Extended maintenance Again ?

I hope y'all are ready and calm enough when they declare it will be a day or two. I'd rather it be offline and being fixed, than online and full of bugs... that said - tech debt is a thing that will catch up with ya eventually.

Yep, the fact we have no patch notes yet is pretty telling. Part of me wonders if ZOS may extend it one more time then slowly open back up, as 1am UTC / 2am UK/ 9pm EDT is likely to be one of the quieter times for the server, especially if they open up the EU server first.

I'm wondering if they are able to correct the "severe hitching" but it is causing other problems to show up. Bummer.

That could very well be the problem. I also wonder if they found something last week, and after spending a few hours working on it they thought it would hold until the next incremental (big) patch, but today's was just too much for it.

Maybe this is an indication that the current servers have major cracks, rather than simply not being good enough?

It’s not just the servers though the way the code has been written also has major cracks

It maybe more than a patch, it wouldn't surprise me if we have to download the game again.

As a side note, I'd suggest everyone keeps there consoles on tonight in case we have to download / redownload anything 😉

It's rare that I can claim a full month's worth of daily rewards. Because anytime there is a patch it takes a very long time for it to download.

For the love of god, it's time to just revert everything to how it was before maintenance. Push another client update that reverts us to the working v2.14 software, put the servers back to how they were and get them back online. Take your time, fix this properly and reattempt the update in a week's time, or two weeks, or whenever you've sorted out with Sony what the problem is. When you've got a problem as messed up as this clearly is, continuing to try to fix it on the hoof is not a good idea.

Mine took 3 hours and it was only 1gb. It finished downloading just in time for the 6pm extension to be announced LOL

I spend too much $$$ every single month on crowns to not be able to get basic daily rewards and basic logins for event rewards/double xp.

I wonder if MicroZoS will male it up to us by EXTENDING the event for PS4(5)....

I'd agree with this. Poor Gina is probably trying to work out the best way to break bad news to all the outraged peeps on here. I get why people are mad, heck - I'm normally leading the charge with my golden pitchfork... but today ain't something they dreamed of happening... we can save all our "we told you so's" for another time... let's just let 'em focus right now

I don't think anyone's accusing them of planning this, but it's been badly mismanaged - one post with a brief explanation and a (broken) promise to keep us updated really isn't good enough. Honestly by this point they should at least be telling us they'll add a day on to the event or something.
