Light attack weave is extremely easy. Cast you skill then immediatly start clicking to light attack and then as soon as you see the light attack start cast another skill as fast as you can press it's key.

Bar swap has the same effect on a skill as a skill has on light attack: the bar swap cuts the animation short and allows to cast another skill on the other bar. For example for bow press key for the arrow rain skill and then immediately bar swap, the arrows wont even hit the ground before you can cast the next skill.

This is a confused post. Firstly, gcd is ~1 second, you make it sound like you can beat it or counter it, you can't - - while technically you pop your light attack in the cool down of the preceding skill, it is easier, and more fluid to stagger it: light attack > skill; swapping works then: light attack > skill > swap > light attack > skill. This gives you a wider window than trying to cram the whole thing into the cool down, which is clunky, unrhythmical due to cast anims, and harder to pull off. Staggering is far easier to master and much more natural.

Because light attacks and skills are on separate cool downs, you should view the time line visually: [ ¦ = light attack boundary, | for skill, {} optional] :

¦ LA | SKILL {Swap/Bash/Block} ¦ LA | (etc)

Maybe someone with more time can diagrammatically visualise this. As this is where most people struggle.

I did some parsing while trying not to LA weave and was hitting 32ishk in the PTS on my Magden. It's sloppy and I know that the interface is a mess -I haven't spent the necessary time getting my addons sorted- but I was surprised at the DPS numbers that I was getting here. I know you hate pets and there's one here, but I've been able to get decent numbers without weaving on other classes as well... this is just the one that I have recorded.

It's definitely a catch-22 though- I can pull these numbers because of BiS gear (Siroria/Zaan, though I also use Mother's Sorrow above) but I have BiS gear because I can pull the numbers... I am happy to help you get the gear to get started!

You, and most of the people in this thread, are overthinking LA weaving. Forget about timing it and coordination. If you just spam the LA button between abilities then you will weave properly 99% of the time. If you get 2 LAs off in a row then you're using abilities too slowly. If you get 2 abilities off in a row then your LA spam is too slow.

If its a left right coordination thing maybe you can map the attack to your keyboard?

Im using xbox controller which allows you to do it with one hand.

Never have been a fan of the mmo mouse. I have one but somehow i hate having buttons below my thumb. If you are looking for mmo pc gear i would recommend a keypad like logitech g13. Your thumb for movement and the rest of you finger free to click skills.

Animation cancelling is one of the worst things to happen to ESO. But hey, I guess we can all be boss and work on our rotations and have to buy our 3rd or 4th controller just to get through DLC dungeons.
