Is there anyway to get this old thing closed? People are thinking it is new and that this will happen again because they do not realize that the issues with today's event is same that happened when this thread was opened in 2018 ….

Rather you rewarded all those who actually have ESO+ than the ones that play completely for free, which I also understand them considering all the failures from your part on the latest events, the downtime and all the frustration from paying gamers that still have some hope for this game. the servers will be overwhelmed with all those who only play when the game is free and all zones available to them, this is a part of the problem as well and not only events where the activity finder is used but crashes. the infinite loading screens, the DC and so on are because the server gets overpopulated and you still aren't listening to the community. changing database protocol will not and has never helped an over populated server that can't handle the numbers. simple maths.

Will the New Life event be extended to compensate for the tickets we won't get from this event? I also assume some players managed to get their event tickets even today (good on them) so how will that be balanced out?

Good info, but easily could've been avoided if the activity finder was properly fixed to begin with. Prioritize fixing the existing broken game over adding more content that causes catastrophes like this one.

So you basically had this disaster coming to you. Do nothing about it and I can assure you this will repeat itself maybe even worse.

Nope. People can learn to check dates. On the other hand, ZOS needs to be reminded of their constant fails and broken promises.

Well, to be fair, the event this year did not require the group finder. It would certainly be more convenient to do with group finder but would have been just fine without. Obviously the EU server failing is a worse issue, but I don’t think it accurate to say they failed to do what was said last year (although certainly it is disheartening to know group finder problems have persisted for so long).

They thought they fixed it. It may be the same issues, but it's not the same LFG tool from last year because it's a totally different tool. They completely rebuilt it.

That post was from last year so I wouldn’t worry about that yet.

So.. this is a post from 2018 saying that the event didn't work as it should just like "last year" (2017). Problem was never solved and you brought it back again anyway in 2019.

The problem is that even when travelling there directly, you got to hope to not get stucked in a endless loading screen, which then kicks you out of the game, resulting in you unable to enter the game anymore.

I agree they should be reminded about that part

The Activity Finder was not required for the cancelled Undaunted event. They failed on logging in (at least for PC EU) this year.
