COOLEST / RARE Mount in the game?

Rarest is my whicker horse never seen anyone with it not even once. I've seen people with my radiant apex very rarely but never the whicker horse. My top 3 rarest mounts.
1 whicker horse
2 venomous wolf lizard
3 chiling senche lizard

2. Cursebound Sabercat Prowler
3. Kagouti
4. Goat
5. Durzog

I have that one. But like you, I've never seen anyone else riding it.
I doubt many people got it since it was a Crown-Gem Exclusive, and more expensive than previous Crown-Gem Exclusive mounts.

I am pretty sure that the rarest mount is Senche of Scarlet Regret. It only comes from Ouroboros Crates - as a radiant apex reward. So not only there is a very low % chance to get that mount, but also - you can not buy Ouroboros Crates. Those only come from watching twich streams...

2nd rare I would assume used to be Sunspire Champion Senche-Lion. But at this point I am not sure. I mean it is very hard to get - but you can get it umm.. reliably ? More or less. I would not be surprised if 2nd rare is some ugly radiant apex mount that no one wanted (cuz it is ugly), except for some people who liked it end were ultra lucky.

Anyway, for me personally, I like the "realistic" looking mounts. Flashy skins and wierd auras are kinda immersion breaking for me. Those imply that you are god-like or something. Meanwhile, ESO player characters are kind um.. weak (lore wise). I mean look at TES V Skyrim's protagonist - The Dragonborn. I mean he/she did not had any auras or flashy skin, but could singlehandedly kill multiple dragons with ease. Remember how many people it takes to kill 1 dragon in Elsweyr ? Yeah... Soloing a trial would be a pice of cake for The Dovakin...

The coolest summon/rearing up effect of all mounts ever is Planemeld Courser, raining huge meteors on demand! It is rivaled only by impressive lightning bolts of beautiful Storm Atronach Apex mounts, and somewhat by creepy tornado of not very attractive Cursebound Senche-raht. It's too bad that the horse model from New Moon crates itself doesn't look cool...

There are few of the rarest mounts, because their crate seasons were not popular and not many people even tried their luck for those. Radiant Apex mounts from Hollowjack crates are perfect example - I have never seen them actually used in the wild. I saw them only three times since they were introduced - all these times I had to ask a player to specially show me those mounts in action.

But there are also few of "almost never see them" mounts - simply because people don't use them even if they have them, for different reasons. For example, Durzog mount - I rarely use him (only when I want to hear the beautiful creepy howls) and I rarely see them used, even thought they were sold in normal store for ~3 months.

Whicker horse is very rare cause: it was limited time; it was very high priced and it is lacking effects and special sounds for such a price tag.
In my situation, it's like gem-exclusive Legion Zero Charger: I don't use it cause I have mounts with much better effects and special voices, while this horse has simple voice, very little trail and nothing special when rearing up. Basically, I have to dismount and mount up again if I want to see his very cool summoning rune effect It's annoying for me as owner, and it makes this mount seem more rare than it is - simply cause it's not used.

I use the loyalty tiger senche for my original (and still main) character. Nothing compares.

Though I'd get a stick mount - love to see a division of cavalry lined up on their sticks.

But what I'd really like is to skip around with someone behind me carrying my bags, clippity-clopping with two coconut shells:D

There was one. The loyalty tiger senche. I am proud I got it, even though it doesn't glow, or have firey footprints, or make the rider look headless. ZOS did officially say they'd never sell it, and unless they bring back the loyalty rewards, I don't believe anyone will get it in the future.

I went to check out the Planemeld Courser radiant apex mount that you mentioned, wow, its so sick in terms of both the summon and rearing up animation. I agree with you. it is probably the best animation so far out of all the mounts.

I know this is an old post but I love that the original posters last year loved the Shadow-Rider Senche. I was lucky enough to get this mount when I was newish and didn't understand what it meant and I've had a lot of comments cursing me for it lol. I guess I lose the right to complain about RNG ever

I'm the OP... It's still the only mount I ride on all characters.

I'd like a Planemeld Courser just to have a cool horse option, but with the shadow rider senche, I'm not too motivated to buy a million crates.

Even though there have been many of us paying for ESO Plus for years after the fact we still don't deserve it since the Mount was a loyalty reward from the early days.

I mean, I'm sorry for only finding out ESO existed after Tamriel Unlimited released. Still hurts since the Striped Senche would've matched perfectly with my Tiger Khajiit before I appearance changed her into a Snow Leopard.

What I love about this is he has a nice long tail. :-)
My Two Tigers... one looks like he was pulled through a muddy puddle and the other has no stripes and they both have STUBBY TAILS.... :-(
