Trying to log in this afternoon will be so painful... I guess I'll have to wait until midnight or something, when players start quitting and the server is again playable. Ah well, 8 hours to go.

If you look at what ESO is superior to its competitors, this will be the duration of maintenance. Without a doubt.

It’s a global game

It's a global game, but they are local servers.

If they are located in the EU, the logical approach would be to do the EU server maintenance during EU downtime.

LoL, it's not just a feeling when the results are so consistent ;-). Why not use all that money we blow on this game to get more servers? That way they could have a few servers running during maintenance and swap back to their main servers when maintenance is complete. Where is all this money going if it's not being used to improve the game?

All extra revenue generated by the game ends up in shareholders wallets. They won't ever use any money in updating the game. The objective is earn a lot with almost zero spending.

In times like this i take some wet dog food and stuff it in a kong. Leave it in the freezer for a bit. As soon as the servers come back up it'll be fully frozen to give to your dog, keeping him busy for an hour (or in my staffy-case for 5 minutes ).

Funny - when he is entertained then so am I. I just like watching him doing silly things.

While I enjoy some of the ESO gameplay, and have been playing since launch so I am a little bit a victim of sunk cost fallacy, I can’t wait for New World to be open so I can forget about the absolute s&/£show of eso’s bugs, failures, and extended (server reboot!) maintenances.

Quite honestly, it’s embarrassing. It’s like playing a paid for beta constantly.

Glad I am not on the EU server, which seems lost. So when they say server maintenance, do they have the monkeys actually physically pull it apart and hope they can put it back together again?

Seeing the Z icon on a post is not an informative Zenimax post too me. I just know it's a moderator stifling a customers voice.

Ah yes, almost a month from the launch and we in EU still get rekt. Maybe, perhaps, possibly, ZOS should buy bigger servers for EU. They stated it's the busiest server sooooo... what gives?

I am sick and tired of wow. And usually go to ESO when I need a break. I like the game, for casual gaming its the best online game in my opinion. But I always keep returning to wow because of issue's like this. Mainly server lag 24/7. I come from amsterdam and even here there is ms of 100. Its ridiculous. These servers are papermade. Which is strange for a game that seems to do reasonable well with a sub + crownstore. I see everyone riding fat ass crown store stuff above subs. Meaning they earn more then wow game from blizzard I guess? ...

Anyway... dissepointing. I supose I would be more long term player if they would actually fix the lag. I don't mind extended server maintainces altho the times are cringe for EU players. What I do mind is even with 12 hours maintainces the lag is never fixed. Dunno what they are doing really.

i wonder if the reason they don't add to eu servers is: they don't want to waste money upgrading eu server because it's 6 years into a 10 year plan? why fix that if they only need to get through 4 more years? hmmm....

Why does this server behaviour look like what happens when they make changes and run into "unforeseen" problems? Because that's almost certainly what has happened.
