I'd guess we've being teased some class themes already through the content like always and probably they might follow standard tes classes, so if I'll take a guess it would be one of those: alchemist(was called a healer?), bard, enchanter(was called witchhunter?), maybe even some kind of a glenmoril witch with shapeshifting theme.
Also as people were always suggesting one hand & magicka there might be a need in battlemage/spellsword type which i would also prefer.

Most of those classes are already exist as npc's in the world to blend.

if anything i hope a class related to dwemer lore is ever created. for example dwemer engineer, i remember there was a quest helping an engineer perfect his dwemer construct.
and no i do not know the lores. for what i remember perfecting a contruct is a very hard process. but the class doesnt have to be about having dwemer pets? it could use dwemer materials to conjure armors or reinforce weapons.
also in skyrim, not sure in eso, the dwemers are known for sneaky traps. it could be a thing to have a class with trap specialty.
ive seen some replies liking the bard idea. but imo i think that class would end up being a class in Lotr. and from what ive seen zos doesnt like imitating other mmorpg contents. also it feels silly to 'heal' people with their music. plus from what i know many bards in tamriel loves to go on an adventure but not go into combat or war. thats why many end up in taverns becaude they are scared of the risks.
but hope there isnt a new class anytime soon.

Bard would not work as a class in Elder Scrolls.

All bards are in ES are peeps that can play instruments. They aren't a "class" or even meant for combat.

With the addition of the outfit and the personality you can already be a bard to the fullest extent of ES lore.

    @idk Oh, I'm definitely aware.

Battlemage is one of the original classes from Morrowind where the canon of modern TES games was laid down.

I meant that I would not want to see the sword-and-spell playstyle restricted to only a single class, as I am sure that there are plenty of players with existing characters who would love to have it as an option.

As for the blurring of class lines with a Battlemage, it is simply a very "in the weeds" type of discussion to hash out the various lore and granular statistical distinctions between Sorcerer, Battlemage, Spellsword, and to a lesser extent the Crusader and Knight. Most players would end up confused given the amount of general overlap, especially in a system like ESO that has already abstracted away most of the classical Elder Scrolls skill lines and stats, leaving us with only class skills and flavor text as tools from which to construct the classes.

So in archetypal terms, the lines between Sorcerer, Battlemage, and Spellsword are relatively indistinct and are mostly gathered into the ESO Sorcerer class amalgam. Whereas Bard, Pilgrim, Monk each have blurred lines with each other but are easily identified as an entirely new class amalgam when contrasted with the existing class amalgams.

For all the peeps begging for a new class... just think how badly the 4 base classes will be nerfed, basically obliterated, whereas wardens and necros will dodge all bullets. As if base classes aren't already being nerfed enough. Please stop asking for new classes. What this game needs is back-end work and rework of some core mechanics and bugs, not addition of new content that will overturn any balance.

i agree with the nerf part because in order to balance out each existing classes with the new class some classes are bound to get nerfed.

but in many games new major contents like new class update needs to be added to prevent the end game players from quitting the game. new class will give more opportunity for new players as well as giving something to try and play around for existing vet players.
i just wish they do this new class thing as a last resort because i prefer ZOS working on new interesting dungeons and trial and new mechanics.

    Battlemage would be cool.

    From UESP:
During the beta, the Battlemage was planned to be the sixth player class. Along with the Warden, it was scrapped at launch in favor of the four standard classes, though the Warden class later returned to the game in Update 14. Some remnants of the class still exist within the files, including icons and a few errant strings. Destruction, Two-Handed, Alteration, and Mysticism were skill lines associated with the class, back when the familiar schools of magic were still used in the game.

I wouldn't mind a new class honestly but would prefer more magicka weapon lines like Conjuration staff, alteration staff etc. Do note though, if they come out with a new class just go ahead and make a stam version of it... it's sure to be stronger than magicka version for about 2 years.

I'd like to see a Craft Master. A character who can be taught all the gear, recipes, designs, etc., that all my other characters have learned, thus taking over all the crafting needs for my account, and freeing up skill points for my mains.

The Craft Master's skills would start at 10, and they would then have to work up the individual crafting skills, and continue to do research and learn new items on their own. So the mains would hold onto these skills until the Craft Master was ready to completely take over.

The Craft Master would also have some basic PvE skills to fight off mobs while gathering materials. Although the mains could still gather and help supply the Craft Master.

