Because of high ping and my timezone I can rarely do trials and I don't often do hard vet dungeons because I'd rather do those with friends - coordinating doesn't happen often. PVP is also restricted due to ping. Weekends during my daytime I can do VMA, but if the shield cap goes live I won't be going into VMA either. Which pretty much just leaves dailies, writs and new quests...

Same and my ping gets so high i'd never be able to do VMA.. Also as a magwarden main no one would even add me anyway.

I'm not a fan of Black Marsh/Argonians and the new arena doesn't have a solo option so I can't say I'm looking forward to the new DLC. As for the combat changes, there's nothing new here, some changes are good and some changes are bad but I'll adapt to them like I always do.

The most underwhelming dlc to date imo. Add on top the nerfs and...well........yeah. Besides Nerfmire, I've also taken to calling it Mehmire.

I'll be excited for the patch that doesn't nerf builds. Content gets harder but builds get squisher. Zos only caters for the 1%ers now. How many people do you see running around with new skins?

Not sure why I should be excited.

    - My sorc is getting hit hard with the nerf hammer.
    - Overload is dropping its third bar.
    - Still have to double slot pets and Bound Aegis.
    - Furniture still has no ability collision.
    - I have yet to see a tribal-like loincloth-esque style for Fashion Scrolls.
    - No Lilmothiit.
    - Not sure if the "Road Most Traveled" will be one of the music boxes.

I mean I guess we are getting a new zone....yay? I guess? Sure whatever let's go with "yay". It's more like, "Let's get this over with."

Voted yes purely because I'm looking forward to seeing what Cyro will be like with the new outposts, bridges that can be broken, etc.

There's a couple of mounts I'd like to get too, the glowgill gaur one and one of the indriks. Probably won't be able to get both but would like to get at least one of them.

Nope..in fact very dismayed by all the "nerfing and fixing" they have done in the last couple years. Playing this game was started as a way to relax and have fun in my downtime and was so much fun. Now it is just way to stressful and has propagated elite squads for doing trials that demand you have x amount of dps or you don't get to run with them. PUG groups are nightmare so I understand why that is. With this latest nerf to sorcs it will most likely drive me away. They nerfed dps so badly over the last 2 years but at least you could effective sheild yourself to stay alive in PvP. Now they are hindering even that. I've seen posts by people who say "oh that can be gotten around by doing this or that"..I don't want harder, I want to relax and enjoy. Guess if I can't hang I will have to go play Mindcraft or some other baby game :p

Hey, as a constantly PUGing player, I disagree. Majority of PUGs are very good. I love PUGs. Maybe you guys should try to play a bit more differently than you all used to.
I believe all these whining about nerfs is just because of conservatism and laziness. People don't want to be challenged, people don't want to learn something new. People just want to play the same game all over again and any changes, any challenges, any differences in the gameplay they used to, make them cry.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

New content, new quests, new landscape, new daylies. A Stamina version of Shalk Exoskeleton called Champion of the Hist. I dont do much dungeons and trials and my playstile isnt hurt much. I consider mitigation in front of shields to be a good thing, just as Stamina restoring glyphs doing physical damage.

Shame that what would would otherwise be a cool DLC is marred by an abysmal patch.
They did that exact same thing with Morrowind ... released an incredible DLC, but it ended up getting a lot of bad press because they also released a patch at the same time that had gigantic nerfs for everything. It made people bad-mouth Morrowind, when the DLC itself was great. I would have thought they would have learned from that, but apparently not.

Update is going to be awesome. The cyrodiil changes especially the bridge destructions are extremely welcome. The combat changes to PVP were needed and on a good path.

Way too many negative Nancy players here on the forums who are afraid of change and lack the skills to adapt.

Curious to see the new changes to scattershot especially with that new bow.

    Overall can hardly wait!

    Stam player confirmed.

Unless you want to use your skill at adapting to propose a viable alternative method of survival for light armor classes?

Face-tanking with shield stacking is gone (which isn't necessarily a bad thing in isolation) but avoidance is not possible as stam classes all have access to very strong snares and light armor classes have zero access to snare removal and the final method of survival, healing is also taking significant nerfs this patch. So you can't kite, you cant block enough damage with shields and you can't out-heal damage either.

As things stand, stam vs light armor mag engagements are 100% a dps race as all methods of damage mitigation have gone out the window. That doesn't make for fun PvP, we might as well just do parses on test dummies and hand out AP & battlemasters reward boxes to whoever gets the highest dps values.

A couple of things, Mr. Hyperbole. First, Light Armor is getting passive snare resistance. Put on wyrd tree and you’re golden. Second, maybe put some HP enchants on, Triglyphs or—gasp—a defensive set and everything doesn’t just become a “dps race”. I’ve been playing bursty-sustain builds for years so this change barely affects any of my mag or stam toons (but magwarden nerfs are just lol).

