my main feedback is that i would have done more of the quests if the purple boxes were literally not full of garbage

i had several purple boxes i opened and the only thing i got was a blue treasure item (that you could get from stealing, value 250g) and a stack of 4 absolutely useless inventory consuming dazzlers that you cannot even sell and have to use or destroy

i would prefer to mark them as junk and let them get handled by a merchant

the way the daedroth suit was handled was also poor, due to the length of the event it should have only required 5 scraps to craft the outfit, or made their ticket cost reduced significantly (1 ticket instead of 3)
    plays PC/NA

    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

Posted for my guildie, @calumTraveler, who is not on the Forum:
Fragments for the Jester's Daedroth costume dropped way too infrequently. I helped two friends get theirs. Between the three of us, we only got enough fragments for two costumes.

I don't mind not having the costume and pooling my fragments for friends that did want it, but we shouldn't have HAD to do that. Each person should be able to earn it just by doing Jester's quests.

Either RNG for the fragments should be higher, or fewer pieces should be required.

(Also, more cute costumes like that, please!)

    1. The event rewards should always be able to be gotten during the event WITHOUT the need to buy additional tickets.
    2. The Sovereign Sow is taking a ridiculous number of YEARS while doing the event EVERY DAY! I have accounts that STILL only have 1/7 pieces for this despite doing the event every day for several years!

I still have Minstrel Cloth scraps to give to those who didn't get enough and really want the costume.

Hi All, now that Jester's Fest is over, if you haven't already submitted feedback, please do so in this thread. We will be going through comments to send over a post-event list of player feedback to the team. This is to provide to our teams with your feedback for consideration for next year. Thanks in advance for taking the time to submit feedback!
Well this year I was slacking according to Eventor as I got only 161 purple Jester boxes. Doing trials really hinder event farming.

The trend that new stuff comes from the daily golden box and old stuff from farmable purple is nice. It encourages you to come to play every day, trade with other players and be active right to the point until you get old stuff from the golden daily box.

As the new quests are the same so is the feedback regarding those.
Shared quest progression is much appreciated while the smaller 12 group size is still a bummer. I deerly miss the 24-player daily quest trains.

All the quests are soloed in a flash by anyone that can push even five digits of DpS but those that do not struggle with the king. Compared to Plucking the Crow it is similar but does not have enough elements to make people group up. Making the king get two apples in the same time would encourage having a group and increasing his total HPS while making the rage increase its damage significantly would require a more diverse group than just moar dps.

Would be nice to have an alternative for killing stuff to get the dazzlers for Glenumbras quest. Like crafting the missing parts instead of hunting innocent NPCs. Also, I still don't get why the lizard is walking to the table when making the buzzers. If they are created on the floor like he says, then why is he walking to the table to get something? I would understand getting the parts, and then doing magic but not the other way around.

Piggy quest is my favourite of the old ones and the band is just excellent and bestest. It should be used as a benchmark for all quests. Multiple endings, player actions actually matter, non-hostile and hostile approaches, group friendly and that Daedra stage diving just gets my metal heart pumping. \,,/

Prankster quest has so much potential but You can't choose the target and its NPC only. Like adding extra flavour to a crafter food or potion and hen witnessing someone use such jester-boosted consumables. Potion of spell power with a splash of hiccup flavour?

The apple-collecting quest feels like it is missing something. The Sparkling Mudcrab Apple Cider has no use and getting more than one apple has no point. If you would get some random drink or food and its quality would be according to the number of apples collected then that would be something.

The theme is nice and the voice acting and jokes are hilarious. At least the first 100 times. Next year maybe a bit more lines?

The timing of the event is so close to the anniversary that I'd rather see the event end on April Fools day so there would be even a bit of breathing room to the next event. Event Spamm Online starts to be a thing.

Event was too short. Events like this should last at least 2 weekends.

Event start times should coincide with server reset times. That way players have full days on any server to get items

I feel that event specific drop items should be able to be complete with good rng by 50 - 60% through it with reasonable bad rng 75 - 100% and only with really really bad rng you net be able to do so.

I would also suggest that you move the event catch up bag to the event assistant and update it with the prior quarter's event items with every patch update. Meaning q1 event items get added to those make up bags In q2, and q2's with q3's, etc

This would allow people that missed an event to catch up on those items.

    - If you decide to randomise the new shiny, then the drop rate should be so that with average luck, you definitely will get enough fragments for whatever it is.
    - That said, a random chance at stuff sucks in general.
    - I have no idea why I would want to do more than one Jester's quest. The purple boxes were not worth the few minutes for additional quests.
    - The main purpose of sparklers and pies is to clog up the inventory. Do something about it - make them sellable at the vendor, for instance. And drop them less frequently.
    - Overall, for me the event consisted of porting to Stonefalls, making a round tour of Ebonheart to do the pig quest... and get out. The other quests take longer, need going through loading screens, and I saw no reason to do them.

I agree so much with this. There's nothing good from the purple boxes. If you could get the year's collectible, or pieces for the Sovereign Sow, then I would've done more than one quest a day. Also, it would be nice if the Festival started sooner so that it would last longer.

My thread used for collecting names who need scraps to finish the costume got moved to Players Helping Players; I requested it get moved back at least until late next week but doesn't look like that's going to happen. I still have scraps on both PC NA and PC EU - more on EU for some reason.

The trouble with "collect this over multiple events" is... If there are too many of such things... Then players never have the chance to eventually "catch up" and, instead, end up forever "falling further behind", which is discouraging.

It's better to have none of the parts at all, and for a thing to be unavailable and unattainable, than to have some but not all of the parts of a multi-part thing. ANY multi-part thing.

Personally, I don't mind the "collect over multiple events" rewards. The problem that I have is when the parts clutter up inventory and bank space instead of Collections/Fragments. Then I have to store these things until the next year.

As for there being too many, my issue with that is trying to remember which thing goes with which event, outside of the event, and without spending time researching it on the internet.

I don't need to have all the things, so if it takes me a couple years to get all of the parts, it takes a couple years.

So... more, please, but make them fragments, not inventory items.

My theory is there is an entire team whose sole task is to come up with ways to fill up our inventories. I have a friend who is too smart for them and does an excellent inspiring job at inventory management, but unfortunately I’m not very good at it (“But I might need that someday!”) 😂

Problem with this is once they are fragmented, you can't create runeboxes. I have all the parts to make an Apple Bobbing Cauldron runebox, but I can't make one, because it says "You already have that collectable." And the individual parts don't sell fror much. But the actual Apple Bobbing Cauldron runebox I have is worth millions.

I still have a few scraps of minstrel cloth left on PC NA to give to those who didn't get enough for the costume. I have 5 left on that server.

On PC EU I have quite a few more than that.

I did one event quest every day of the event, including the pre turn over last day. My totals were:

    2 cloth scraps
    1 broom

I knew going in the deck was stacked against getting the costume so I didn't sweat it - I used my tickets to buy the bucket - but that drop rate is atrocious. Some of the "stupendous" boxes were anything but - with a purple shard for a memento I already have.

If the fancy new thing is only going to (maybe) drop from the once a day box, the loot pool for that box needs to be trimmed. Have the other things drop from the standard boxes.

That might even encourage more engagement in the event - because I know the event for me was "Talk to Jester Jorunn, steal pig, get tickets, log out."
