One stam and two mag. Stam is my main so my yes does partly swing for her.

Why does everyone think Stam will be so good next patch? The snare immunity and speed nerfs are gonna see skilled stamina players take a huge hit.

It's a tiny hit and nothing in compared to the universal nerfing of mag classes (who by the way still have no access to snare break).

Let's compare a 2s snare immunity and 2% speed nerf to my magblades changes which include:
    • Big nerf to healing from swallow soul
    • Complete removal of either damage or healing from refreshing path
    • Huge nerf to Healing Ward
    • Huge nerf to Dampen Magic
    • Merciless Resolve now much easier to dodge
    • Zero, not even one, compensatory buffs

I reckon you'll probably be alright tbh mate @Vapirko

Oh I didn't say the mag changes were good, people just seem to think stamina is gonna be great. Truth is small scale/solo play on all sides is taking another huge hit. I play stamina DK/sorc/templar and magicka NB/sorc so Im well aware of how bad things are all around. But yes I will be fine because Im probably not coming back lol, been gone for a few months now and based on the changes in Murkemire.

Everything is relative. Stam will be great because mag will be trash. Well, light armor mag, specifically. Heavy-armored Magplars & MagDKs may end up being the winners from this patch.

at the very least its a case for not releasing dlc and updates together.

A poll on the forums is totally not representative of the entire player base.

My wife is never on the forums.... but she is really looking forward to the change.

As are some 10000 others i asked on the streets. In reality the "NO"'s are way outnumbered as happy people are playing people and not forum dwellers. I am here because i cannot play because im in a train.

    Also

Whilst this is true. Who is happy or not right now is pretty much entirely being dictated by what class they play. A couple have become genuinely unplayable with this update.

This is why they should do "balance" and DLC updates separate.. Right now we all should be looking forward to the new zone, but instead we're dreading what our characters are going to play like. ( also know its going to take till the next update before i get a good pvp build sorted again. )

But that's because I don't main magicka sorc.

Obviously those playing class&builds being slaughtered in Nerfmire, aren't to happy about the update. They have my sympathies, since I know the feeling and quit this game more than once after templar nerfs.

What I'm mostly disappointing about with this update is lack of magwarden buffs though. Was planning on playing mine more seriously and they kinda promises warden buffs last update. But magwarden got more nerfs than actual good buffs, so think I'll pass.

I really like all of the changes in Murkmire. There's no nerfs. At least for me personally.
Warden is going to be more comfortable to play. Finally I don't have to waste GKD every 6 seconds to re-apply Minor Berserk (which was making this buff almost useless).
Housing is going to be more comfortable.
Character selection screen is going to be more comfortable.
    It's"Comfortire".
I keep dreading its release day, I guess it'll be October 22 :/

ESO developers nerf and break things so much players end up feeling weaker instead of stronger over time, my cp ~900 sorcerer feels as reliable as level 24 sorcerer with endgame gear on PTS.

Oh, come on! Didn't you see poor Planar Inhibitor boss in vWGT being smashed down by overpowered high CP damage dealers so he/she could not even activate portals for daedra adds?
I mean, there's no game, no tactics, no mechanics when players are getting stronger and stronger.

I do that by adding a third dps. I won't bring a healer because I barely use the shield when I do this if at all. This doesn't solve that, it just makes solo play worse.

True. I play a Magblade. The lesser Sorc. Still, i don't need shields to survive but they sure were handy. It now just requires a different playstyle. Just like other classes have been nerfed fixed it is time to adapt and try a different playstyle.

People may not agree on the changes @Zos introduce. But change was needed. And i don't say this is the right solution, but as @ZOS is probably working Agile I am pretty sure the have an agenda on how to fix. They just need to do it a small portion at a time. Maybe, as always, new builds will arise from this for Sorc and other classes. And as always, there will be more cries to nerf on the forums.

This is not the end. It is the beginning of a new era.

Not all quests devs introduce are plain stupid, so I'm looking forward to try a new story in Murkmire. I like Argonians, and I hope the loremaster will improve their lore by this expansion. Other than that, all those balance fixes, free giveaways, moronic events and such... well... I don't give a flying duck. After completing new story I will put the game on the shelf again.

Update is going to be awesome. The cyrodiil changes especially the bridge destructions are extremely welcome. The combat changes to PVP were needed and on a good path.

Because of high ping and my timezone I can rarely do trials and I don't often do hard vet dungeons because I'd rather do those with friends - coordinating doesn't happen often. PVP is also restricted due to ping. Weekends during my daytime I can do VMA, but if the shield cap goes live I won't be going into VMA either. Which pretty much just leaves dailies, writs and new quests...

Considering I have mainly played a Mag Sorc for the last couple years, and finally got the gear I wanted and my stat sheet to be pretty up to par, now it seems I either need to start over again which I really dont feel like doing or go back to my Mag Blade which I'm really not that great at. I mainly play PVP and yes I use Harness, Healing Ward and Hardened Ward. So I'm pretty much doomed. I am really kind of lost on what to do at this point.

Nope..in fact very dismayed by all the "nerfing and fixing" they have done in the last couple years. Playing this game was started as a way to relax and have fun in my downtime and was so much fun. Now it is just way to stressful and has propagated elite squads for doing trials that demand you have x amount of dps or you don't get to run with them. PUG groups are nightmare so I understand why that is. With this latest nerf to sorcs it will most likely drive me away. They nerfed dps so badly over the last 2 years but at least you could effective sheild yourself to stay alive in PvP. Now they are hindering even that. I've seen posts by people who say "oh that can be gotten around by doing this or that"..I don't want harder, I want to relax and enjoy. Guess if I can't hang I will have to go play Mindcraft or some other baby game :p

    Stam player confirmed.

Unless you want to use your skill at adapting to propose a viable alternative method of survival for light armor classes?

Face-tanking with shield stacking is gone (which isn't necessarily a bad thing in isolation) but avoidance is not possible as stam classes all have access to very strong snares and light armor classes have zero access to snare removal and the final method of survival, healing is also taking significant nerfs this patch. So you can't kite, you cant block enough damage with shields and you can't out-heal damage either.

As things stand, stam vs light armor mag engagements are 100% a dps race as all methods of damage mitigation have gone out the window. That doesn't make for fun PvP, we might as well just do parses on test dummies and hand out AP & battlemasters reward boxes to whoever gets the highest dps values.

I'm dreading it. Not only because I think I will now struggle and be locked out of content I was doing before as an aspiring mid level player. I am also fearful for what they will break this time when it drops and what new bugs they will introduce that won't get fixed. :/
