and it bothers me

Well said. Kudos.
@ZOS_GinaBruno why not do maintenance in the dead of night when no one’s playing?? 9am till 11pm is an entire day for the EU servers
How dare those system engineers in the US work during normal hours. They should work for you at night to avoid inconveniencing you for one day on an entertainment service.
