Regular events are ones that we all know happen every year. As in Event ticket events. We as players should really know in advance when events are going to hit, and a well in advance. Often we know events are coming due to PTS testing and past years, but not knowing the exact start dates and duration is very very frustrating.
A good example of this: The 2022 Jester's Festival is supposed to be sometime in Q1, which ends in 11 days. We should have had an announcement by now as to when it is.... and we have heard nothing. So when is it? How many days is it going to last? will I even have time to get enough tickets to finish a thing with tickets?
Anniversary Jubilee Event is supposed to happen sometime.... and we have nothing on that one either.
Events are fine and great. but we need some notice. Events often serve as an interruption to normal gameplay, some activities are just simply harder to do while they are going on. having notice allows us to plan accordingly.
what would i consider a sufficient notice? No less than two weeks (a month preferably) for all events that involve event tickets. I remember one year ZOS announced all of the ticket events for the end of the year at the start of November. More of that would be nice. For popup surprise events. give us at least 24 hours notice.

It's not a guess - it's a FOMO-inducing fact.Eric_Prince wrote: »My guess it's ZOS plan all along. To keep us in suspense. Force us to check news every day, log in every day, to be afraid of losing goodies. Just like they do with their favorite crown store. If we had event calendar, we could actually predict how many tickets we can have and make plans. Which would illuminate all that fear of losing profit.

For “events” like this (double nodes, gold and XP) sure, I’m content with it being a surprise.
For bigger “events” (like all the themed celebration events) I am in agreement with many others, I would really love for there to be an “official” schedule or calendar.
But I went ahead and voted “no” and decided to take the time to explain.
While I’m on console and haven’t been affected yet by the recent update like PC players have, I can’t help but be in agreement with those who find the timing of this “surprise” event highly suspicious.
As well as very inconsiderate of the players who do not have the ability to benefit from the “surprise” double nodes, gold and XP, because they are being negatively impacted by the recent update.
As others have pointed out, an official schedule or calendar would be a way for a company to show respect for their customers.
And I add my vote for an official schedule or calendar.
(And yes, I'm reasonable enough to recognized that schedules and calendars are subject to change. But I believe they should still be done and announced with the appropriate changes also announced in timely manners. It's the professional thing to do.)

As for this event, I don't mind a mini event, actually, an in game event board showing the time or things that are happening around the zone, oh, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.
