Please limit the anniversary event. It is damaging the economy

ESO has one of the best economies of any MMO I have played. The event recks havoc on the economy, extending it will be very damaging long after it is over. Please do not saturate the markets. Doing so will make it such that everything will be easy mode to aquire and result in removing some motivation to play the game. Just my opinion but I do believe we are are already seeing many items in the market collapse.

All items in any one motif class are generally not given the same RNG weight.

They can flood the market, sure, with much loot, but all they have to do is make all the weapons in each motif drop at 0.01% of the other items in the motif to keep the class rare and expensive.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

I hear what you are saying, but I really don't agree.

But I do believe that the entire economy needs to shift towards a crafting-centered one: needed special materials dropped in hard areas combined with crafters that invest massive amounts of time in their fields- foragers and makers. Also a return to the "best gear in game is craftable" mentality.

The items in the market would have dropped in price naturally anyway. And as it is, the drop rate on motifs regardless of the style is still quite low, low enough to still maintain a scarcity.

thats only partially true, since Motifs which are hard to get (Abahs Watch, Ancient Orc, Trinimac ect.) where goin up in value, since the demand is bigger than the supply. Which is kinda obvious, when you can only do for example Arna in Goldcoast once per day)

I'm still very new to this game and before this awesome event started I really only new glass style (won in guild raffle) and a few pieces of hollow jack, skin changer and celestial. This event really helps us new players get some nice new styles so we can update our outfits in the outfit stations and craft new cool armours and weapons. I think and this is just my opinion but people who post these kind of threads have a lot of gold from buying and selling flipping and crafting to sell and have played the game for more than a year. I think it would be nice if they could remember what its like to be new to a game and how daunting and expensive it can be to get your account to a good place. Try to think of us newbies and not just your pockets.
I get what you are saying but consider this, why is it that one would think a new players achievments should be enttled to less effory than the long term loyal customer's achievements?

Should not so much play time be rewarded in some capacity?

Oh noes the traders will be poor.
Oh wait, I get a memorable anniversary celebration to remember
Oh noes I really should be trading on the market
Oh wait, I am already in various saving schemes for my real future and that of my real children.

There is nothing of value to buy with Gold in ESO. So what "economy" are you refering to?

Everything i want or need i can easily afford and i'm not even doing any trading. So i serioulsy don't get your point.

Getting overloaded with anniversary rewards is great in the short term, and I definitely encourage people to earn lots of lucrative jubilee reward boxes and to buy any cheap motifs/plans/recipes/mats from the guild traders as the event progresses. Longer term, however, the depressed prices do severely skew incentive structures for a wide variety of game content like dungeons and dailies that have motif rewards. For example, after the event, players won't be grouping as much for Bloodroot Forge. If players are responsive to incentives, which they largely are, they'll find other things to do while the anniversary-induced supply glut works itself out.

Fair enough that you like a stable market, and I'm not too crazy about motifs dropping out of no where myself, I like to feel like my character is actually earning them, but it's a bit weird asking that other people don't get presents so you can earn more money.

Odd, what I am asking for is that everyone else put the same amount of effort to earn what I earned in game. You sound like you do not believe in effort verses reward.

Not much point in a game if we remove any real effort or achievements. Kind of goes against all the game theory I have l have learned
