Yet again, PC gets extra weeks of headstart, while Console gets the shaft. Love how pretty much every other game manages to give the same stuff to both PC and Console on the same schedule... unless you consider games like Neverwinter... but, really, do they honestly want to be compared equally with those guys?? The excuse last year was the vetting process on Xbox causes the delay... ok, well, they had a year to plan for that obstacle, and yet, here we are again! They still do not care a bit, and on top of it, they have the twitch crates for PC only... so many benefits for playing on PC, would be nice to be able to play there, but, I can't because of my hands - need a controller for playing. So... when will they discover that Console deserves as much reward as PC does?

On console you can create countless accounts from a single purchase. Please give it a break. And you can use a controller on PC.

On console you can create countless accounts from a single purchase. Please give it a break. And you can use a controller on PC.

So, your reasoning is that people can abuse the system, and even then, only those who are willing to pump SERIOUS time and money into the game? Most people have 1 or 2 characters they like to play, and a few that I know have close to full accounts, or full accounts (but that is a slim amount of people). To make multiple accounts off of a single purchase would require multiple Live accounts, and who has the time for that crap? The ones that do are WAY too far into the game, and make up maybe 0.01% of players, so don't throw that BS at me.

And, I guess I need to say this hundreds of times: I played on PC at first, and did my best to stay with it. I asked several times for controller support, they said outright that there would be NO attempts to add controller support. When my hands got bad enough, I quit playing, and waited for console release. It has been THREE years of me putting all of my efforts into the console version: I have probably over 500 invested into ESO on console (if not more, some of that is on my daughter's account so that we can play together), and all of the friends I had on PC are gone (quit years ago), and now I have a lot of friends and a good guild and everything else on console.

All of that because of THEM, not me... they planned on having controller support at some point, because they have it now, but they told me they were not going to do that, so I made my home elsewhere, and now that I have serious roots dug in? I'd be throwing away 3 years of building up, and all of my purchases on console. So, please, stop saying that I can just flip on over! Because I can't, there is no 'swap all my crap BACK' button. My PC account is as of 3 years ago. If they had said they were going to add PC Controller support back then, I probably would have worked on making my PC better instead of buying an Xbox (ESO is the game that finally pushed me to get one, since my friends had all been bugging me to get one, and I was holding out, and playing only on PC)

So, no, I won't give it a rest... and, thanks for making it a personal issue by only pointing out my issues, and issues that only apply to such a tiny portion of the playerbase as to be worthless to point out. The second part points out that you have no REAL point to make, so you have to reach for complete BS, and the first one just makes it that much more obvious, because you cannot come up with a decent point to hold against ALL console ESO players, so you have to make your post directed at MY issues.

We all purchased the SAME expansion, they COULD have worked around the vetting process in several ways but chose not to. Console players deserve equal value for the money they spent... and, yet again, it could be something ridiculously stupid, does not matter, because it is more of a token to show that they see and understand that inequality.

All of you whining about not getting early access with the physical edition need to realize that the CD Key is INSIDE THE BOX! They don't know which box you're getting so they can't send you the CD Key for early access. It's as simple as that!

I got an email earlier tonight with a code for the pre=order bonus so it is absolutely possible.

As UrQuan stated, they did it with Morrowind. They also did it for any beta player. We didnt even have the game yet, but they sent a code for us to activate on the website so we could play the beta. This is not a new thing.

Yeah but can the people that ordered the physical edition get into Summerset on Monday before the mail gets delivered?

+1 to this question. Hoping it’ll be like Morrowind where we send proof of preorder to get access, ‘cause if mine arrives unusually late in the evening like my Morrowind one did, I will be very sad if I can’t play it during the day (especially after taking off work).

We're working on a solution for this, in the event you don't receive the Physical CE in time for launch.

Hey Gina, is there any word on this?

From what I can hear, several of the CE's have even yet to be sent out.

Sames, still no shipping confirmation from Amazon (even with Prime) and its supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Though I am close enough to a distribution hub that I could get same day delivery, I'm just not confident.

I've given up hope completely, I'm 100%. I just really hope that Zenimax can pull some magic here. What they did with the launch of Morrowind was brilliant, where we simply sent in our receipt to get access from launch.

That was a good system, I don't see why they wouldn't do the same this time around.

Well l apparently people cheated that previous system and ZOS isn't to blame for that.

