Should they add flying mounts in the next expansion?

Two reasons

1: they have said many times that as the game was meant to be experienced as a series of levels that flying simply is never going to happen, mostly because as a general rule, if you can’t see it from the ground chances are it’s not there, if you ever had the bug where you fall through the world and happen to look up you will see massive gaps in the terrain. To save time the just don’t include what you ain’t gonna see and there is absolutely no way they are going to do all that work. Plus it would mean changing the game engine to allow for vertical movements and having worked in the gaming industry I can tell you that is a massive no go.... you never... ever change a game engine... unless there is no option.

2: every game it’s been in, like underwater stuff, it’s looked utterly GARBAGE!!!!!!

Stop distressing yourselves about something that will not happen, if you want flying horsies your gonna need a diffrent game...

WOW changed their engine and included flying mounts.

Now that we have established it can be done. The next question is does it make them more money. If the answer to that question is yes, then you are going to see flying mounts at some point.

Yes, but not the way you are thinking. Flying mounts with wings and all, but don't make them fly way above ground. For balancing issues, I would say just make them hover closely to the ground. This way you get a flying mount, but are still on par with mounts that are on the ground. I'm sure many can envision what I described.

Anyone "Knowladgable" needs to know that this has been hashed a 1,000 times.
1. Game would have to be re-designed from ground up! (Pun intended).
2. ZoS has said not only "No" but has shown on a ESO-Live episode 17 WHY it can't happen.
3. Yes, LORE!.. Enough said.
Just because other MMO's do it DOES NOT mean ESO has to do it.
Flying Mounts, Buying CP, 2 factor-authentication, OP just really wants ESO to be WoW.

They have already stated in the past that when they made the maps they never intended for anyone to be able to fly so it let them take a lot of shortcuts in specific areas and they will never do flying mounts simply because they would have to go back and redo a ton of stuff for every... single.... area.

It would be cool if we could at the least get a mount that flys low to the ground though.

No one really wants or needs flying mounts, it's just banter.

It would ruin immersion, combat, lag and look more ridiculous than the Nix mount or clockwork monstrosity

No... I'd prefer actual open exploration over flying. I'd like to be able to swim between zones separated by narrow rivers, walk/ride through a zone "border" without a loading screen popping up and to actually feel like I'm on a single continent, not isolated in separate regions.

My big complaint when doing beta, all the zones are instanced, it doesn't feel like I'm exploring Tamriel, or in a MMO. I just felt like (and still do) I'm playing an Elder Scrolls game requiring an internet connection.
