As always zos is not adressing the real problem if players cant log in on the server it has nothing to do with the activity finder it is the god damn server that cant handle those events

I do agree that all threads over 5-6 months old should be automatically closed.

@Ciana_Rilian While I get the frustration, I didn't get anything from this since I logged on too late but this is spreading misinformation. I mean let's be honest whenever something bad happens ZOS usually compensates

Like all the unexpected server downtimes that we (me and other ESO+ players) get compensated?

Even NEXON ( a mmo company that gives milking its costumers a new meaning ) compensated us for server downtime, wether is was expected downtime or not.

I don't think they were lying. I think they thought that their activity finder overhaul - actualy worked.

Many people expressed their doubts that it would be a sub-par idea to launch an event contemporaneous with a new DLC - you did and it failed.
Many people expressed concerns that an event that involves the group finder will backfire - you launched this event it it literally exploded in you face.
So please, please,please if you intend to launch another event, avoid any synchrony with news DLCs, avoid anything that involves group finder or huge amounts of players ar a single place.
IMHO this event would have not failed if delve bosses would have dropped rewards.

Thanks for the swift update but I have some queries.

What about the 12 event tickets we will be losing out on?

Also I assume the Dragonhunt event will also be cancelled due to it involving the activity finder to access wrathstone dungeons so what about the 28 event tickets from that?

That's 40 tickets potentially missing or at least 12.

A reply would be much appreciated.

This necro-ing is really appropriate and timely

I haven't been able to enjoy any of the undaunted event yet. I missed the imperial horse. I missed the Frostbane pets. And now we're all missing on opal stuff except the few who could connect in the short time this event was alive. This event should be rethinked. The very concept of event, maybe, should be rethinked. Or just the servers should be improved.

How many more events do they need to do to realize that EU SERVER NEEDS A REAL UPDATE?! Yeah, you need to invest and SPEND MONEY on EU SERVER. Hotfixes don't work, your schedule of fixes is a joke as we could see... Please, UPGRADE YOUR DAMN SERVER!!! Stop lying to us and yourself. Nothing will work if you have a potato server. Perhaps it was cool years ago, but It's crystal clear that it doesn't work anymore nowadays.

I don't think they were lying, as far I can tell from what guildies said the NA server was just fine for this event. EU server is the one that is unstable and broke.

Quite honestly I was getting sick of events so this downtime is quite refreshing and some zones will even be less laggy due to all the people not logging in.

They must have known that it was very, very likely that the server wouldn't be able to handle the event so I'm surprised that they haven't already discussed the next step. I mean this it not a surprise to them after all these failed events.
