I just slapped on 5-1-1 light spinners, shacklebreaker, BS on my MagDK steed with 2 swift and started running the new whip that gets boosted damage up to 3 times of using other ardent flame abilities and its working out well. Have enough punch and 20k stam running tri-food on my nord for blocking. May take the other jewelry protective though and slap it on my templar for the more pressure AOE with those sets to see how it compares. Trying to get an aggressive playstyle going. Templar does not have the burst of the new whip or the range defense of the oh so nerfed wings, but I got a purge.

You have to use Total Dark or the magsorcs will blast the hell out of you. Its the only way to give yourself a fighting chance. Unfortunately, this will get you tea bagged a lot. I played about three matches last night, got tea bagged two times. Pretty nice ratio.

its the only way if you don't run high crit resists in conjunction with high resists. I have been having success surviving against some things running chudan/pirate with trans and 2x protective. till we get a proactive defense, this is as good as it will get.

The situation I was describing was a little more extreme even for that build, I think. I was facing a team of magsorcs and a team with about two or three of them. The team of full magsorcs would always focus fire on me as soon as I showed up. I felt like the Hulk in the first Avengers movie when a bunch of chitauri made it rain lasers on him. What gets me though is when the team not in the lead decides to join in trying to kill me instead of fighting the team in the lead. That Total Dark is such a troll but hey, it's not my fault that it's the only good class defense I have.

Dunno if change anything from NA to EU  I was thinking of Bright + Spinner and Chudan/Pirate with protective jeweles. I hate dropping Rattlecage because the extra slotbar is very good, but rRattle + Spinner = GG to my sustain.

honestly most abilities are lol. I tried timing force pulse and UC once; watched it all burst at the wrong times lol.

This game is utter trash in primetime :(

I have completely given up on CP campaign primetime. I am also biased cause I don't like CP pvp, but the lag difference is also incredible. I have no idea how people put up with that.

Well I can tell you I would like to play a campaign that works, but a lot of times if I look at the no CP or new-shor; its one faction running over the map. Every once in a while, its good but then you have people you play with and its hard to convince if you know it likely will be dead.

Thats part of the problem with the game, You need better pop in the off servers to get people to go, but you need people to go to get the pop. With how the population is, I'd split it down the middle and make all campaigns 15 days with rewards somewhere in the middle as well and have them display in random order to avoid just picking the first 1. Need to break the habit of there being a single 30 day CP and a single 30 day no CP that people just think of as the main server.

This: every time I step in another campain it's like one faction doing pvdoor and getting zerged asa you step out the warcamp.

Playing in the cp imperial city with imperial physique and bright throats/ blood spawn and 3 x protective. 5 light 32k hp gives you about a 4k radiant ward with good dmg.

Charge 3 ppl with casting purifying light on each one. Throw blazing and toppling charge in to get the exploiter damage boost. Cast barrage and cresent and spam ward. Awesome fun. Purifying light precast is essential for the heal.

I've done a tour of all my characters in Cyrodiil after not really liking my fresh necro so far. Definitely going to main magplar. I just like having solar barrage and crescent sweep up while alternating sweeps and radiant ward and if I switch to block cast ER and HTD, I still have some damage going. Started using the gold food as well with steed getting me up over 1k health recovery. RAT is awesome to have with along with temporal gaurd on my 1h shield bar to give a little extra damage reduction.

Im pretty happy with where magplar is at right now.

Currently doing the math on some defensive sets atm.

I think it's gap closers too. I can't reset many fights anymore and I'm getting blindsided by 2h combos like crazy. In just one update I went from okay or very good, to completely overwhelmed.

If you go with bright throat (like I did) do you have a viable alternative to spinner as 2nd set to score some decent damage? If I need to run healer/support I got a lot of options (transmutation begin the 1st to give my teamate a nice buff) but if I feel like to play offensive in the elder scroll tank online era I feel like spinner with infused destro (shock glyph or spell power glyph) it's my only option.

You can go spinner. Really depends on your build, of you aren't using a shield, I think you need more mitigation. But that my opinion.

I run bright throat with innate axiom (in no CP). There is also war maiden, but that set won't buff your class heals.

Auroran is a great set if you are going melee. Even has a bit of pen in there.

Imho, the trans/spc/earthgore combo is still king for support. It's great in bgs and very low maintenance, adds damage and defense and heals for your group and you don't even have to think about it just cast ritual once in a while.

When on offensive build I run spinner/bright with 3 protective jewels (I feel mandatory with the damage boost of other class) and full pirate or pirate/chudan to maximize mitigation. Work quite well but I miss my 3 swift jewels and steed mundus...but mitigation>>all with this meta.

im at 2x protective 1 arcane, chudan/pirate. its around 71.8692% total mitigation. If you compare it to crit without trans on a 3300 CR build, its TOTAL MIT: 71.872%. Now the percentage is just a number, showing heavily how "soft cappy" things in the game are really. Trans with the resist I mention above, has a dmg of 5499 versus 6443 without trans. 944 dmg saved, which could break you, but it might not.

Running trans with 3x arcane and only pirate/chudan is like 69.9765% TM versus 69.9773% TM of no-trans-crit. 5869 dmg versus 6877. It might be splitting hairs; ill continue to look at the set, especially in nCP.

I will look at buffer as well. Wizard reposte, and maybe steadfast. Sets that give you decent reliability on procs with some offensive bonus. Any defense that adds to offense, will be more rewarding, is my hypothesis and starting to show with trans; yes its only 900 dmg difference, but you get 803 crit + 258 MR which boost your offense/sustain. Buffer and wizard would follow this trend, with 129 SD/129 MR on wizard and 1098 mag off buffer.

One thing I tried with my magDK that should be about the same on magplar: bright throat (double bloody mara), spinners front bar, willpower back bar, 1 pirate skeleton, 1 domihaus, full tristat, 1 protective 2 arcane, lover mundus, on a Nord.

In nCP this was (with armor buff) 24k physical resistance, 29k spell resistance, 24k health, 31k mag, and 12.5k stam. Also 15k spell pen with ele drain.

I haven’t fully tested it but it has worked pretty well so far. Still need to level psijic for RAT so I can drop vampire.
