And, because the next instance of this event will take a year to happen, everybody will have forgotten what the problem even was, and the team won't have to change anything. Win/win.

Does kinda have that “sweep it under the rug” feel, though I do understand the answer to “prayer” is sometimes “no” so I kinda take it with that grain of salt as well. I respect Kevin enough to not assume negative things as far as I’m sure he has passed feedback along. Either nobody wanted to change it, disagreed with our feedback, or simply couldn’t be bothered to poke the code for this event.

But my memory is long. Very long. I’ll float this up next May to get everyone back on radar about it…

Sure, but this is not about feedback being relayed or not to the teams, it is about the sheer uselessness of it regardless.
That recent snafu with the arcanist's crux giving people motion sickness? Reported several times on the PTS. Pushed live anyway.
This feedback on how this change makes the Zenithar aspect of the event, the only one you cannot grind? Given while it was on the PTS. Ignored, not a single comma of developer feedback on why.
Meanwhile, we have a situation with the "new" endeavors on the PTS. Feedback is being given. I am expecting a grand total of nothing to come out of said feedback, just like this with event, AwA and a plethora of other examples.

    I think it's fine

The game already has far too much event, granting far too much reward.
I'm getting sick of seeing pages upon pages of the same style, pages that become worthless after a day or two because we can't kick a stone without finding three of them.

    Sometimes, less is more (fun)

    My exact thoughts.

I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

@ZOS_Kevin I really hope the events team is still reading through this thread and will reconsider the change to the event.
Please leave it like last year, it was FUN, rewarding and didn't feel stressful or grindy. Just nice rewards for putting in a little work :)

The team always reviews feedback and we (the community team) also pass that feedback on as well. Any changes to Zeal of Zenithar for this year are pretty much set in stone. However, we will voice this feedback for the team for their future consideration.
As someone who hoards master writs for this exact event, I'd rather you delay the event and fix it. Before running the event! This event was for crafters, and now this is no longer the case.

This was basically my only way to gain those boxes. Really unfair. Atleast remove the guildmate requirement from the kill worldbosses for boxes this event, so everyone can farm boxes.

PS: I'm not using add-ons, so I handcraft every writ manually, 7 at a time. Porting from/to my house and back to the turn-in.

As a heads up to potentially save you time in the future, if you read/jot down what each writ is, you can actually pre-craft all of them. Then, go to the master writ vendor, activate each writ so it hits your journal. Then turn in your pre-crafted item. So long as you made it correctly, you don't have to wait to craft it until it is an active quest in your journal. You can simply make your whole hoard of them, then stand there and turn in one by one.

Thanks for the info, and I knew this already. Too low on inventory space to do things this way, and too hard to find the correct station in my house. Doing it 7 at a time is actually fastest without add-ons. (my loading screens take 2.5 secs)

With these changes this event might as well not exist for me. Run around with a guild group trying to find world bosses that actually up? Not my idea of fun. And those world bosses are going to die so fast that if you are not there the instant they spawn your chances of getting a hit in are going to be zero.

Why would you, or really anyone complaining about hording master writs, horde master writs for this event?

An even that happened 1 time, last year, with no actual indication that it would ever happen again. As has been the case for other events, just 1 off occurrences. OR even events that just don't even happen any more (would love some double maelstrom drops).

Why would 1 occurrence of an event leave you with a decision to horde for the possibility of that event happening again, and then somehow be upset that the event was changed in its SECOND iteration due to, what I can only imagine was, a perceived abuse of the reward mechanics by the devs.

I'm disappointed by the limit on boxes. With bad RNGeesus, it's likely that'll push many to use event tickets to complete whatever collectible is released for the event. Zenithar is the big guy of hard work; well, it was bloody hard work to max crafting, learn all 9 traits and collect almost all motifs and it's hard work to hoard the mats to craft the exquisite items from master writs (yeah, I can craft that legendary max cp training greatsword from a healing set, baby!).

Now, if one wants to farm boxes, they'll need to group with guildmates. Well, what about those who aren't in any guilds? Or those who prefer to play solo? Or those for whom social interactions aren't easy? Or, and think about it, those who hate being pushed to socialize? Why would Zenimaxthar reward teaming up with guildmates but not total strangers? Yes, yes, this is an MMO, but it's one that from its beginning was quite solo-friendly.

I do hope they at least made the award-winning radish stackable. I still have mine from last year and want a few more.

I feel like since Microsoft bought Bethesda, things are constantly getting streamlined and taken away. Especially for PVE players where that used to be more balanced. I have been playing since beta, newer players maybe cannot have this comparison. I really like this game, but for the first time, I am wondering about the way it’s going since it is not really just Bethesda anymore.
