Indrik's of ESO (and the Fantabulous Overdose of Too Much Indrik mount's)

Hello there! I'm making this poll because i have some concern's about the Indriks. The title might be a bit lame, i know, but the thing is. the main reason why i made this poll, because lets just say. there are too many indrik mounts now. When first time they were added. They were unique. Everybody wanted them. i collected all. i was so furious about the best ones were the third and the fourth. Back then there were FOUR indrik. (you could quote the avatar line) Later they have added a fifth, then a sixth... and now even a seventh.
Now we are here with countless indrik versions. The whole idea was supposed to be one unique mount type each year. So Summerset with indriks, Elsweyr with X. and now Skyrim with Y.
So. considering all this. My question is. Do we really need so much Indrik? or we should get another types of mounts? Something unique? Or enough with it?

Yes they're no longer unique or particularly desirable (imo). Leave the old berries and feathers with the event vendor so that newer players can get one, but add something else for those of us with Indrik fatigue, please. Although I don't want to whine too much, because they are something that's earnable in-game which is a rarity these days.

They are booooring and too similar. Only thing that changes is colour (except the ghost one). Add some real frost, or leaves, or flames, or clouds of darkness - and they will be cool, but as is they are pretty meh.

I don't even care for them anymore. After my first 2 I stopped caring. It's just a cheap way to keep certain players entertained. I don't even care for tickets or events anymore. ZoS is milking this for all its worth.

ZoS how about replacing some of those Indriks with some of those Clown Crate mounts you love teasing us with so much.

I would like to see some mount for the dudes playing eso next, the dudettes got more than plenty by now with this Indrik spree.
And yes it really got old by now.

Answering your question, I think we got too many Indrik versions so far.
I was ok with 4 evolutions, which I think is more than enough.
After the "Indrink year" ZOS could have themed another type of mount for the next year, something related to the zone dlc release (Elsweyr). With Greymoor they should have changed again the mount type again according to the zone dlc.

I was ready to leave them behind but thought I'd get this last one, icebreath. Only its not so now after one more berry I'll be saying so long to these things. I'd rather have seen different kinds of mounts than just recolorings of the same over and over. I'm a horse guy myself. I'd be thrilled at different coloring of horses but even at this point I'd be done with horses. I literally groaned out loud when I saw another was coming.

I like the indriks, to the point where when they were first datamined and assumed to be crown store mounts I was prepared to buy one or two of them. I've gotten all of them so far and I'm aiming to finish the current one at least. But it is getting a bit repetitive and there's already a couple I don't use much (specifically the white and gold ones).

On the other hand I don't really enjoy being told to go and farm a specific part of the game on a set schedule to get rewards. I'd much, much rather ZOS did genuine events like other games do with unique quests and activities instead of just sticking some extra rewards on something that exists all year round, but since that's unlikely to happen (beyond the handful of quests we have for New Life and the 3 for the Jester's Festival) I'd actually prefer "events" with absolutely no rewards of any interest to me so I can ignore them entirely and go on playing as normal instead of being required to conform to ZOS's schedule for 1 mount.

On that basis ZOS sticking with indriks as rewards long after I've decided I've got enough and I'm bored with them could actually be good for me. It goes back to the early days of events where I'd read the announcement then forget about it and continue with what I enjoyed doing instead.

But that doesn't work at all for ZOS who clearly see events as a way to push players into different areas of the game, presumably hoping we'll enjoy it and keep doing the same dailies over and over when the event is finished.

I suppose that means I should vote for something else as a reward, since they have offered lots of other stuff for event tickets and so far none of it has interested me enough to get me to spend tickets on it, so that way ZOS can keep doing events and I can ignore them. But it seems dishonest to say I want other rewards on that basis.

What I'd really prefer is for ZOS to take the time to develop genuine events with their own unique quests and content like they started to do with New Life before abandoning it half finished for some reason, so the events are fun to play for their own sake and the rewards are a bonus. But as I said that seems highly unlikely to happen at this point.

I never liked the stupid Indrik to begin with and thought that this ridiculousness would only last a year. Now we're approaching the end of two freaking years with this stupid setup and I feel like it's never going to end.

I never even see people using the Indrik mount....

Well, initially I hoped Indriks were the thing for last year, and this year we'll get a new type of mount. Once I saw that they are going to use the same thing for this year as well, I stopped carring about event tickets at all - although last year I collectec all Indriks.

I loved first (unmorphed) Indrik, but others.... you may just put them in line in your house as monument to "time wasted for pointless grind in pursuit of free stuff".

They can keep the same Ticketing System if they want, just for the love of Akatosh, make it a different Mount.

In fact, if they made a new different mount each event, they would get more participants.

I have two evolved indrik's and that was enough for me...I have no desire to grind tix for these mounts anymore.

How about a cool skin or maybe even some housing next...

I love the concept of earning mounts via gameplay, but I have never gotten an Indrik mount myself. They simply aren't my thing. Too flashy and they get flashier every event. I'm just hoping they introduce new mount types at some point that I'd want to grind tickets for.

Indriks are cool. But I have more than enough now, so I haven't gone for the indriks this year. I've got a full collection of indrik feathers in case we get one themed along my characters' interests (like an atronach indrik or a clockwork indrik), but at this point I'd be much more interested in something like...

Yeah, the never-ending reskins have really gone a bit too far at this point.

Not sure if it is resentment for people complaining there were no in-game mounts to earn outside the cash shop, but Zenimax can definitely do better. It just requires the use of a dirty, hateful, sacrilegious word...

I have collected all available up to this date on PC EU and PC NA and intend to continue to do so. I simply love indriks, so absoluetly keep them coming ZOS (not that I would say no to something else of course if we didn't get an indrik for once, I would probably get my hands on that as well even if I have way too many mounts already)

I have them all as well, though the only one I actually use is the ghost. I personally can't stand the sound they make when you sprint.

I could get behind that. I would be sad if Indriks were completely gone but something else every now and then to keep variation would probably be seen as better by the community especially looking at this poll.

But there are so many more ways to skin an Indrik! A sparkly rainbow-colored starry-eyed My Little Indrik, and a black Darkforce Indrik with lasers shooting from its eyes, and an Emperor's New Indrik that is completely invisible, and a Dwemer Indricate Construct, and...

(Sorry, I got carried away there. As for myself, I stopped caring after the first two, but other people seem to like them still.)
