With a patch with so many major changes and additions.

At the end of the day this patch does nothing that motivates me to play again.

Vampire changes still feel like a net negative for nightblades since everyone has access (they should, but the new abilities combined with everyone havsing access to invis combined with the natural consequence of everyone running detect pots is just bad for business)

The vampire changes in general feel like they were intended as a handout to nightblades that synergises with gankers but not all Nbs are gankers and now everyone has them.

Other than that vampire changes just feel. . . Underwhelming.

Looks like gear is getting nerfed all over the place.

The trial gear is thoroughly unimpressive unless your a heavy attack sorc. Now people will drag them along to every trial as a buff bot.

Eso really needs SOMETHING to get its older players excited again, and I for one dont think this patch is it.

I am quite surprised as well. No class changes and basically nothing that seems to turn around anything on the first look. Guess the game is perfectly balanced?

This has to be the first patch in history without class nerfs. I guess this is something to be happy about.
Nothing overly interesting in the patchnotes other than Trassian Stranglers and Malacath's Ring.

I like how Wheeler said that they will have pvp balance changes this patch.

Literally no class changes, and entire pvp section is like 1 sentence.

    What a *** sham.

Also VDSA destro wtf, miles better than any other arena weapon out there(for pvp).

Actually, maybe i need to look at it again but at a glance it looked like it could also be frontbar pve meta.

I thought they would at least make an effort. These patch notes are a joke. You nerf the most popular, and one of the most balanced monster sets in pvp without giving a viable replacement. You nerf impen, but leave sturdy the way it is. You ignore dots again. You nerf everyones healing by 10% which only really hurts solo/small scale players. Large groups with dedicated healers won't be effected in anyway. Performance better be perfect, and that be the selling point, because there isn't a thing here that would get me to play ESO another second. No one should buy this trash let them do their non combat mini-game treasure hunting by themselves.

I could clear everything in the new zone naked on a level 5 character. Overland quests in this game are a joke. This is a lore circle jerk money grab. Skyrim turd edition. You may as well go play the real Skyrim you'd have better performace.

So did anyone find in the patchnotes how much base critical resistence we are getting? I must have overlooked it.

Pve overland content is brain dead easy. Not really exploring and the stories in the game are such low quality.

Well yeah all thats well and good, but thats it. Thats the bare minimum. And there story telling lately has been kind of dry and zones content has been getting far less dense. At this point its just not enough.

And more than anything they were supposed to do class identity and balance passes and nightblade was supposed to be last in that order but we get nothing. I know it was technically already over and all we got was our abilities given away and nerfs. But i expected to get something in this patch of vampires which should be thematically and mechanically in favor of Nightblades and instead feel like my class has jus tg been made more irellivant.

Edit: heck i would have been happy if we at least got the siphoning line visuals updated with new blood related effects, at least that would have been something.

Same. Was looking for a reason to come back from warzone and I couldn’t be any less impressed. The obviously spent a ton of time on nerfing gear sets to increase the need to farm anything relevant and viable again and absolutely no class balance changes. Absolute joke honestly. Couple that with them expecting me to regrind vma and vdsa for gear I have already acquired from veteran content. Later, ZOS.

I saw no mention of a base crit resist? I did see they’re lowering the impen from gear to around like 175-180 though.

I do have to say, outside of just getting to check out the prettiness of the new zone, there is like nothing exciting to look forward to with this update for me.

Always good and bad in every patch we roll with and move on. But this one is just blah. Most of the changes are not great, the making us re-farm vMA and vDSA inexcusable. Kind of bummed I already pre-ordered Greymoor. Live and learn I guess.

    "blah"

There is nothing exciting yet there are changes in the game as a whole that are desperately needed.

Im not buying this chapter this time.

Im not unsubbing just yet but. . . Im getting there half my friends were already chased off and the last few in my group seem like theyve finally given up.

Yeah ... if you run heavy armor and a stam build in PvP. And if you want see true balance perfection you run a stamcro and watch all those other noobs finally succumb to your pure awesomeness and skill.

Yup, I must too say that Im very dissapointed. Mass nerf of most monster sets, new content (mythic 1 piece... meh?), 0 changes to (minor buffs?) stamsorc, nightblade. I support 60% less healing but combined that with less critic, nerf to def sets and overall vampires everythings heads to further support heal burst with ton of dmg, so typical glass cannon - something I despise badly. Also as you mentioned, people will spam detect potions, more aoe to match new vamp spam, so all NB gonna have tougher now.

If that goes live, Im stopping playing this month and forgot about Greymoor (dmg, dmg, dmg, dmg, dmg I cant look at this crap anymore).

There doesn't seem to be much here, but partially it is because we knew a lot already (vampire, werewolf, and weapon change info out there before today).

I wonder if also it is because the LA/HA changes were pulled. And thank goodness they were. I would rather light patch notes than have those changes be forced in badly.

However I don't like to see the nerfs to the monster sets along with nothing being added to help with sustain for magicka characters (unless I missed it) to adjust for Supernatural Recovery. Just seems like things will be a little less fun for certain builds and roles without much being added unless it makes sense to be a vampire or ww.

I will admit I kind of hoped for a token system for the arenas, a new recovery passive, maybe in Mages' Guild, some stuff for NB's... Oh well.

I do think some of the performance work sounds like it might be effective but of course we'll have to see.

Well, I downloaded the PTS, but after reading the patch notes, I see absolutely no reason to jump on the PTS and offer feedback

Instead we get more nerfs, a big middle finger to veteran vMA players, and a retreaded story line (Skyrim). At least those who can't complete vMA will now get to faceroll their way to the weapons most of us worked our butt off to obtain. And there's a new trial with vanilla gear.

This is reaction to patch notes, not the actual game. If art, design, combat will be awesome, real feedback will also be awesome. As for now everybody sees new potentially OP sets and mass nerfs to monster sets.

i was underwhelmed also. The antiquity system looks like a huge waste of time with nothing really worth it . the speed ring looks nice but i see nothign that would make me remove a monster set.

sure furnishings are nice but it will probably take 3 months to get one furnishing and 2 years to get the mount. for a new system for a chapter, it is without a doubt the worst new addition the game has every seen by the exponent of 10 crap.

chapter will be overpriced garbage. congrats zos, only you can make a chapter that pushes people away instead of bringing them back.

if you want to fix it, change the cost of the chapter to $10 because its all its worth.

Those things are fine but if you cannot play the game (Cyrodiil and apparently some trials) then the art and such does not really matter.

I gladly give the art department a pass (their work is always fantastic) but the combat team and programmers seem to be asleep at the switch.