    One thing ZOS can do:

    1. Provide a temporary code to people who provide proof of purchasing CE
    2. Temporary code only lasts a few days (maybe a week)
    3. If no permanent code is redeemed within 1-2 weeks, ban the account until a permanent code is redeemed (force the player to purchase the upgrade)

Just because you have a lot of time and money invested on console doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the game on PC if you wanted to.

No, your purchases, items and experiences wouldn’t transfer, BUT they also wouldn’t magically disappear from your console account if you decided to revisit the game on PC.

You wouldn’t even have to purchase anything on PC if you didn’t want to at first. You could just casually take a break from console every now and again and mess around in vanilla PVE or PVP on PC. Maybe tackle some of the DLC during the many free ESO Plus events. Maybe your PC account would one day get to a point where it could hold a small candle to your console account. Maybe then the idea of dedicating yourself to a new platform wouldn’t sound so extreme and daunting.

I’m just saying, it doesn’t have to be so black and white.

Think you misunderstand here... I have work, sleep, etc... a life. I can play only a certain number of hours, and I spend them on console, as that is where everything is, and where my daily maintenance needs to be done (checking sales, making more stuff, getting my daily dungeons, etc done... etc etc). There is not a point where I can 'take a break from console'. And, I cannot just transfer over, either. So, yeah, it IS black and white, and oddly enough, a great deal of why I cannot take a break from console, is the amount of time it takes to find the best deals on the guild vendor system in this game, so that I can actually MAKE money to pay guild dues as I spend most of my playtime on my crafter keeping my guild stores stocked, and making a bit of a profit (but only because I spend an hour or two to find the best prices... if I did not, I wouldn't make a profit, I would be taking losses, or making a much smaller profit).

And, no, because of how things work in this game, I would be vacationing in PC land without all of the motifs and styles I have accumulated (master crafter), back to using my crafter as he was 3 years ago (so, only knew the races and the first rares, plus did not have enchanting at 50, or anywhere near the traits known), I barely had any mounts, so all of the daily bumps to those? Gone... it stops being a fun side-adventure/vacation, and starts being a real chore, AND depressing TOO.

I've tried here and there over the last couple of years... it NEVER feels fun, because I don't have everything I have worked hard to get, and those days are only when I have extra time that I could check it out and see. But, that was when I only had less characters, there was not so much maintenance to be done each day, etc. Now, I'm in my senior year of college (double major), job, girl friend, etc... just no time to do all of that anymore. I'm on console, that's where I am.

You can play with a controller in pc. With an Xbox controller or playstation.

This might be a good thing for you console players. I have a funny feeling the update is not ready for release. Reading the PTS feedback seems to confirm that. Remember Clockwork City.

Would not be too enthusiastic about Summerset release today. Scanning the PTS reports it seems many issues have not been resolved. Remember Clockwork City was a nightmare full of performance issues and bugs that had been reported on the PTS but ZOS decided to ignore going live anyways.

Except the problem of different programming... console does not see the same bugs you guys do, and you don't see the same ones we do. We have had stuff broken for over a year before that PC never had to deal with in the first place. So, no, it isn't a good thing for consoles. All it means is that we get to wait 2 weeks to see what awesome bugs WE get to deal with. We would be dealing with them tomorrow, or 2 weeks from now... either way does not change that we will have those same bugs. PC does not beta test for us. The only stuff that we both see are stuff like typos in quests, which... who cares? lol... but, we could very well see something like a trial being inaccessible, and you could see a boss in a dungeon not working properly... and neither of us see the other's problem occurring for them.

Wow... ordered my physical edition from Amazon on March 30th. Checked on Friday and it showed delivery scheduled for today. Received an email this morning saying the shipment will be delayed.

I am not getting mine through Amazon, but rather through the Bethesda store. It shipped but won't be here until next week(??!!!), so I was wondering if there was a solution for people in my predicament.

    Thanks!

For anyone who ordered through Amazon and haven't had their order ship yet, we might be screwed for a bit. Seems ZOS screwed over Amazon with supply, even after all the preorders.
This is from Amazon Customer Support. I have no clue if the "July" date is supposed to be June, but it's pretty unacceptable on ZOS part either way.

@Fireman2760b14_ESO That's kind of what I was thinking. The last person I talked to through Amazon sent it all to the shipping manager, since there were screen caps of someone's order placed LONG after mine has been shipped, yet mine hasn't. I hope ZOS DOES ship out more, since Amazon promised multiple people the CE. Needless to say, I'm still not a happy camper. I just submitted my info to try to get into Summerset, but we'll see if I get it.
