That's what they say that it's anew tool, I for sure haven't seen any notable difference.

And yet the instant it gets loaded it tanks an entire server farm, so either they lied about recoding... or the recoding was just as atrocious as previous coding.

@Saltisol and @Andreaa Oh yes, a failure to be sure, and a worse one, but people have been posting about the “event requiring group finder” part and this event did not require group finder. Semantics? Maybe. But I’m not the one who necroed a post from 2018 to call attention to this specific issue. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The way I see it is this, they had a year to work on this and cancelling the event for a second year in a row isn't particularly fair for those of us who run dungeon content and were looking forward to this. What's more I find it disturbing because the activity finder has been an issue for a very long time now anyway, and seems to get progressively worse. Where at one time I could get into queues instantly as a tank or healer, right now I can sometimes wait 20 minutes, or not have it go off at all, and I guess the problem is even worse for DPS still.

At any rate if they delay and fold this into "The New Life Festival" I don't think that will be sufficient as this is a second time situation, and as people pointed out being able to play now (when not much is going on) does not amount to being able to play during that later event regularly. As it was you were looking at what? 12 tickets over 4 days, at the previous rate you would have to play 12 days to get those tickets which would have been ones you were going to get anyway if you were going to play during that time.

What's more since they tried to run the event they unleashed some of the rewards into the community already, some people who had the fortune of being able to play in the few hours it was running scored +3 tickets putting them ahead, and what's more managed to obtain various patterns, which of course will not only be something you can obtain by paying a crazy premium if you wanted them....

Either Zenimax needs to find some way to run an event that runs 4 days and does not reward the people who operated within the window (at least to begin with), OR it needs to roll back the servers a few hours to remove all traces of the event, as there is no other way to restore the playing field. Either way it goes, a 4 day event should be run ASAP with awards comparable to what this was supposed to reward. I mean I don't much care if they make it a pie throwing contest or something stupid like that, but as I see it, it's the only way to be fair about any of this.

no it doesn't REQUIRE group finder, but a large majority of the people use group finder to get into dungeons, those people loading up in group finder causing more stress on the server (having to group players, creating instances), combined with all the people logging in for the event.

Group finder might not have been the main cause of these issues but i personally believe it still played a huge part in it.

EU has had the worst of the worst over the past few years.. they just refuse to fix whatever problems that plague the server farm. And if it was broken within 3 hours of EU and not even peak in EU I highly suspect NA was going to get fubarred during peak also.

Many of us on PC NA got the opportunity to earn more tickets with the extension of the Witches Event. It’s okay that some people might get three extra this time around so long as everyone gets an opportunity for tickets and the new motifs. Sure, now I wish I’d stayed up later last night to get three more tickets and a motif I could make bank on now, but no reason to begrudge the people who were able to put in time for rewards. It would be totally unfair to take away what they earned through no cheat and it is not their fault the EU PC server has failed. So long as the rest of us get a chance for these rewards, I think that will be plenty fair.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if the finder wasn't the problem at all but the actual number of players trying to use it all at the same time. Kind of how PvP is a mess during Prime Time. If that's the case then maybe ZOS needs to make a plea to the parent company to invest in some new servers.

EU has had the worst of the worst over the past few years.. they just refuse to fix whatever problems that plague the server farm. And if it was broken within 3 hours of EU and not even peak in EU I highly suspect NA was going to get fubarred during peak also.

And Zos said early this year they were working on improving server capacity yet here we are, still having issues with and without the GF.

No, people earned those and can try to sell them for whatever they wish. If people want to spend that much just in case the style pages aren’t available again for however long, that’s their choice. You can’t say this is taking advantage of new players who might not know the worth of things etc. as anyone who has enough to afford that clearly knows how things work. It’s their gold to spend how they choose.

And no, and I am not one who was able to play and get a style page to sell.
