I've heard that the battlemage is the prime candidate.
Former sixth class of the game's beta.

How would battlemage be different from sorc? In TES the only difference between a battlemage and a sorcerer is that a battlemage uses weapons, while a sorcerer uses heavy armor. These differences are meaningless in ESO since class and weapons/armor are completely separate (and since hybrids, like a battlemage, are impossible with the current CP and stat-based damage scaling systems).
We already have the original intended 5th class (warden) and the most requested new class (necro), I'd rather see them add 1h and rune instead of a new class.

pretty sure sorcerers in Elder Scrolls lore were more of a typical mage focused person where instead of study they focused on practical learning of spells like mysticism, illusion, conjuration and enchanting and battle mages were frontline soldier mages who engaged in both melee and destruction spell combat in heavy armor with light training in restoration?
This is a MMO people there are going to be more classes added to the game. Get used to it.
-Battlemage, seems a strong contender but they are a few more character arch’s they could add.
-Bard/Minstrel
-Engineer/Dwemer style
-Beserker/Barbarian/Witchdoctor
-anything they want
I do doubt we will see one soon tho, I will be surprised if we get one next year. New weapons would be ace!!
No new class thank you, all they make is pay to win classes, if they could not do that and somehow make it fit in with the original classes sure would be fine, and please no delayed heavy hitting skill as part of spammable like blastbones and sub assault, make a class similair so templar and DK both mag and stam in melee range

as long as can cast invisibility and depends on stealth then im all for it and hope it happens.
Hello all, I love ESO and wanted to start a discussion on what you want the next new class to be? Since lately the formula (which is amazing by the way!) is every other expansion they release a new class! What other classes would you like to see in the elder scrolls online next year in 2021? Me personally I would want to see a conjurer that uses a lot of daedra summons to deal dps heal and e.c.t like a pet based class! That would be awesome! Let me know down below on what you want to see!

I would also not be in favor of a hypothetical Battlemage class getting the monopoly on the one-hand-and-spell playstyle and would much prefer to see that introduced as its own new weapon type or otherwise implemented so that all classes can use it. Battlemage is also, as others have said, a bit blurry thematically with several other classes.
Just as the current classes are each amalgamations of several Morrowind classes, I think that you could make a compelling class out of a Bard-Monk-Pilgrim synthesis. Translated to how ZOS creates their DLC classes, you could divide them thusly:
- Bard - Healing and buff/debuff skill tree (with more of an emphasis placed on buffs/debuffs and abilities themed as songs and instrumentation)
- Pilgrim - Tanking skill tree (abilities themed as 'devotions' to various Elder Scrolls deities , both virtuous and vile)
- Monk - Damage skill tree (themed as the classic unarmed, ascetic brawler)
It still leaves the challenge of actually naming the class (maybe just go with 'Pilgrim' since it has the most thematic overlap with the others) but I, for one, would love to play this!
