PC Maintenance Extended? Why?

While they really could keep maintenance at "off hours", while the fewest possible number of players would be offline - I really think we should not complain about extended maintenance. Perhaps it can help out a little bit with the other thing people complain about, the performance. It's far from guaranteed, not even likely, but if they are doing something, it's more likely it helps than if they are doing little or nothing.

The ESO clientele feels a little like an obnoxious partner sometimes, nothing you ever do is right. No matter how and when, it should have been done differently. Damn you if you do, damn you if you don't kind of stuff.

Because the maintenance skills of ZOS are lag, they can't fire the skill and still try to press a key so many times hoping it worked. They are investigating what happened.

You do realize that your "off hours" are many times prime time for us in the land down under? There simply is not a perfect time so most obvious choice is during their working hours...kinda makes sense.

Two theories;

1 ) No patch but they actually added/upgraded hardware servers, and they are having issues starting it up again.

2 ) Stadia coordination has made things trickier to do maintenance.

ZoS are not obligated to tell anyone 'why'.

They are obligated to inform their customers of the approximate duration. At the very least it's the proper and decent thing to do in any business circumstance.

By not communicating such a basic courtesy shows a lack of respect for us, their paying customers and loyal player base.

This one in particular feels very much in ZOS's wheelhouse: "change things that apply to, or benefit, a tiny proportion of players while making things less enjoyable for the majority" seems to very much have been the mantra for the competitive content triggered nerfs that have been foisted on us over the years.

You forgot the part where all the sycophants try to tell you the login problem is caused by Steam... even though it mysteriously only happens right after ZOS "maintenance". Like there's some sweaty dude at Valve just waiting for an ESO update so they can break it.

They were ready to start up the servers but then found they run out of Lag Juice. You can't have PvP without lag juice!

Also, while restarting the system, they discovered that the game now correctly synchs your position in the game, so the posDesynch101LoL patch was applied to buff AOE ball groups during mayhem.

Thirdly, they found that Volendrung was spawning for underdog factions instead of one that has Emp and all the keeps, so a VolenLoL404L2p patch had to be applied.

Of course, but speaking of the time of the location of the servers. I.e. European and American servers. There are no "down under" servers, so they will sort of have to stick to the time schedule of the server they use. I suppose they have to do it regarding when pledges/writs and weekly vendors do it. I mean, you usually don't call someone in Germany from Australia when they are by all likelihood asleep, you call them during their "prime time", not yours.

Rode bike like hell uphill in 26 degree heat, which is rough for us northerners, only to learn that maintenance is extended. I could’ve used a couple of hours in shade with a non-lag gaming experience, but...

Did we extend the ‘killing it’? Cause it feels like that right now
