Sneak speed is a passive so I clicked that one. It makes me mad though. Sneak speed is earned theough sneaking in Elder Scrolls games. There is no requirement to disform your face. To top it off, Khajiit fur changes for no reason. Stupid beyond stuid. I dont know why the lore guys aren't all over this.

This. Almost everyone in this game is a vampire. It's absurd how crazy strong the passives are. Whether the sneak speed for thieving or the resource regen for endgame PvE, being a vampire is pretty much mandatory. Not sure why they attached such OP passives to an RP choice. There should be other ways to gain improved sneak speed and resource regen.

I completely agree with this and frankly as I stated above I find it to be very poorly considered that there isn't some kind of choice that has to be made between Vampire and something else. Vampire needs to come with a cost or it really is not meaningful.

Didn't vote, because "other" was combined with "non of the above," which doesn't fit my situation.

Answer: Roleplay. I have a whole stable of RP alts (two stables, actually), and currently three of them are vampires. Don't know if more of the characters will be turned in the future, or if any of those will be killed off. Some of them, if they're "killed" in RP will probably end up deleted. Others would continue to get used as non-RP alts, simply because of the time I've put into playing them and building their gear and such.

Edit: I wish there were more questslines involving Vampires, where you can join a vampire clan (of course only if your a vampire) and do vampire dailies in the end of the questline. There should be dark caves we can dwell and we have cattle, man this would be great fun.

For some characters I wanted the skills, and for others the passives. I didn't like the look on some toons though, so I cured them, but fortunately for my main, I actually like her as a vampire, and my justification for turning is that it makes her stronger/gives her more tools to fight evil things (plus, she only feeds from mobs or uses Bloody Mara )

I hunted vampires in Skyrim and never was going to play as one in this game. But their looks can sometimes be cooler than ordinary characters, it's the only reason I have 2 vampires who never were cured Both are just for the looks.

Magblade became vampire to change his horrible normal face and it saved him from deletion. Of course speed in stealth also greatly helped him to do heists and sacraments, so on top of the look it's very nice that vampirism gives him something useful
Magsorc is my "necromancer", I wanted her to look scary so I created her only with vampirism look in mind - without vampire effects she actually looks scarier, also without that look she simply doesn't exist as character The shadow of race change is still looming over her, I even like how she would look as high elf vampire necromancer cause of eyes:

I just wanted the achievements - same as WW. Once that was done, I cured myself. (Only have one little vamp alt, who I mainly use to help others get bites, and that's enough for me.)

I would, however, be inclined to keep vampirism in the future if they changed the visuals. I really dislike the ESO vampire look, and I am too much of an RPer to ignore the appearance change of my poor char

Stage 2 has NO SCROTEFACE!


You only need stage 2 for resource 10% regen.

between the lackluster skills which only do a damnable thing for magic users, the passives which are...not that useful [for me anyway] and comming down with a rather bad case of the ugly...there's just..nothing in vampire that's really..apealing, add in the increased damage from fire and dawnbreaker&co

Because at the time, you were able to stack the vampire speed buff with the Nights Silence set, and you could pretty much sneak at sprint speed.

10% extra mag regen, along with 33% damage mitigation if you are under 50% health is just too good not to have on a DK tank.

I don't care about looks, there are so many skins to choose from that overwrite it.

Never felt the need to go vampire in PvE, let alone in PvP; there I only play light and medium, and the flame from the sieges and various sets and player abilities hit really hard, since lately I've only played no-CP. Also the recovery is not that much, since it's not really 10% of your current recovery, but lower, since that includes other % bonuses from armor, racial & class passives and in PvE also CP. It's more like 6-7% or 100 recovery if you're already at 1.5K. In PvE I have no sustain issues when playing tank or healer even without vampirism so I don't see any point in picking it. As DD things are little more complicated, since DD rotations seem to be very sensitive to system performace, so I was pretty much forced to run heavy attack builds which don't have any sustain issues; they hold reasonably well when FPS drops into the single digits for the whole duration of a fight. Also the lack of FPS make it pretty hard to get out of AoEs that sometimes don't even render before they start doing damage. Couple that with inattentive or plain bad healers I got in most dungeon PuGs (if there is any) or so called "progression" trial groups and I got used to actually over-sustain resources and play pro-actively, throwing in Vigor or Harness Magicka/Hardened Ward every rotation during harder mechanics just in case. It's just my play-style and vampirism doesn't fit into it at this moment. I may reconsider it in the future though, if the terms of the equation swing; lately group support has been improving so that part looks encouraging at least. I don't care much about RP since it's one of those things like housing & fishing I always put at the back of my priority list.
