Yes, Royaji, but we PTS testers found out this problem and told them every day for 4 weeks! They still did not care!

Maybe you should press on that angle and ask for a bug to be fixed instead of creating chaos and claiming that the sky is falling.

They specifically said that ZOS ignored the bug report.

The next step is to raise public awareness, which might force ZOS to act.

Which one of these options is a honest description of a problem and which one is a "the sky is falling" clickbait?

You need to resort to raising public awareness when an "honest description of the problem" doesn't get the job done.

Also, i have 56 points in bastion but my shield is only just over 7k, I have 18k health. Is bastion actually doing anything at all?

im playing with a build editor and I'm pretty much at the cap with no bastion. 17157 health, 6926 harness magicka.

Might be better off dumping those 56 points into spell shield and light armor since shields use resistance now.

I might actually do that tbh...

It would of been nice if they had refunded us that 56 cp when they updated. It's such a pain to re spec all the cp.

I think it's good that people won't be able to use their pet as a crutch to get through VMA and as for things like dolmens and dungeon, you really should be able to complete that without pets. At least now you can use them to get your dps up in end game trials where they weren't wanted before.

I think they tried too many changes too fast in this last patch. Now they will spend even more time trying to fix everything they screwed up. Slow and steady wins the race.

My magden has stopped using the bear in overland content as it's pretty much useless

Well, ultimates don't permanently take 4 ability slots...

Wardens don't have any non-pet builds. Sorc non-pet builds aren't a DPS loss at least. You have to change your playstyle, but at least you're still viable in all content.

They are a DPS loss. Because in order to use a non pet build you have to get more regen, usually going vampire + regen food like Witchmother Potent Brew. But if you do that, then your health is 15k and your shield loses is not viable any more, so this patch you have to enchant for health and this leads to a DPS drop.

For some of us pets are more of a wheelchair than a crutch. I've got 50% use of my hands, sometimes almost none. Sorc pets gave me a fighting chance. No more. ESO is now just another game I used to play.

In case you didn't notice, I have created a differently titled thread on the PTS forum.
In case you didn't notice me and other people have created all sorts of other feedback about this in the PTS forum.

    Result: zero.

Now the update is released to the general public, so I post on the general forum too.

Actually, I use pets in trials since 2014 with no problem.

I wish there was an option to undo what they have done to pets in this patch, I don't care if pets are not immortal in trials, I care they are useful everywhere.

So I've played now for about an hour and a half in that Time I've done a delve and a world boss and numerous over world encounters and my pet hasn't died once so not sure where this over reaction to pets has come from ?

If there is really such an issue where you feel you cant play and you need to come on the forums and make over the topic dramatic titles which would be better served as the next Oscar winning movie title I suggest we get some evidence to back up said claims.

Its called OBS and a YouTube video of your bet being slaughtered by that NPC that happens to be wielding Mjolnir beating down on your pet.

atm you just living up to the sorc QQ hype train and tarnishing us all with the same brush.

Obviously ZOS is punishing players for complaining about the one second cast time on shield that they originally added so they changed it to a much worse solution of limiting shields to 50% of caster's max health resulting in pets shields being reduced by 70% and pets dying every 10 seconds.
I tested the one second cast time on shields on the PTS soloing one of the Murkmire WBs with my pet build and I barely notice the one second cast time and my pet only died once.
Apparently ZOS wants to take the fun out of pet builds and force players to quote: "make interesting choices" (whatever the hell that means).

    Hi everyone,

There is a bug introduced with Update 20 on PC/Mac that is currently affecting player pet survivability. Player pets should have a greater damage reduction (85% less damage taken) from area-of-effect and damage-over-time abilities in non-group zones. Right now, that is not the case - this is not intended and it will be fixed in an upcoming incremental patch. Player pets will continue to be immune to all damage in Group Dungeons, Trials, and Group Arenas, as they are now.

    Thank you!

Ditto... I"m an older player and my eye hand coordination isn't what it used to be now that I"m pushing 60. I play solo, log in a few hours in the evening and take my sorc and my pet and do some exploring and questing.

I see now that this is an unintended bug but I do take exception to the 'crutch' comment. You don't know who is behind the keyboard of a player. No need to get condescending with people and assume we're all the same.

It is a wrong direction you are going with pets IMO. Having them behave differently in group content vs non group content is wrong.

Pets were quite ok before this patch. The only think that was wrong with them is they triggered some unwanted boss effects ......so why not creating a new bind key to silence the pets when you need it. When silenced the pet will not do any damage nor take the damage from NPCs, basically they become invisible to NPC.....that would be a much nicer solution, used mostly by the elite players in very rare encounters, and pets would work 99% same as before.

Now all players have to deal with this nightmare, the pro ones and novice ones...doesn't sound like a GG.
