I mean, humans aren't riding giant apes, are they?
Root worms would have been more interesting and lore friendly, imo.

✭I think it's pretty clearly a reptile skin of a cat.
Which means there is likelihood of reptile skins for all mounts.
It's not a cat. From what I could see (but I wasn't paying attention) the idle animations are those of the bear mounts. It even has the tiny stub tail. I don't think we saw the mount move but I'm ready for disappointment.1 -

✭✭Now, after we saw senche and bear sharing really similar look, I think this will be theme of next crate season (after Sleepy Hollow crates)... I really liked the bear muzzle, and the roar "Hist sap" effect looked very cool
It would be so nice if these mounts were available (especially for direct store purchase) right when the DLC comes, I want to look at them all in game before I choose

Sadly, I think you're right. I'm pretty sure these will be the apex mounts of the crate season after the headless horsemen ones.
I think the thing Gina was referring to in the video is Murkmire as a whole as included with ESO+, not the mount, it's just mistimed and seems like she is referring to the mount.
I'll be happy to be proved wrong but we shall see when the datamine comes out!1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Idk. This mount's head looks good, but its body and this small flappy tail are just weird. It would have looked better if they used wolf or senche skeleton as a base instead of bear's. Also, I've learned it doesn't have a tail, which is super disappointing. It would be so incredible with a proper dragon tail.
I guess I won't be getting it, even though it looks great from the front. The head is wonderful.1 -

They most likely have a reptile version of all the mounts

It does, just more like a bear stub, as opposed to a gator tail.
Expect that for the Wolf model

...They have Kagouti and Guar. Which are definitely reptilian in appearance. Even if we got wamasus. Still reptilian.
