Is it me, or does it look like a feral Argonian?

I don't like that Argonians are riding reptiles. That's too much of a copy of Khajiit and their Senche, and it feels oddly stereotypical. As if the only thing that comes to mind when you hear lizard people are more lizards.
I mean, humans aren't riding giant apes, are they?

Root worms would have been more interesting and lore friendly, imo.

Actually, I am guessing it will be part of the Murkmire Collector's Bundle. The Collector's Bundles almost always include a themed mount.

...They have Kagouti and Guar. Which are definitely reptilian in appearance. Even if we got wamasus. Still reptilian.

Humans not, but elves yes.


Root worms not a mount, they are more like swamp trains, since you travel inside of them.

At least Kagouti and Guar don't look so much like Argonians themselves. I don't know, something is uncanny about that thing, like a horse with a human face.

Something more amphibian instead of reptilian would have been awesome, too. Like an Axolotl mount. Although I assume that would make it even weirder that mounts can't swim in ESO.

Love it, love everything about it.
However this mount comes, be it Collector's Edition/ESO+ exclusive mount/etc. I WILL have this mount and if that means going to the dark side and buying gambling crates to do it, I WILL GO BANKRUPT!!!!

Well Khajiit riding other "cats" is kinda lore friendly in a way. I dont know to much about Argonian lore but I'm sure there are specific species that might be more feral than others like in Khajiit lore.

I do know what you mean however.... And I do find it funny that my Khajiit has a kitten as a pet and rides a tiger.

The lore doesn't say anything about Argonian mounts afaik, outside of "Root Worms" that work more like subways. You get inside these 8-foot-long worms and then tunnel along the roots of trees to where you want to go. Not easily done as a conventional mount, so anything new they want to do is fair game.

In static larger picture this mount looks interesting... But it's so sad that they keep ruining the look of mount' muzzles with bridles I wish we could have senches (and their reskins) with only a saddle, like the wolves have

I'm not excited about the new mount. Maybe if it turns out to be a miniature Swamp Leviathan or something I could work up some enthusiasm but as it is it just looks like a lizard.

Looks rather dragon-ish. I love it. I need it yesterday.
*Edit* I've discovered it doesn't have a tail, and is probably based on the bear skeleton, which would mean bear movements. No thanks. Don't need it after all. The head still looks good, though.

Not all reptiles are the same species.

We don't ride apes but we do ride horses which are mammals. We eat pigs and cows.

It is no different with reptiles

I think it's pretty clearly a reptile skin of a cat.
Which means there is likelihood of reptile skins for all mounts.
