ESO don't need a new class. I would love to see a new weapon / guild / anything
    I'm a single character man.
    Stamblade. Khajiit. Mostly pvp.
    And...that's it.

It is comical, yet rather sad - that people actually think the engine and ancient infrastructure even CAN support a new class. #feelsbad

I would love a new class, but what I would love even more is the ability to choose a sub-class from any of the existing classes. Players would then gain access to the sub-class' active abilities, but not the passives. The fact that players only have 12 ability slots (6 on each bar) would make this a form of horizontal progression, like the current CP system. It'd open up a whole new world of possibilities as far as builds go, and keep progression interesting for everybody.

I know there is little to no chance of something like this ever happening, but a guy can dream... :)

More than new class I want more love for existing ones - new skill lines or just new skills, third morphs (for more build options) or completely new, game changing mechanics - for example, class specialisations where you choose different passives sets and/or unique morphs for some skills. There are many possibilities to make current classes more diverse and enjoyable.

I don't understand the obsession some players have for a new class. It will only fuel the demand for class change tokens as a lot of players don't actually want to play another class or even another character, they just want their existing character to be more powerful than it is at present.

As for the favourite, battlemage, there are many ways of building such a class at present.

I can imagine monk, they already do have animations in Elsweyr Khajiit temples. Together with throwing knives/spears. And magic close weapons like spectres and rune daggers.

Do the opposite of what they do currently with classes and make a primarily stam class with few mag morphs.

I find it interesting to note that in the in-game build advisor, the beginner build is always magicka based for all classes.

I hope for something new and better than archeology and companions, but I'm sure new feature will only push ESO even farther away from original TES games in terms of gameplay and lore.

It's because the classes were originally designed (and still are in the lore) groupings of magical effects before the Schools of Magic were implemented by the Mages Guild. Rather than giving us Destruction or Restoration, they gave us yellow magical effects mixing elements of the two schools under the classification of "Templar magic". It wasn't until later in development that they started making some of the class abilities have a stamina cost, but didn't distinguish them from their magic counterparts. A "stam" class doesn't exist because one was never meant to.

Perhaps, they should have implemented the schools of magic as Mages Guild skill-lines and the weapon abilities as Fighters Guild skill-lines and had more skill-lines under the Legerdemain (for thieves). And then had classes with bonuses to different skill lines from those guild groupings, with perhaps one skill line of a few unique abilities to help further distinguish them. But that's just a what if.

This is a MMO people there are going to be more classes added to the game. Get used to it.

-Battlemage, seems a strong contender but they are a few more character arch’s they could add.

    -Bard/Minstrel
    -Engineer/Dwemer style
    -Beserker/Barbarian/Witchdoctor
    -anything they want

I do doubt we will see one soon tho, I will be surprised if we get one next year. New weapons would be ace!!

Star Wars: The Old Republic was in ten years has yet to add a single new class. They had races, because those are just skins, just appearance.

How would battlemage be different from sorc?

Sorcerers are usually summoners and dark arts users while Battlemages are more like trained magical fighters using elemental magic as a whole mixed with melee to fight on the battlegrounds... Basically, you would see Sorcerers more so at home, working from afar while a battlemages are fighting on the front lines.

I honestly see next class being a Battlemage, Shaman, or Bard. (Bard due to being highly requested though). Both Battlemage and Shaman classes would be pretty easy to make since a lot of elements for those classes are in the game (since a Shaman like class will have nature magic, totems, and shapeshifting... All which are present throughout the base game's quests) while Battlemages would be a lot more easier to make as they would be using a lot more elemental magic (more so than what the Destruction skill line can do by far) but a lot of effects will be there for it.
