i would like to agree with the other posters that this setup makes little sense

the jester event is running the 29th to the 6th, though due to the changed reset times, the majority will be unable to get the tickets for the reset on the 6th, which effectively only leaves 7 days worth of tickets

if you are only giving 3 tickets per day, even going into this event with 10-12 tickets its going to be really tight to get everything unless say push off the passion muse stuff until later because those will be there for every event throughout the year

the passion muse fragments alone are 10 tickets each, you need 15 tickets to remake the fragment pet base, then hide shoulders is 5 tickets (which is horrendous in its own right, it should not cost tickets period), then the cost of the bucket helmet and broom pages, and the cost of any costume fragments you might be missing

    so assuming you wanted to get everything during this event that is 10+15 + 5 + 5 + 5 + X

thats 40 tickets right there + whatever you would need for the costume fragments, in an event that is only giving like 24 tickets (though most will only get 21 due to not being able to get the ones on the 6th when the event ends due to the short window early morning reset time)

I will be happy to give to PC NA and PC EU players whatever pages I get, on a first come first served basis. The costume is SO not my thing, nor so far is the Dibella stuff, so I'll get the Hide Shoulders on each account the first day.

I think the thing to do is wait until the event is over, and I'll list what pages I got (which considering my crap RNG for event stuff may not be gazoolas); and those who need a page I have can let me know either in this thread or by PM.

Reactions from players are overwhelmingly negative. There won't be enough tickets to get the personality, costume, bucket and broom, and hide shoulders unless resorting to the crown store. In previous years there were clear incentives to do all available event quests, even on multiple characters; this time there's almost no reason to get purple boxes. What sort of event is this that makes it impossible to collect all the new shinies without using real money and doesn't actually encourage more participation? The event isn't on yet, why can't tweaks to drop rates (for example, to make the costume fragments a guaranteed drop) be made?

I guess the joke's on us.

It's a disturbing precedent when the only way to get event rewards are either being forced to buy tickets in the crown store, or paying exorbitant prices from guild traders who will take advantage of the artificially manufactured scarcity of drops.

Corporate image should be important. This looks to be a lose/lose situation in that regard. The obvious solution would be to add (reasonable, not ridiculously rare) costume fragment drops to the purple boxes.

There is still time. The fact that this thread even exists gives hope that they are open to change. Time will tell.

These situations make me not want to participate. I won't be trying to collect the fragments. I stop caring when playing the game doesn't reward. I don't give in to tactics that try to force me to spend crowns just to finish something that I started through playing the game. If the game play isn't rewarded, what's the point? I'll just get the shoulders and not do the rest of the event. I stopped caring.

Proofreader @Kelinmiriel, we appreciate your service. Making the change now.

Is the Startdate correct? When yes, we get 27 Tickets, not 24. Or starts the Event on March 30, this is a Thursday. When yes, please correct :)

Note: For me: I never seen a Event starts on a Wednesday.

I know ZOS used to favor *not* counting the last partial day when reporting the number of available tickets due to the fact that not all players can do it or if a maintenance precludes that... particularly in this case since NA will only have a 4-hour window to get that elusive 8th day of tickets, and even then that's assuming we won't have a maintenance on the 6th (which would start at 4 am EDT or two hours before reset, and would prevent all NA players from getting on in time to get the 8th day).

In recent events, they have started counting that last day, but now with the reset changes they probably went back to not including that last 'day' in the article. And I fear that NA players will probably only be able to get the max of 24 anyway due to the potential for maintenance and the short window.

Are Bucket Style Page and Broom Style Page somehow revelant to Pay to Lose items added in 2017?
Do they look the same? I wanted to buy them but I started playing about 5 months later.

From PTS, they are outfit style pages of the Pay to Lose pack items.

The PtL pack was a Level 1 gear set. What is being offered here is style pages that can be applied to any outfit, so you can also choose to put those on and wear it in actual content.
For EU the new reset times has made it significantly easier to get the pages the last day as it reset in the middle of night rater at the morning, who had been 08:00 with summer time in central Europe then most has left for work or school. This would be worse for players in east Europe.
Now its just to wake up 5 minutes earlier to get the tickets.

I assume the reset time is also at the middle of the night on PC servers, here the early closing will hit people working shifts.

Agree, standard is that other fragments like this costume drop from purple boxes to increase participation.
I'm likely to drop it as it's not my style but definitely getting the broom and hide shoulders.

Yes, this is correct. And the event start/end time is still 10 am EDT, so those of us who play on any of the NA servers will only have four hours to get our last partial-day tickets.

EU reset time is now 11 pm EDT, so EU players will have 11 hours for their last partial-day tickets.

This is the way it will be for all events going forward, until/unless the system is changed - EU players will have half a day to get their last tickets; NA players will have four hours. (Unless there's a shutdown the night before - if that happens, shutdown time is BEFORE NA reset, so that window will be essentially eliminated.)

And for those who've noted the issue with certain new items only dropping in gold boxes - same applies to the gold boxes as tickets.

EU people will have 11 hours to get their 8th gold box. NA players will have 4 hours.

Why is the official Jester's event page showing start/finish times in EDT? This is supposed to be a global game! They should be showing times in UTC offsets, i.e. UTC-0400 and *not* EDT.

Probably because event starting/ending times are at 10:00 am US Eastern time - the same time that the Crown Store items change over, and to further complicate matters, it's Eastern Standard time when the US is in Standard time, and Eastern Daylight Saving Time when the US is observing DST (which it currently is.)

All other reset times are fixed, not subject to US time changes.

I've noticed that times are often given in US Eastern with UCT in parenthesis after for the NA server, and in UCT with US Eastern in parenthesis for EU. I guess the UCT got missed this time.

Anyway, for your convenience, 10:00 am EDT = 14:00 UCT
From November to March, the US is on standard time. 10:00 am EST = 15:00 UCT

Thanks. It's been mentioned in other threads that event start/finish times should be the daily/weekly reset times, and I think that makes sense, because people are used to that reset time (or they will be shortly, now that various other times have been changed to match it).

The times will update based on your page's language.

On the English international page, the times are listed in GMT. The German site has the times are in MESZ (CET). And so on. If you're based outside of the US, you really should be using your local site to get the best information.

Considering your username, I assume you're in Australia, so it may be best to use the Int'l English site, as the times will be listed in GMT (which for much of the year matches UTC). But the US site being on EDT is fine since you have a large portion of the US playerbase (and the Zenimax HQ) on EDT, so the times on the US site will reflect that.

The problem is they'll only drop from the golden boxes, hence many people complaining there won't be enough tickets to get everything new and my saying there are almost no incentives to do more than one event quest per day.

Last year I tried to get all the fragments for Sovereign Sow and wasn’t able to get them all. Quit the game for a year and was only gonna come back for this Jesters Festival to try and get the fragments once again. However, after reading the article, it looks like it’s not even a reward this year. Pretty disappointed 😔
