Is Eso the best mmorpg out?

Depends on who you ask. GW2 is pretty outdated, WoW has been garbage since wotlk expac and it never recovered. Korean MMOs are just pure garbage, don't even get me started of this. FF is...well, I'm not into all that pedo stuff. So, I guess ESO is the only good MMO in the market right now.

It's the only MMO I have ever played, so it is the best I have ever played.
The only reason I got into ESO is because Elder Scrolls six has not come out yet.

    For emphasis:
WoW: Terribly outdated graphics and slow tab target combat, boring quest structure, endless gear grind
GW2: Outdated graphics, designed around tab target combat, boring quests (just fetch/kill quests and dynamic events)
BDO: Zero PvE content (100% PvP game with endless level grind)
    FFXIV: Basically an updated WoW
    SWTOR: Dead game
TERA: Good combat and nothing else
    Random Korean/Chinese MMOs: P2W

I am a Final Fantasy junkie and have loved both XI and XIV(still have accounts on both) but they are both really grind heavy. XI is just a grind overall from top to bottom and XIV is a grind in between raid and story patches. The one thing I really like about the Final Fantasy titles is that you can play every class with one character and not have to switch and regrind everything on every class you would like to play. That being said ESO is much more immersive and has more depth as a whole, be it PVE(way more dungeons and raids) to PVP(just the best PVP idea out there) I think ESO is a better title, my heart is just with Final Fantasy and ESO is like 1B for me.

ESO is a close runner up but FFXIV is my favorite. I enjoy different aspects of each and the games are very dissimilar, which is why I play both, but if it was absolutely necessary to choose only one that's the one I'd keep. A lot of my friends are pc gamers and my husband is a console gamer....I seem to be in the minority in that I'll go either way but ESO doesn't allow all of us to play together on our chosen platforms. It has nothing to do with gameplay but for me it's the deciding factor.

The world environments come out equal, in my opinion. They're both beautifully designed and unique.

ESO comes out ahead for quests and there's hardly a comparison here because it's so far ahead. It's a big plus but perhaps not in the long term, I've only been playing six months so I'll deal with that if/when it happens.

From what I've seen so far FFXIV has more to offer in the form of games within the game and a more diverse range of activities to choose from, which I like a lot.

Although it's apparently what the developer's wanted, I think the FFXIV player housing system is horrible and ESO came up with a far superior plan. ESO made a similar (in my opinion) choice with their trade system and made something which should be a user friendly staple into an annoyance.

Despite my complaint about not being able to play with friends on different platforms I enjoy being able to complete so much in ESO, solo. Not hitting a wall where I'm forced to find a group or just quit progressing is a nice change of pace.

That's a breakdown of the major points I like and dislike about the two MMO's I play.
