Thanks for posting! So for now, it makes sense to get the one motif, and then do other stuff. Does it look like the cooldown is 24 hours?

It seemed like that for the dragonguard motifs.

To this day, I have yet to actually see a dragonguard motif in spite of doing the dalies consistently. They NEVER drop for me...its weird.

I got the chest piece first box I opened for Shield of Senchal, but no others. Hoping this will reset tomorrow, or be fixed, as limiting the drops to 1 per day is pretty unpleasant, especially when duplicates are possible.

For now, I would continue farming and just save up all the boxes. Once it's been fixed, open all of them up. This isn't the first time ZOS has released a motif and it was capped at 1 motif per 24 hours. I'd like to think it's intentional, as it's easier for them to say it's a bug and fix it later on once they've received their Day 1 sales numbers, as opposed to coming right out and saying they have bad business ethics and are purposely trying to steal peoples money for a limited time before removing the cap, but Idk. ZOS typically fixes the 1 per day bugs in a timely manner, so expect it to be fixed whenever the next maintenance/hotfix is.

Yep. It does look like a shady monetization trick, and is quite in line with other stuff they did that could be a bug or bad design, but was suspiciously well resolvable with crown store (Murkmire event collectibles, for example)

Indeed. If this is intended, there should have been an info regarding this. It shouldn't be intended tho, limiting drops like this is just not cool in the slightest.

I think they will just keep ignoring this until they feel like they have sold enough crown store copies of the motif.

Upd, cooldown seems to be at daily quests reset time, got second one just now. It's not that bad to be full on motif in 14 days instead of couple of days, but if you wanted to grind quests to boost your sales (sigh) it's not that great indeed.

That's assuming you got a different one every day

That's assuming you got a different one every day

At least it's be something to trade with other people in chat/guilds. Or just sell and don't bother even until a fix/acknowledgment.

Got my second page at 10:00 UTC Thursday. It's was a duplicate

Seems like thats the same as with Sapiarch pages. I am doing delves on 10 characters so I am opening 10 boxes every day. Usually I get one page a day. Sometimes no pages. In extremely rare circumstances it is possible to get one page from boxes and another from chest or portal. I don't remember getting more than one pages from boxes.

Agree. I have been trying to help a friend farm her last sapiarch motif; it doesn't matter how many we do a day on how many characters, we each only get at most one sapiarch motif.

Thanks for the information! Yesterday I did one daily and got one motif. Today, rinse and repeat, and hope this trend continues. And trade/sell the duplicates each day. I'm not going to grind dailies for virtually no chance for a second motif per day.

...Still haven't gotten a single drop. Then again, I'm only doing 2 dailies a day, so not like I'm overburdening myself. I'll end up getting them eventually.

I'm wondering when the New Moon ones are coming though. Collections says that it'll drop from the supply chest, which means no work involved after you did enough of the dragonguard dailies. I bet those are gonna have a terrible drop rate to compensate for the whole 'just check it once a day but no quests involved anymore' thing.

I did 16 pages and got 2 but that was across 2 accounts so maybe there is a cooldown.

2 days in a row i have gotten motif drop in my first two quests, but nothing else. I ran 28 quests yesterday over various toons and only got one. not gonna open any more today. hope this gets fixed soon..

I honestly don't really care if it's limited to once a day. But just tell us, so that we're not wasting time.

On the other paw, the "max of one motif per day per account" is built in there, already, since that's how often you can open that chest.

I surveyed Dragonhold zone chat, one person answered that got 3 drops in the same account on the same day, using multiple characters and getting quest shares from other players. If true, maybe through quest share you can circumvent the daily cap.
