@EvilAutoTech did you... take the gold?

I imagine it'd be just as rude in real life.
Another time my female toon was out in the wilderness and talking to an NPC. A group of male toons came around and asked my toon wanted to join them to fight world bosses. I told them no thanks. But they hung around and started smashing AOEs.
You gotta wonder if this behavior is from their real life behavior.
"Sweetie" and "Dear" and things like that are endearing though and most of them time comes from female players when saying "sweetie" or both male and female players for dear when talking to newish friends or old friends. How X person grew up quite litterally matters when discussing the intent of others. It's also important to remember that not everyone uses todays "standards" of conversation set by whatevers mainstream at the time there are things that were said normally 20 years ago that aren't acceptable now to some people and many many different generations play video games especially MMOs so their interactions socially will differ.
I will say "Dear" to some of my female friends for example but only when I am about to ask them for some help in-game that they will probably say no to or something they can do to help me haha indicating i'd really appreciate their help.
