Also, i have 56 points in bastion but my shield is only just over 7k, I have 18k health. Is bastion actually doing anything at all?

Respect your class, and your class will respect you. The petsorc still works. It's arguably better now for PvE, because of the changes to pet mechanics.
I am kind of lost in the game now because my one and only character was a pet sorc. I learned the game as a pet sorc, focused all my attention as a pet sorc, learned how to do rotations as a pet sorc. I basically put all my eggs into the pet sorc basket.
And now ZOS has just snatched that egg basket from my hands and stamped on it. I am not sure how to pick up the pieces. I am thinking maybe just start again on a new class. I'm not the sort of person who has tons of alts. I like to focus on one thing and become the best at it. So for me this patch is a disaster.
Bad idea, remember one siege we had once there the enemy pets was essential to recharge our ulitmates between each time they tried to rush us, it was quite funny Did not thought about it before one told us to only LA the petsLioraValkyrie wrote: »I don't see why pets can't be unkillable in PvP also, so long as they are also untargetable. The damage they do without activating their special ability is negligible, and more than a reasonable sacrifice for having to double slot them. Using your pet as a literal meat shield seems dishonourable to me somehow... Why not just take the leap and make them ethereal all the time? /shrug.

They just need to make them immune in Overland + Public + VMA - /shrug.
Obviously PvP they can't be though
I don't PvP so I have no idea about pets in there. But as of now at public dungeons, world bosses etc they are worse than early 2014 pets, that would die very easily... but not that easily!
Yes, pet sorc DD and healer.ThumbtackJake wrote: »I am kind of lost in the game now because my one and only character was a pet sorc. I'm in the same boat. I have a few alts, but my pet-sorc is my main and go-to character. Sherman started posting some solo builds yesterday so I'm looking into those to see if I can find something I like. Pet builds are my favorite though, so no matter what it won't be the same.

Considering there was no mention of removing pet's resistances in patch notes this whole thing sounds like a bug. As some people pointed out, they were tinkering with the way crit resistance is calculated for pets so it is very likely that something got broken as a side effect.

My magden has stopped using the bear in overland content as it's pretty much useless

Well, ultimates don't permanently take 4 ability slots...

Yes, Royaji, but we PTS testers found out this problem and told them every day for 4 weeks! They still did not care!
