The first two days in a row I got a cloth scrap each day, then no more since. If I don’t get what I really want, the broom motif, before the end of the event maybe I’ll be able to trade one for a broom in zone chat.

For this event, I’m lucky to be so uninterested in the Daederoth costume because it doesn’t trigger my FOMO, and that’s saying a lot because I even had to have the pink Daggerfall Paladin costume, and we all know how that looks (just my opinion, and my apologies to the designers and to the people who liked it). But I’m sorry for the people who DO want the Daederoth costume and I do find it odd that the cloth scraps are not a guaranteed drop in the gold boxes AND a possible drop in the purple boxes. Those two things combined would virtually guarantee that people could possibly get enough scraps on one account to get the costume by the end of the event AND keep the scraps from costing so much gold on traders. The way it is designed right now, people HAVE to at buy at least some of them from guild traders, or spend event tickets on them, or buy tickets from the Crown store if they want everything. Please, correct me if I’m wrong, but I do not remember ever having to do this in an event before, and (remember my FOMO) I’m sure I have almost everything we can get from events since events first started. Now, there have been a few times where I’ve bought individual event style motifs on guild traders before the end of an event after their prices dropped because of how many were in the market, just in case one of them did not drop for me. But even in those cases, if I had waited, I would’ve probably gotten most of them out of the gold and purple boxes they dropped from. I have never had to buy event tickets with crowns. If the Daederoth costume HAD triggered my FOMO, this event would have caused me to be out either a lot of gold and/or a lot of crowns. Is this truly the way they purposely designed it? If so, I hope they reconsider this decision going forward for events.

Someone indicated to me that they are dropping from purple boxes now...can anyone confirm that?

On my alt I am opening 35-49 boxes a day (trying to finally complete the Sovereign Sow collectible, been 3 years now, is getting silly) and so far no cloth scraps in purple boxes.

Said that is taking that many to get a fragment of the collectible (I stop once I get a fragment because I have no idea if those are on a 20hr timer too or not and this is taking enough time as it is) so my RNG might not be the most reliable.

for The King's Spoils, the reward should be more than an extra apple cider for each rotten apple you get- once you get all four the least you can do is give a different reward box to reward peoples patience.

For the quest where you get Princess from Stonefalls, the guards should confiscate the pig if they catch you

The festival main quests shouldn't lead into one another like they currently do

other than that i feel the delve quests are fine, if people wanna blitz the easy quests they can for like 3 4 boxes, the remaining 3 are locked behind traveling and delves which is time consuming

And I know the game can be controversial and nothing will be done to address the frequency/triggers or tone of the actors from the base game, but if you do this on multiple characters you hear nothing but racist comments that are generalizable from the Aldmeri college-goers without having done the quest for it when you come through to throw petals. I would be careful of areas like this in the future.

I always thought the "we're racists who torture students" college was a really odd place for the quest. Phaer (cheering sick people up) or one of the angry ghost sites would make more sense.

Yesterday finally managed to finish this collectible on my alt.

It only took... hmmm... 3 Jester's events and finally biting the bullet and accepting that despite 'feedback being passed to the development team' (allegedly) every year they were never going to look into the 'chance to drop' of these fragments so 'brute force' was going to be the only path.

Probably not. It is pretty clear that the design is that some drop rates are set to not always guarantee success during any one event. This way, people either have to use bypasses, if available, or come back for multiple events in order to succeed in getting the reward.

I believe you can, if you got to where it shows all the different motifs you have, on shoulders you can click "hide" up at the top.

I have two accounts and play on two servers which means 4 gold boxes a day. This is a summary of the new items that I received from the event.

Over the two accounts and two servers:
Fragments collected: 20 fragments (EU: 12; NA: 8)
    Bucket pages collected: 0
    Broom pages collected: 4

I started out with 12 tickets and ended the event with 9. On both servers, I obtained all 27 of the tickets available for the event. Of the 39 tickets available (12+27) I spent 20 to complete the personality, 5 on Hide Shoulder, and 5 on a style page. By combining the fragments from both accounts, I completed 1 Jester's Minstrel Daedroth Costume on each server (1 on EU, 1 on NA). I used guild stores to fill in missing style pages and fragments.

Each day out of my four chances for a new item I received:
Mar 29: 1 new item (fragment) 1 EU, 0 NA
Mar 30: 3 new items (fragments) 2 EU, 1 NA
Mar 31: 2 new items (fragments) 2 EU, 0 NA
Apr 01: 4 new items (fragments) 2 EU, 2 NA
Apr 02: 1 new items (fragments) 1 EU, 0 NA
    Apr 03: 4 new items (fragments, 1 broom) 2 EU, 2 NA
    Apr 04: 2 new items (2 brooms) 0 EU, 2 NA
    Apr 05: 4 new items (3 fragments, 1 broom) 2 EU, 2 NA
Apr 06: 3 new items (fragments) 1 EU, 2 NA

This is up there competing for the worst event I think you've ever done and I'm not entirely sure why you're asking for our feedback, since we gave the same feedback for the last Witches Festival and you clearly ignored it when you presented this event to us.

A once a day chance to earn one of the new items, a chance that can easily come with some of the worthless stuff from previous years, is awful. If a new item isn't going to drop guaranteed from the gold box, then it NEEDS to have a decent drop rate from the purple boxes.

What you gave us was an event with 12 items to collect (2 style pages and 10 scraps) which may never drop for you if your RNG is poor and you gave us only 8 days to collect them (and it was supposed to only be 7!). It is mathematically impossible to earn the rewards without buying tickets and it's left a very sour taste in the mouth as it feels like it was designed to push people to buy tickets from the Crown Store.

