Cloak just does more than it should be doing. Suppression of DOT damage is entirely too strong which lets NBs get 2-3 seconds of uncontested heals (which is huge) while also letting them re-engage if they so choose.

Provided that the DOT functionality w/ cloak will remain in a permanently unbalanced state, the only thing that can be done is that the cloak provides an untargettable "fade-time" so it's much less jarring to deal with. The fade time should last as long as the 100% dodge window does.

Lol you just wanna be able to easily kill every magblade huh. Or do you expect every magblade to play like a bad version of a sorc... when they can just play sorc instead.

Interesting that they are the only class whom against we need to slot specific otherwise not good skills to have a chance to counter their invisiblity. Also cloaking is a very cheap mechanic to steal in PVE, other classes need to stack potions or be good at hide/maneuvering.

If you aren’t slotting skills to counter other players, what are you using your skill slots for?

It’s reading posts like these that make me think the people who have issues with NBs are pvers. PvE is about sacrificing everything to eek out more dps. PvP is completely different.

It’s like beginner pvp battlegrounds. No one even bothers to heal themselves or use defensive sets. If people are commenting on pvp and this is their approach to pvp, how can you take their opinions seriously?
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

I have "feel bad" moments when i get zerged down by 10+ players... cloak actually helps me prevent that. I have fewer "feel bad" moments on my nb than on my dk without cloak but i guess those 10+ people who want to zerg me down do have a "feel bad" moment when they miss out on that 50 ap for zerging me down.

It used to purge, if anyone remembers.

Good idea! Let’s bring that back. Suppressing dots is OP, we should have a cleanse instead to remove them entirely. That’s obviously the more balance idea. Better yet make it a hot aoe heal that snares and does damage in aoe.... oh wait.

NB's are the true hunters in the game.

The NB doesn't jump around like a gazelle on the savannah or make overt gestures like a cape buffalo.
Prey do jump about and make overt attention gathering motions to register to any camouflaged hunter, I'm too virile and strong for you to take or capture, so leave me alone.

You see the herbivore players all over the place jumping and snorting about, perfectly role playing the nature of the prey mindset necessary for survival and sur-thrival--although I highly doubt they do so knowingly

The label of prey is in no way an insult; it's simply a way of being.

The prey herbivores on the planet are very successful, they thrive and are very strong. Many a lion has left the savannah by the power of the zebra or buffalo as well as the cougar by the elk.

I say all this for us to step back and consider why these feelings keep coming up about the NB.

Prey is supposed to feel as prey feel if you chose a class that operates generally in that manner.

What do you expect a cougar to do, run growling and leaping through the forest fang and clawless?

The NB needs to get in and get its prey finished fast as its in no where near capable of resetting the fight as prey do.

Nerfing the NB is like defanging and declawing the leopard; you might as well just remove the class and everyone can jump jump boing boing and make all those loud prey like gestures.

    Cheers

    I'm not a developer..

I just remember when cloak was useless. Then it purged, then that was OP then. Now it surpresses dots.

    There's a cycle there..

I’m more making the point that suppressing dots is fine. People just like complaining about stupid things.

Complaining about suppressing dots when other classes can just remove them is ludicrous.

Some people are just entitled and want every class but their own to be free kills. The devs should just ignore them since they’ll continue to complain about will never be content.

I would be suprised if cloak passes a skill audit as it is now. I guess we will find out in about a week