I know people like their classes....but before ESO there was no such thing in the elder scrolls universe...it was just individual skill lines you could mix and match as you saw fit. I don't understand why people are so concerned about class identity to begin with. A better system is to get rid of the classes entirely and just choose 3 different skill lines that are currently class restricted....say Ardent Flame, Animal Companions, and....Dark Magic as an example. Once you choose 3, all the other base class skill lines are locked out, you could pick and choose whatever ones you wanted to build as you saw fit. Yes, I know there would be some "BIS" DPS build based on this, that and the other skill line...but how is that any different than what we have? No matter how you look at it, something is ALWAYS "BIS"...let the leaderboard pushing groups build their BIS builds like they always do....splitting the skill lines off though would allow much greater freedom for the rest of us who play the game as we want regardless. Want to build a toon that can actually take full advantage of the elemental succession set? Its possible by choosing Ardent Flame, Storm Calling, and Winter's Embrace....BIS? Probably not....but certainly fun.

If you wanted to retain class identity, you could revisit the passives on each line so they play off the other original class lines to a greater degree than they do now....this way, if you chose to "de-class" you would lose a lot of the passives that would otherwise be available.

I apologize in advance for my english. I'll use a translator.
So I understand perfectly well that ZOS doesn't care about my opinion, and many players will disagree with me. But this is my and not only my opinion.

To be honest, I would love to see a Warior class in ESO.
A class about which I could say, "Yes, this is a warrior" only after reading the description, watching the video tutorial, or using the first skill.
That 6 years ago, that now I do not see any class that would be like this.

You can say that any class can be warior, just use stamina, but:
Dragon Knight - Mage using poisonous breath, body thorns and other fire magic and Warrior.
Templar - Warrior of Light, aka Paladin.
    Sorcerer - Mage + Warrior
Nightblade - Warrior of shadows, stealth he is a rogue. And even in the single-player series, he was ranked among the magicians.
Necromancer - He is a necromancer in any case, even if using stamina
Warden - A kind of druid using the power of nature.

You can say "Do not use class skills, only use weapon skills", but then the character will not fully reveal himself, and in the end you still have to use class skills.

If you think about it, the same applies to other "classes". Archer, Knight, Barbarian, etc.

So where is the Warrior class in ESO? I got tired of people in one Discrod channel with such a question, I never found an answer, but I got to know a very interesting interlocutor. Continuing the conversation already in PM, this person put forward a very interesting concept of the class.

    Weapon master.
A class based concept which enhances weapon branches.
The class itself has 3 branches.
    Damage
    Protection
    Support

    DW + Damage = Warior
    2H + Damage = Barbarian
    Bow + Damage = Archer
Staff of Destruction + Damage = Mage
    Shield + Defense = Knight
Restoration Staff + Support = Healer

P.S Such a class would be very interesting to me and not only to me, and even if it would be very difficult, but it would give an answer to the eternal question.
I made a mistake in the topic and will duplicate here

I’ve said in the other thread that there will be no new class for the foreseeable future until the current ones are reasonably fixed and balanced.

With that said I believe the only class left from the original ones is “The Battlemage” which those who run Cyrodiil are familiar with.

If its battlemage, I think they should do something unique with the class like letting them wield a destro staff like a shield and a one handed weapon in the main hand, letting the elements of the staff imbue special powers to the melee weapon. That'd be sweet.

That said I think that the most unique class they can add are either bard or monk.

I’d like to see a hand to hand combat monk. Kind of like that one world boss in Southern Elsweyr. Maybe the class could also use weapons like a spade or chakram.

Bards cannot work as a class in elder scrolls online.

As their magic is already covered in various other classes. You can already be a bard by equipping one of the many instruments, even more so once the personality gets added

I thought they said they weren’t going to add another class for the next expansion.

I’m not holding my breath for anything special, as I have very little faith in the current team.

I’d prefer it if they fixed the ones that are currently in the game, but every change makes that seem like more and more of a pipe dream.

As we speculate new class, there are particular class we know aren't happening.
    1) Battlemage ain't happening because, technically, every class is a Battlemage.
    2) Spellsword ain't happening because, technically, every class in the game is a Spellsword.
    3) Ranger ain't happening because it's covered by Wardens.
    4) Thieves ain't happening because it's covered by Nightblades.
    5) Fighters aren't happening because technically every class is a Fighter.
    6) Magic-use ain't happening because technically every class is a Magic-user.
    7) Paladins aren't happening because it's covered by Templars.
    8) Clerics ain't happening because it's covered by Templars.
    9) Rouges ain't happening because it's covered by Nightblades.
    10) Pilgrims ain't happening because it's covered by every class.
    11) Witches ain't happening because their covered by Sorcerers and Necromancers.
    12) Warlocks ain't happening because it's covered by Sorcerers and Necromancers.
    13) Barbarians aren't happening because it's covered by Dragonsknights and Wardens.

For sure it will be again a "p2w" class. Maybe after warden and necro got all buffs, which DKs and Templar had before, the next class get all buffs from sorc or nightblade...

I really dont agree why "older" classes get a hard nerf, when a new is coming...
