COOLEST / RARE Mount in the game?

I haven't quit but there's something about the senche--I'm not sure whether it's the shape or the animation--that doesn't quite "fit" my mostly altmer characters. Anyway, most of my characters use the Imperial or now the sorrel horse, despite my having gotten a number of more exotic mounts from free crates, chapters, and other promotions. In general I prefer mounts that look like regular animals, not ones with lots of unnatural effects.

I was lucky to get all 3 radiant apex from scalecaller crates. The red senche is def my favorite.

I think @Kevduit is at ZOS this weekend to play, so I haven't been able to get a hold of him yet about my choice.

However, the picture next to the words "Win Choice of Any Mount (Any Platform)" is below, and it even shows the shadow rider senche, so I would hope that is eligible!

I have this and love it. I think it depends on what style of armour/dyes you like to use.

I kind of dislike mounts in this game because to my taste every mount is too large. If the stickhorse mount actually works as regular mount (and is not ridiculously huge size) I might consider one...

Though I consider my "Night Frost Atronach Steed" the rarest of all.
I rarely see it on PC EU.

It's not a striking mount, but I use the Lustrous Nix-Ox Fabricant.

I tell you, those six legs make for a smooth ride. Compared to a 4 legged mount, and especially 2 legged guar, a nix-ox has the best suspension. I bet a dwemer spider is the same but I don't have one of those.

My Ashlander character rides the Nix-Ox we got for free and I totally agree, smoothest ride! I find the 6 legs kind of mesmerizing to watch but I do know they freak some folks out (too spider-like)

I like my striped senche mount. Although, another rare one if the one my girlfriend has. It looks like an ice horse. I cant remember its name, but aside from her I have never seen another player run with it.

It's just the Frost Mare, "Snowhoof." I've got it, but I don't use it very often, because I have better looking mounts.

Too bad that decent looking mounts are really only obtainable through stupid rng crates. Or direct crowns. Why is there no cool looking mount obtainable via ingame means. Excluding the indrik. Mounts are purely cash. Which is stupid.

The Ice Wolf was given away for watching the E3 stream last year. There've been some other giveaways, though I'm drawing a blank right now. Of course, all four of the original horses are available in game, though they're not particularly flashy.

Mostly, the mounts are solidly under the header of, "cosmetic," so they only show up in the crown store and from special giveaways.

So, a lot of new mounts has been added after 2019, that's when this post was added. what do you guys think? what are the best looking and rarest mounts now up until this point ( Decenmber 2020), in terms of the sickest summon animation, and the animation when your mounts stand still and press E?

My absolute favorite is the Sanguivorian Howler. The wolf is beautiful, and the fact that it spawns a giant bat swarm and scary bat noises along with the smokey mist - it just intense.
