Should ESO+ include removal of item cap?

Pretty much the title, should ESO+ benefits be reworked to include the removal of inventory capacity limits for player bank? Existing ESO+ capacity limits could be granted to non-subscribers at the same time.

What? No. You can't have people with better gear than other people then it's Pay 2 Win and that would be terrible. I think they should add in more perks. Like a Furnishing bag like the crafting mat bag. I shouldn't be using 3 Notable houses that are full with furnishing items I may want to use later. Yes I could probably eliminate half as they are terrible items and I'll never use them, but it's still true that I shouldn't need multiple large homes as storage containers.

It would not be P2W at all. Having tons of gear does not help in PVP, and players would have to access bank to get the gear out, and be out of combat to equip it... Your argument is invalid.

Good grief, no. Some people hoard way to much junk. It wouldn't just break the servers, it'd break the internets itself.

A bag for surveys and maps like a craft bag would be nice, though.

We already have space saving options, I call it the "DELETE THE WORTHLESS ONES AND DO THE VALUABLE ONES" option

Mother of god this triggers me soo much. I understand... and yet I can't help but hate this

Umm. no. ESO+ already gets a nice crafting bag and double bank space. Part of the reason for limits is server load since the larger the query, the larger the load. Bottomless everything is a little much.

Fallout 76 kept using this same excuse and then kept increasing the stash limit several times in a row from 200 at Beta to 1200 last I played and then added in player vending so I'm skeptical when any player claims it will kill the servers; unless we work for ZoS we simply don't know if the inventory increase would in fact bork the servers. That being said one thing we do know with certainty is that ZoS never misses an opportunity to create a problem and then sell us the solution to that intentionally created problem in the Crown Store for a premium price tag.

One thing that could potentially help mitigate any issues is to move accounts that haven't been accesses in 30-60 days to cold storage like they did during the server sharding to offload some of the database. I don't see an unlimited bank in the future but I could see increases in the upper bank storage limit, but even that is unlikely since ESO feels like it's in maintenance mode right now. I would definitely welcome a bank increase since my bank slots is at max and my space is 90% full with various situational raiding sets.

You are noting FO76 changed the limit vs removing the limit completely. OP is asking for unlimited storage with ESO+ which is a notable difference with what FO76 did unrelated to this discussion and my comment.

Also, FO76 merely determined that the game could handle the larger queries of larger storage. With the performance issues we have in ESO, one that has lead Zenimax to start the major project to rework the game code server side, it is clear such changes would negatively impact the game's performance at this time. Again, a notable difference than FO76.

@Nestor has a more likely suggestion of offline storage. I expect they are speaking to the chests we have in our home which are not connected to each other or any other storage.

    To clarify:
There will always be a limit of some sort within the code, and I understand the impossibility of truly infinite storage. However, the hard coded limit should be an arbitrary number that players should not have to worry about it.

I should not have to go clear inventory to accept a quest. I should not have to play inventory management simulator every time ZOS throws us a celebration event. I should not have to wait for group members to sell off junk so they can loot a boss before moving on to the next encounter. Basic gameplay should not be hindered by shoddy game code implementation and design limitations.

    @misfitmanic

Have you played an MMORPG that had such an unlimited inventory system besides the crafting bag we have here?

I think infinite inventory is a band-aid solution that doesn't treat the underlying issues. As others have said, I think it just encourages hording and laziness too.

Maybe I could see a "furnishing bag" for ESO+ members... maybe

I would rather see ZOS implement more refined inventory management solutions. Such as: stacking siege weapons, removing treasure map "unique" status, stacking glyphs, allow armory assistant to hold your builds, allow companions to hold their items, make antiquity furnishings "Collectible Furnishings" rather then items.

I covered some of these ideas here: Inventory management quality of life suggestions

You raise the gear score of items for people paying and it's pay 2 win, by definition.