There's a balance between making an item so common you can't even give it away (such as the early Anniversary style pages or those spiderpot parts) and making it so people are playing catchup in the next few events or buying them for literally millions of gold (on PC EU, I'd guess the scraps are about 300k each).

Overall this event is cute but wasn't worth the grind for 2 key reasons.

    1) Having a costume that there is no way to guaranteed earn is disheartening. The fragments cost 3 tickets (need 10 so 30 tickets total) each the event was only 7 days long (total 21 tickets). There was a deficit of 9 tickets that people needed for JUST the outfit. This doesn't include the fragments for the personality, or the new hide shoulder. While having quite a few items to work towards unlocking during an event is good this was too many.

    2) On top of that there is too many different styles offered with the Jester's festival. It would be best if many of them are retired like the Halloween or past pvp event grab bags. This would motivate toward grinding the event for coffers if you knew you weren't going to get another style page from year's past.

I hope to see an improvement for the Jester's festival because it is a rather delightful event, but always feels like it needs a face lift!

I got ONE cloth scrap across PC-NA and PC-EU. I even started playing my second account (which is really just a Guild Bank extension character) for a bit to see if I could pick up any scraps.

I ended up paying 3.376 million gold for 10 scraps to make the Jester Daedroth Suit. I can do this because I've been playing since 5 day pre-release (30th March 2014).

Getting the awesome fun new costume should NOT require having been in ESO since the year dot. Make it an ESO Plus exclusive item if you like, to encourage people to pick up a month of ESO Plus, but don't make it impossible to complete the costume without buying the pieces.

just a tiny little nitpick compared to a lot of the other larger things folks have brought up here but would it be possible to move the Nirn's Finest Wines eidetic memory book away from Jester Queen Ayrenn at the Auridon jester tent? i kept reading it by accident which would force me off my mount, not exactly the most fun thing to happen when youre aiming for speed. maybe put it nearby on the bench closer to the stage where the jester kings perform?

The time we had left on the NA server to collect our last ticket was only 4 hours, and it's super early in the morning for me and others not on EST. It would be ideal if the event ticket reset time could be moved back to what it previously was, or maybe for all servers the event reset time just match the event time start so 10 am EST and there would be no partial days.

Otherwise the event was fine (although the amount of scraps for the costume probably could have been lowered since that seemed like a pain point for many). I really liked the new rewards this year.

Can we get a summary of that list? I'm curious how our feedback is interpreted. Ultimately, the feedback for the last few events hasn't been actioned in the way requested by many in the community. Additionally, I had some outstanding questions here that I'm hoping can actually be responded to. I totally appreciate that feedbacks gets organized and sent back, but direct questions should get answered too, you know?

I like the jesters festival very much and I'm always happy when it returns every year. The quests are not too grindy and it doesn't feel like a chore getting your tickets every day. Plus double experience is always nice to level a new character. And you discover that that dragonknight you made many years ago but never used is actually fun to play ;)

But I agree, the drop rate for the main collectable was way too low. Which is a shame, because the costume is really nice and different. And I think a lot of good work went into making it.

But many people didn't get a chance to unlock it, because they don't have millions of gold to spend on scraps from the market and buy it from other people who don't care about not getting it themselves. I played 2 accounts every day and still had to buy 4 scraps from the market to get if for my main account at least. Very frustrating.

I have no motivation to buy tickets from the crown store and scarcity won't change that. Only gifting promotions might do

I've been doing festival quests every day, but didn't get enough for the costume. It's a bummer that they weren't guaranteed drops (and even then I would have to buy the last piece with tickets). In my opinion, doing event quests every day should guarantee the rewards.
I'm not complaining too much, though. This costume is not my cup of tea anyway, so I sold the scraps and I got some extra gold to spend on motifs. :)
On the other hand, I really liked the quest about daedric band. It was a fun addition, and I'm hoping to see more event quests (drunken echatere racing, anyone? ;) )

I liked the band side quest, too. It allowed me to skip the jester Pig Stealing quest, which I used to like but not so much anymore. They need to switch things up because the route to avoid getting caught is easy to follow, the risk is zero, and there are never any surprises.

While I am on the topic, the Auridon quest of throwing flower petals on people needs to get randomized so it is not always the same people, standing in the same place, in the same town. It is a quick quest, but it would be nice to get away from the Aldmeri College and Skywatch. Skywatch has mudballs, and I think that is good enough.

@ZOS_Kevin - I have a question for your feedback team. Why is there no bag of previous items for the Jester's Festival like there is for other annual events, like the Witches Festival, the Anniversary Jubilee, etc.?

That would've solved a lot of FOMO concerns. Even if people couldn't get it this year, they would know they'd have a chance of finishing it out next year for two tickets per part, if they'd been keeping up on other Jester's collectibles.

Also, please make the Jester's Festival longer, or have it drop more tickets per day (although that might run into issues with the ticket cap), because they bring out too many good things every year for us to get them all within the limited amount of tickets available.

And I must complain again about the unfairness of the new reset times. It was very difficult for my household and myself to get our last partial-day tickets between 6am and 10am. Three of us usually stayed up until 2am, but staying up until 6 is too much. Getting up at 9 is hard. Two of us did it - the third didn't, and lost his tickets. The fourth has always gotten his in the morning, so no problem for him.

Many of our guildies are West Coast, and just gave up, because their four-hour window is 3am-7am. FOUR HOURS IS TOO SHORT.

Please change start/end times to match the new resets so it's fair between servers again. Thank you.
