My main is also my crafter, got everything on him motifs, traits etc.

I didn't spend *** of time collecting Skyshards to be able to put points into all necessary trial skills and passives, plus all crafting skills, to just sit on that character and not playing.

    Other. It's complicated.
My main is my crafter, quester and character on whom I generally do most of achievements. Only she has luxury of learning all motifs, all recipes, having hirelings, having many points in different crafting passives, knowing all traits. She has all Skyshards collected, points in all 4 weapon lines (she is stamina character), points in alliance lines, in werewolf, in guilds, all class abilities and still has some points left for jewelry crafting and Psijic lines :) Only thing she didn't do yet is complete IC main story for that 1 skill point :/ I completed in on alt back when we had more campaigns and only person I ever saw during questing there was another quester from enemy alliance and we didn't fight of course. Now I don't have much wish to go there until we have more campaigns again :/

But all my alts have all crafting lines leveled to 50, most of them have all points in to always get ruby mats, all of them always have points in alchemy to increase duration of potions. They are only allowed to learn basic racial motifs (except for Imperial style), 4 special motifs (Daedric, Primal, Barbaric, Ancient Elf), all green recipes and some blue recipes. They all are certified to do writs :) And each of them has some achievements which my main character doesn't have, so each character is important.

Yes. One character does all my crafting and little or nothing else.
I certainly do and it's the smartest thing I could have done.

Sadly, I know for a fact that I can never complete all the content in ESO, so I'll never have enough skill points to do both crafting and combat on one character.

As I also find it impossible to play without crafted sets, I've temporarily abandoned all my combat characters and just focused on my crafter. She's level 50 now with 180 champion points and she doesn't have ANY combat skills at all. I leveled her up just by running dolmens.

For anybody who isn't a good player (and can't get all the skill points) having a dedicated crafter is absolutely essential in my book.

My main is my crafter, she’s also the character who chases achievements and is doing all of the quests. She gets first crack on all motifs, recipes and patterns.

All of my characters craft. It’s handy. It’s easy to do and the number of skill points in the game negates any conflicts associated with spending skill points on crafting.
PC/NA - Perpetually casual. Furniture and fish collector. Lover of exploration and opener of urns.
Maxed CPs, still no clue how to endgame, too much time opening urns, prolly.
    Eve Morrison - Templar DPS - Furniture Crafter/Maker of Arms - Co-op w/hubby/achievements/crafting
Jilly Narraway - MagDK DPS - Delves/Dungeons/Dolmans - She murders ALL THE THINGS!
Fynn the Lucky - Warden Tank -- Seer of things/Explorer of places - RP/Solo/Storyline/Completionist
    Siluna Southpaw - StamDK DPS slippery-fingered type/Murder hobo - RP/Solo/Storyline

that's the one that would get my vote

Yes. One character does all my crafting and little or nothing else.
One main crafter was my best fit. I have one who knows all motifs except for parts of Militant Ordinator and many furniture patterns.

However I have 6 others who know 7-8 traits & basic motifs but I only use them for dailies. Then for the rest they know enough to craft for the anniversary event and some have all there skills worked up just needing skill points.

    They all can adventure.

My main character is my adventurer and crafter.

Wasn’t that way at first. I did at the beginning make an alt character with different crafting paths. Later, when I had attuned such a huge surplus of skilll points I ended up training my main for all crafting.

Wran the sorcerer kicks butt and does it all.

And nothing complicated. It was the closest choice on the poll.

3 low level mules who are all 'jack of all trades' and only craft during events such as the anniversary. they were made before the eso+ bonuses were a thing.

one mid level who is 'jack of all trades' and only crafts during events.

7 max level. all 'jack of all trades'

2 are just used for crafting during events or i feel like doing a lot of craft writs, which is not often.

5 remaining are all capable of adventuring and crafting. often do writs on all 5 to farm master writs.

1 of the 5 is my main crafter. all research done, all motifs bar 3 mo known, all bar 1 recipe known etc.... this one does the master writs. probably the most effective combat toon too.

My main is a crafter but my main crafter is not my main. My main crafter is a master crafter but does not do the master writs. My master writs are mainly sold by my main. Other than my main and main crafter, I have other 6 crafters mainly doing writs.

I have two alts who have woodworking max (excluding Nirnhoned) and I'm working on a third who'll do it all. Since I've only been back to the game a short time, she's got lots of research ahead of her.

If my math is correct, she'll be done in 7 months.

    Excluding Nirnhoned.

When i started out on NA with a Catplar I did all the content including Undaunted/Trials/Cadwells Gold/Master Angler/Tamriel Hero/etc.He's my Master Crafter - 9 traits/most Motifs learnt - but not the ideal race for vet content - still he's CP900+.
Because I was worried about the lack of skill points I leveled two alts for Provisioning/Alchemy and Enchanting to the maximum level. In retrospect this was not necessary. They still do writs, but the Master Writs they get are completed on my main crafter. I did start trait research on another alt, but my heart was not in it. Do not see the point of doing it, and certainly not higher level Motif learning - just too expensive.
With 15 alts on NA, most are level 50 in all crafts - a couple of newer ones are nearly there, but each has only one skill point invested in the 5 Hirelings mails. I do like free mats.

Started out on EU about a year ago, with a better plan - only one Main Crafter, just for crafting. She's maximum in all crafts and 9 traits/most Motifs learnt. We go out together occasionally but normally stays at base as she has few points invested in class skills. I did complete the Mages Guild Quest line a couple of weeks ago just to get the Lore Library. It really helps with knowing what Motifs you have, and need to learn.
14 alts on EU. All basic crafters with skill points only in Hirelings Mails.

On both NA and EU my Main Crafter is also my Trader. Have MM and TTC add-ons installed on these 2 only. They do slow down loading times. All Green/Blue/Purple loot items are deconstructed on the Main Crafters with Inspirational and glypths used to level alts. Master Writs are completed on the Main Crafters.

The Anniversary Event is the best time for anyone with multiple crafters of any level. I was completing 6 writs on each daily!

Klixen has the best plan - "having a dedicated crafter is absolutely essential"

Two main crafters; pre-craft bag I split smith/clothing/wood and provisioning/alchemy/enchanting. One got all the new motifs first, the other got all the new recipes first. Now the two are mostly balanced out, both have 9 traits researched.

However all of my characters can craft, and have the skills maxed. BUT I set the skill levels to find the lower level mats I need to craft for my guilds. My two mains are never going to see anything but rubedite/rubedo/ancestor silk again.

Unfinished poll, so I just used the Other option:

One crafter, who has WAY more than enough skill points to also be a full-fledged Stamina DPS for endgame content. No other toon crafts.

My main has All The Crafting, eats all motifs, does all the crafting. But everyone has at least lv1 crafting (writs, baby!), and I'm slowly developing a couple others for the chance at master writs.

Of course, my "main" also has a lousy build compared to my two later 50's, and so is slowly becoming less "main" for questing.
