Should the combat changes for U35 be rolled back?

Add sth unique to underplayed classes, so they become relevant in trial groups but for the sake of god scrap all the bad combat changes.
I hate heavy attack rotations and I really would hate to weave medium attacks.
Roll everything back. Nobody wants this crap.

I'd be so happy if they do that, but at this point it would be too good to be true.
@MorvanClaude on PC/NA, don't try to trap me with lore subjects, it will work

I mean, the current live server is a mess as well. I don't have any hopes for this game anymore. It's been going downhill since a few years now and the dev team treats the community like an enemy.

They constantly talk about lowering the skill ceiling which is extremely low already compared to every other MMO. Open world difficulty is a complete joke, vet dungeons can be soloed, ressources aren't relevant, CC isn't relevant, cooldowns don't exist, you can panic roll/block your way out of most situations and animation canceling is an easy mechanic which is used as an excuse by people who refuse to improve at all.

People remember challenging boss fights like Maliketh or Malenia and not Molag Bal who gets vaporized in 3 seconds. And don't get me started about how bad PvP is with the performance issues, terrible balance, crosshealing and oakensh** ring.
I used to think that PvP was a tragedy, but now I realize, it's a comedy.

However, it really feels like they only care about their vision of the game.

What vision? Where have they communicated to the player base an actual vision? I haven't seen it. If I missed it, please point it out to me because these changes seem like they are careening in one direction and then the next.

An actual vision statement, or even a road map, would at least give us some idea of what they are trying to work towards.

The changes have to be delayed and the devs know it, despite a lot of players saying it'll never happen. The truth is the devs can do whatever they want. Including seeing sense and putting the combat and content changes on hold for further testing. Then aim to introduce a more finished version for Update 36. Everyone would be happy.
The only other alternative is to treat every single player in the game as a guinea pig not just for the combat changes that all testing shows to be unfinished, but also balancing changes to every single dungeon and trial in the game, changes that there simply is not time to test and reevaluate. If they are seeing players leave now, it's nothing like what would happen if this level of broken reaches live.

The odds are stacked significantly against the player that wants them to delay. There is no indication that ZOS thinks these changes need to be reversed. Indications are opposite, actually. They appear committed.

Always keep in mind that new players don't care about combat of the past, and this game is apparently a revolving door of players. They seem to feel that there is an endless supply of new players, and that is the basis for their published metric for this game. If they *** off a group of old players, new ones will just line up to take their place. Rinse and repeat.

Given the mess the current PTS is and how little time is left to test the rest I think they should just call it on these changes.

There are many reasons they might push everything to live on 22 August anyway. But it there is simply no way they do not know , deep down at least, that 2 weeks is insufficient time to properly re-balance every single dungeon and trial in the game.

If ZOS truly wants to close the gap they should focus on nerfing/reworking these debuff/buff sets to make them more accessible to average groups, not reworking core combat 8 years into the game.

Buffs and debuffs are not the issue. Put them all together and they do not begin to bring a 20 DPS player to even an average DPS level. The problem is the ability to put together such a bad build and the frequency it occurs.

A guild mate in a social guild used my DPS dummy to test a new build. They pulled 25k. I asked if they wanted to talk to a friend in another guild who plays the same class to improve their build. They declined and indicated they were pleased with the 25k DPS.

That is where the real problem lies.

There is nothing wrong with the ability to make mistakes because this is also how we are allowed to have a game with such build and playstyle diversity.

However I do agree that the average player needs to be humble enough to be self-critical and have the ability to learn new things.

Agree, considering how a majority of these fights rely on health percentages and changing that may screw up fights and unforeseen bugs and soft locks that could appear in dungeons.

Several examples I can point out is White Gold Tower final boss where the final boss just could not get killed, another is Lair of Maarselok where the Hive boss cannot be targeted and thus cannot be killed. And the changes they made did not even directly change these bosses but they bugged out anyways. Imagine all the bugs spawning from these changes, it will be a nightmare and two weeks won't be enough to fix it.

Though I like a lot of indications for PvP from this patch, right now it's just utter chaos with a meta I do not really think I'd like to play. So yea, the chaos that is those changes should not yet go live.

I don't even care if any of the changes are good or bad at this point. Everyone I know has quit or is planning to quit because of this patch. Everyone is done. So I think I full reversal or significant delay in patch release is the only way to show those folks they have been heard. I have no desire to be playing in end game by myself.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

Frankly, I think they should roll back to last year. U34 and U33 were both bad.
