For a few weeks ZOS dangled a 4 sec snare/immobilize immunity in front of us with the change to Race Against Time.
They nerfed it down to 2 sec but honestly it doesn't seem like magplar will be in a bad place next patch.
not exactly true, with regards to magplar not being in a bad place. GCD and the post GCD are messed up in a way where if you dont light attack weave with jabs/jesus beam, the skills fire off faster. BUT if you do, the GCD changes actually results in no change.
Additionally, cast time/channels have no change as well. So Dark flare actually has no change in being cast, and therefore took a 37% nerf. Force pulse outperforms it now.
Though toppling charge is a great change, and the speed of gap closers is a welcome change to melee specs. stamplar is missing that defensive power with magplar being subject to weird skill rules/exceptions that other skills/exceptions were adjusted in this audit and in previous changes.
overall c rating for templar in general.

Just a pia getting Curse Eater in impen.
All impen or 5 impen x2 divines (maybe)
Tri stat Food
Steed with 3 swift
Not sure if I want lightning staff for more damage or frost for roots + higher poison uptime (leaning towards frost tbh oh and block)
Entropy, Unstable Core, Frost Clench/Toppling Charge, Honor the Dead, and Sweeps
RAT, Ally Ward, Harness Magicka, Extended, Rune, Panacea
Magicka return poisons front bar, magicka return enchantment on resto
I like using soell crit mag pots
5 light, 1 med, 1 heavy

You plan on killing ppl with just sweeps and core? And no damage set? This for groups bgs?

I do indeed!
Finally home from work.
In no CP BGs I don't find it all that necessary to run much damage buffing sets. Well you do if your goal is to 100-0 someone, but that's not a style I enjoy
Sustained damage and pressure has been my bread and butter. (Btw I'm running x2 spell damage glyphs, might go with x2 Regen but I'm just sustaining enough as is so I haven't found much urgency in changing it)
Curse Eater removes defile so that Honor is always massive - that damage I'm healing usually triggers skele. If focus is high I just then switch bars and hit both Shields, hit extended swap cancel it into honor, so full health some shield left over and skele; so I can press the attack.
I then just hit them with unstable and currently reflective, - snaring them and allow me to drop into puncturing sweeps. Once they get low I use empowering sweep.
Only pia is getting my kills stolen. I put significant work into killing someone.
Fyi. I'm also a khajiit, with Rat, that's a 1.8 crit modifier in BGs

I'm assuming you play on the EU servers and things are very different over there. I'm a bg only player and you won't kill anything with that kind of set up on PC NA, unless you're playing a new character aka low mmr.

Xbox NA; more than likely highest MMR because it's the same people and they're all on the leaderboards.
It's BGs, there's 8 targets to choose from; at least 1 will be soft enough to kill
It's BGs, so I'm never alone unless I choose to be
I'm not about to waste 5 min dancing with a DK built with some survivability for example
Edit: I've already been running the build. Only issue is not having 3 pieces in impen. Like I said, I'm pretty set on it. This is after testing many different builds
So, few days before patch drops. What major build changes have you guys tested and decided will be worthwhile?
I'm going to be slotting Crescent Sweep and going for an Auroran charge melee build. Dropped vampire already in anticipation of RAT buff.
Anyone else?
^ I'm currently farming rattlecage (gross, I know) so I can slot solar barrage next patch. Before anyone yells at me, the only 'flex' spot I have on my offensive bar is ele drain and that skill gives me more dmg and sustain than any 5pc bonus in the game so..

Figure out stam sustain, drop tripots entropy and bane, and slot spell power pots. 2 extra slots. U can run alliance pots if u wanna keep bane.
The video i posted a day or so ago shows what i'm talking about. It keeps bane, which i'll probably drop for radiant shield or blazing spear. In that video I think i have about 15k stam and 800 stam recovery.

Hrm, I like this advice and me thinks I shall take it
I'm going to happily share this idea for Stamplar as I don't think I'll be playing much of it next patch. With the change to Toppling Charge and gap closers in general (yes, I know it's a magicka skill but I never have magicka issues on my Stamplar):
Truth, Ravager, Bloodspawn.

Ran my stamden similarly only with 7th in stead if ravager. It's a good load out in CP pvp where you can take damage for fury to build up. Think I'd rather go 7th though as the tiny heal, I think of as mitigation.
I'm also not sure about fury on templar where purging DOTs would actually hurt your fury stacks. Maybe 7th and Ravager.

Truth cuz charge puts em off balance

Not using Fury mate. Truth.

I'm liking curse eater @Waffennacht . Good idea lol.

I'm a huge fan now. If it's this solid now imagine how OP the first idea was.
@EtTuBrutus glad I made the tweaks I did, have more killing power and already see the improvement.
