The Invisible Postern Wall Glitch

    Today when my group tried to defend Sej a whole EP guild abused this bug and just entered through the bugged postern wall - would be kinda nice if ZOS could finally acknowledge this issue...

    I think that all of this broke when they changed the drawing calls for better performance. Some players have reported that this is attached to the drawing distance, and if you leave the boundary set for it and re-enter it, the Wall is drawn correctly again.

    I sure hope they finally can fix this.

    Still no acknowledgment or comment from the Devs... yet I reported several AD players for constantly abusing the postern door exploit on Shor earlier. I hope those players get a 3-day suspension. 3v9'd them for several hours, and yet they still need to crutch on abusing the exploit even though we were outnumbered 3 to 1, objective after objective.

    • Fix Volendrung (spawn location - weapon white on the map causing the wielder to keep it forever - usable with emperorship)
    • Remove / Change CPs System, remove current CP/noCP campaigns and introduce one 30days with lock, one with no locks
    • Fix crashes when approaching a keep under attack because of bad / wrong rendering prioritization system
    • Change emperorship to value faction score points and not alliance points - see this and this
    • Fix long loading screens (mostly caused by players joining group out of rendering range)
    • Add 2 more quickslots to the wheel or add a different wheel for sieges weaponry only
    • Fix Balista Bolts not dealing damage on walls or doors if deployed at a certain place
    • Release bigger battlegrounds with 8 to 16 players per team and only two teams
    • Fix the permanent block animation - see examples : link1 link2 link3 link4 link5
    • Gives players 10 minutes to get back into Cyrodiil after relogging / crashing
    • Add a function to ignore the Claiming system of useless rewards
    • Improve the Mailing System / Rewards of the Worthy stacking
    • Assign specific group sizes to specific campaigns (24-16-8)
    • Make forward camps impossible to place near objectives
    • Make snares only available from ground effects abilities
    • Change emperorship to last minimum 24hours
    • Fix body sliding after cc breaking too quickly

    I created a forum account just to post here so maybe like, 1,001 players reporting this will garner attention. Please listen to us @ZOS_GinaBruno. There was no fix in the latest patch. You guys must be getting multiple reports of players abusing this bug, and the only interaction we've had with anyone from ZOS on this post so far was a mod deleting posts for naming and shaming. We just want to know when this will be fixed.

    You guys on PC? Because I’ve also seen it happen on Xb1 I haven’t seen people take advantage of it however. I saw it while we were taking nickel, saw some walk through it but they all exited and sieged it properly

    I for one created a ticket on June 1st, with video evidence of the exploit on PC EU Sotha Sil.
    I replied by mail after receiving the automatic response.
    I also reported the players.

    I have yet to hear from Customer Service (saying at least they're looking into it or something!).

    [EDIT:] I have seen the exploit on several other occasions.

    This is still happening, and people are losing these places because some people are not ignoring it. They see a hole, even with a door and just rush through. Whole raid just did it in Kyne. This is a major issue if anyone can walk up to an outpost and jump inside it when no one has taken that wall down. In case it helps, I only recall seeing it on the right side wall as you face into the outpost from the front door. I could be wrong, but that is the only side I recall seeing it on. Someone correct me if its been seen on the left side facing into the keep.

    Happens on both sides of Outposts for sure.
    Was happening just last night on Vivec EU where a tonne of reds entered an 'intact' wall at Bleakers to flip a flag.

    I'd be willing to let the postern wall glitch stay in the game if I could weapon swap, have my skills go off when I actually press the buttons and it didn't take 15 minutes to get out of combat.

    Sad to say, but I have full confidence in ZOS fixing this, however with hilarious unintended results.

    • The stonemasons of Cyrodiil have, in solidarity with their doormaker brethren, also gone on strike.
    • Players are no longer able to remain inside an Outpost or Keep.
    • Floors will be re-added in a future Patch.

    Since I haven't seen any dev say this is a bug, it must mean its intended. Dunno what the fuss is about.

    EDIT: I'm sure I saw ol' Richie going through one of those intentional gaps while playing on his DC (because he totally plays on every faction) character last week.

    PC/NA Vivec, this morning.

    EP was sieging Sejanus Outpost and as I ride up I see that the South postern wall is at 60%, but I can clearly see around the door through to the flags.

    I lay down a ballista and help siege the postern wall down, because bypassing the need to siege down walls/doors to enter a keep is an exploit. (Nightblades ambushing into keeps or dragonknight leaping up walls are a similar exploit) Reference here:

    Unfortunately, about 5-10 of my fellow EP chose to exploit by rushing into the the Outpost. The wall was still above 15% when they started turning the flags, despite me yelling in chat not to exploit. (I checked that the front door was closed, but I also watched them walk in the poster before it was fully sieged down.)

    One of them yelled back that it wasn't an exploit. As I pointed out above under the spoiler, yeah, ZOS requires us to siege down the walls. Bypassing the need to siege is an exploit.

    I wanted to capture Sejanus, but not by cheating. ZOS, please fix this persistent bug ASAP.

    In the meantime, have some honor and don't exploit.