Well Im kinda in between....I like to get a new Zone, with new quests and motives achievments ect.
Also my MagDK gets a slight buff to its dmg which is nice, and some combatchanges like the absorb stamina glyph dealing physical dmg now are nice

Arenaweapons are (once again) completly useless from a PVE Endgame perspective....srsly bring out another singleplayer arena like vMA with weapons as good as they are, then I might be happy.

vMA weapoins were the second ability altering weapons after vDSA, and they are still BIS on every magicka build...and resto and 2h arent as bad as others.

Either come up with some great weapons or great contect in the arena (which the new one has definetly neither of those)

But that the arena is going to be badly designed and the weapons aswell was pretty clear from the beginning since the last ability alterin weapons where already bad AF.

But im more disappointed in how they "balanced" the classes....tbh IMO they did nothing towards that (PVE perspective)
Even they had great feedback from our classreps and here in the forums.

    Sorcsustain still utter garbage.
Magblade DMG goes throuh the roof now even its healing is lowered
Magden still no DMG at all
StamDK sustain isnt great, nor is the DMG (its okeisch but not balanced)
StamDK in PVP still no classidentity
StamDK passivechange for "sustain" hits into a hole with only affecting chep poison skills
StamDK nox breath oosing 6% dmg with no compensastion (just give it 10% posiondmg buffing like fire does and stamDKs are welcome in groups again)
MagDK whip change unnessecary AF, while the other morph is still underwehlming with the spelldmg to ardentflame abilities

WTH is goin on with Warhorn...who the heck is comin up with those ridicoulus stupid changes, only to get warden into trials...i dont get that I really dont.
The class was garbage when it came out and now its a must have just for one groupbuff, srsly get consintency into the game, removing things left and right to make all classes feel similar but then do the opposite and nerf WH.

Overall shieldnerfs are over the top and wont do what they were designed for since endgame players use the shield so little it doesnt hurt them anyways, and average players getting screwed since their "OH *** BUTTON" isnt an oh *** button anymore.

For Stamina PVE redguard is still dominating and way ahead of other races due to racial passives and light / heavy attacks now taking max stam even more into consideration where Redguard already has the most of from all classes.

Furthermore the Echantment change mentioned above is great however it wont help kahjit or woodelf / orc to become an option in PVE since redguard can now run Bistat max Stam max Health food, ending in even better survivability and even more dmg therefore widening th egap between them and other races.
Buff Kahjit, Woodelf and Orc for PVE sake.

Excited for Siphoning Strikes heavy counting for double resource and health restore and giving similar benefit as Warden's Lotus Bloom for heavies. Excited for new Cyrodiil map changes. Excited for Forward Momentum being nerfed to 4 second duration... because 8 second immunity to Frost Staff immobilize and immunity being reapplied for 100% uptime making Frost staves obsolete against ANY 2h user as just an example.

BUT not excited for MASSIVE 30% nightblade execute cost increase, just like they gutted funnel health cost in days past to be almost unusable class skill. Not excited for Assassin will and in general proc cost being included for any of the classes. Not excited for nerf to swift jewelry to 6% (7% is understandable - 40% nerf, just like to "sharpened" is too much and makes it very unwise to use oft times and usually falls off the seen traits used). Not excited for all other forms of Major Expedition being nerfed to 4 second duration. Not excited for super lame funnel health morph dmg reduction by 50%... making DPS mageblades not providing ANY utility to team with Swallow Soul now (taking away our choices and pidgeon-holing it further). Not excited for shield changes, any of the hammer changes, when they only needed to make 1 minor change at a time and see how it plays out for balance, like only changing shields to be receive critical hits with resistances added etc etc. Not large, multiple things at a time. Very unscientific for experiments and too many variables to test what is causing the effect and needs changing (losing the controls). Change one thing at a time to see how it effects a lab experiment with everything else as controls. Overall, we were pretty close on balance, which then quality of life changes can be made to keep player base having fun and enjoying their builds and working to refine their character and skill. But with such upheavals, it drains on the will to play. A lot of time is already invested, and that time isn't being rewarded. It is being changed to adapt more and more instead of helping the quality of the time people invest in it.

For example: 2h weapons being counted as 2 slots = quality of life and theory-crafting improved. Transmutation crystals = quality of life and theory-crafting improved. Jewelry crafting = quality of life and theory-crafting improved. One Tamriel = quality of life and theory-crafting with overland sets improved. Housing with storage chests = quality of life improved. These are just examples which really raised the moral and fun for the player base. These other changes being made are not improving quality of life, and only supporting theory-crafting to try to adapt to the change, which wasn't necessary.

What do you mean by light armor classes? What class is forced to use light armor. Every class (even magicka) can thrive in heavy armor, especially sorc with the upcoming changes. You just gotta adapt.

While I think light armor will suffer until annulment’s cost is decreased, it won’t be near as bad as everyone says. You just gotta adapt.
