Look, I do not want to look like a vampire... at all. But, the stealth benefits fit my NB all too well, so it’s crappy to pass them up.

I would love the option to “hide” my Vampire appearance.

You're going to get attacked by all the pvpers who don't want more vampires running around. To the anti hide vamparism crowd they don't care that lore allows vampires to blend amongst mortals and lore aside, gameplay already allows you to hide vamparism with disguises and ugly flashlight skins but they want to keep cosmetics as a deterrent from cyrodil being filled with vampires.

We can already hide our heavy armor by looking like we have light armor, or wear a wedding dress on a tank. I can make my axes look like daggers and still inflict bleeds on my opponents but yet hide vamparism is a huge no to them.

So lore and gameplay reasons are a nope because "mah cyrodil"

"Cure you vamparism, you need to take the downsides with vamparism" let me tell you lore and gameplay already allows you to bypass appearance restrictions and I don't care about your false immersion nor your cyrodil being over run with vampires. In fact for some classes it's necessary for mist form for mobility in pvp and should those classes be punished with looking like a bad cosplay skooma addict? Cosmetics should not be a punishment

5k crowns im willing to pay for a hide vamparism skin at this point @ZOS_GinaBruno or a hot like serena vamparism skin. It's esp disappointing on characters like redguards whom skin color I want to wear gets bleached out and is indistinguishable from the other man races

Vampirism comes with pros and cons. The light complexion and flaky skin may be one of them.

If you could hide vampirism then everyone would be a vampire. The only people who aren't vampires are people who "like" werewolves or "dislike" looking like a jug of milk with armor wrapped around it.

The intensely horrific character appearance is there for that very reason.

"Light and heavy armor comes with their own skilline and pros and cons and you have to look like that. Axes and daggers look like that so you can see if your opponent is running crit or bleeds..." except I can hide my gear which makes a bigger difference with a different tier item so why can't I hide my vamparism?

    [Snip].

I can get the benefits of light armor while looking like heavy armor. I can get axe bleeds while looking like daggers. Don't you dare quote lore when lore clearly states vampires can blend in with mortals. In fact in game Lamae Bal clearly states this.

I Died with the jug of milk appearance description. That's an accurate way to describe it.

Actually in ES lore, Clavicus Vile is the one responsible for enabling vampires to blend in with mortals "as long as they are well fed". The OP wants to have stage 4 benefits without feeding.

It isnt exclusive to cyrodolic strains anymore. It has since then been worked into other strains not associated with clavicus as well as various vampires blend in skyrim just fine. Eso vampiric strain Lamae Bal tells us we can hide amongst rags and crowns undetected and a hide vamparism would reflect that. A unlock at rank 10 vamparism would be fitting as that's the rank players master vamparism

Passives, also don't bother hiding your gear nor weapons with different tier weights or weapons as with your logic it should look the part to get the benifits

I want a normal skin on my Breton, too, he's as hairy as a Nord. Why everybody gotta be so fuzzy all the time? He looks terrible in his dancing silks and he can't even shave. I totally think there should be "normal" skins in the crown store, too, as long as they are completely hairless from the neck down.

Most men have body hair. lol But yea, I can see some wanting to be clean shaven. I went through that phase in my adolescent years.

Cure or deal with it. Simple as that. Not because it is a balance issue or isn't lore friendly but because it isn't enough of an issue for them to bother with. It isn't going to happen and more threads change that not one bit

I agree with the concept in the early stages. Stage 1 should be indistinguishable from a non-vampire. Stage 2 some minor changes, stage 3 more obvious, and stage 4... well, see TES III Daggerfall’s vampire for that one.

Then if they cause stages 2, 3 and 4 have a progressively larger detection radius with NPCs and a bounty added for being seen, and we’re in good shape.

I am all for players being able to hide vampirism......as long as the players have ability to detect vampirism and upon detection said vampire becomes full PVP and full loot, no matter where the vamp is located.

    Vampires should be powerful
    They should also be rare
And being a vampire should be very very dangerous.
