I still think the justice system should still be here, this is what pvpers wanted. They could of easily let you chose the instance of a zone u wanted to go to where u can kill players on site. On top of incentives such as you lose all your inventory and it becomes bind on pickup.

Abandoning tier 2 of the justice system was a huge embarrassment for ZOS, and they haven't been able to introduce an original and enticing system since.

Morrowind was not a DLC. I know because I had to purchase it separately my ESO didn't cover it because it is a "chapter"

Did you have to download it is it more content

Battlegrounds, that thing a huge number of PvP players have asked for since forever, have been out for nearly a year now, and they keep coming out with new maps and playstyles for it. But it's not a "DLC" so I guess it doesn't count, somehow?

What zos released and tauted as a BG is not exactly what people were asking for. People were expecting more of a WoW open field with objectives feel. Not held hostage to a 3 way Templar unkillable tank slug fest with a flavor of Star Wars old republic dumb huttball feel.

Chapters are just DLCs on steroids.

So, the problem is that PvPers are upset over getting something BETTER than a simple DLC? To the guy that just got a Shelby GT350R, saying it has been a LONG time since he got a "car"... excuse me while I fail to cry over this.
    LonePirate wrote: »
The Imperial City and sewers are mostly PVE areas with opportunities for PVP, much like the last three DLCs which were mostly PVE areas with PVP opportunities if you played the new battlegrounds that accompanied those DLCs.

IC is far from 'mostly PVE with opportunities for PVP'... I tried so hard to play IC, bashing my head into it, over and over, but no matter what I tried: solo, with a group, with an entire raiding party that bordered on raids from EVERQUEST! And, nope... no matter what, if you (or the people you are with) are not awesome at PVP, you WILL get ganked, you WILL lose all of your stones, it WILL p*** you off, and it will happen, over and over and over.

Almost everyone I know from the PVE side of things tried to do IC for a month, HARDCORE. Then, it was as if everyone heard the call on the wind, and evacuated that d*** place, and left it to rot. Why? Because it pushed PVE players into a PVP zone to try and get stuff they needed, only to allow them to be assaulted and taken advantage of by PVPers. So, don't come around talking about how IC was all about PVE, because it wasn't, it was all about PVP, and how to bait PVE players in for the PVP players to ambush them. It was NOT a fun time. The only thing anyone I personally know managed to get from it, was a great waste of time, and a few trinkets.

PvP gets a new patch weekly... You go against a different foe every time you log-on...
Where is ZOS and the ENVIRONMENT they provide in the PvP equation??
Are they one "P" or the other "P??"
Unless you mean you want ZOS to change the ENVIRONMENT....
If so, that happens with every patch...

PvE depends on content being repeated and new content to keep people playing. PvP doesn't depend as much on new content. In fact new content means spreading the player base out. Think how trials work now. If there were only one trial it would be easier to find a pug to do that trial. As there are many trials it is sometimes hard to get a group together for a specific trial. Same would be true for PvP. The more content you have the harder time you will have finding someone to fight. That is just the nature of the beast.

We don't need new PvP content. We could do with an occasional shake-up within the content we have.

I would pay to have cyrodil completely rebuilt.

Take away all structures, come up with new rules, new systems, and a new structure system. Preferably somthing more like planetside two. Break cyrodil up into multiple zones, lock a zone when the objective is taken, force all players to move to a new zone. Still open to all players, more than one zone open at a time. They could take us into unexplored parts of cyrodil as well with an intuitive objective unlike the "vanilla zones" of cyrodil.

Remember, in this game crydil as explored as a pvp zone is nothing more than a triangle. What I'm proposing would allow zeni to open the explorable territory without un balancing the ultimate objective.

The objectives could be, "as a faction, capture daggerfall covenants scrolls." Or " as a faction capture the most keeps." "Capture all bridges". Just some examples. There are also many parts of the map that are landmarks but don't serve any purpose whatsoever ever to cyrodil, they can turn every land mark into an objective!

If a faction wins the main objective they can stay in for a certain amount of time. S omtimes there will be a zone open with zero objectives. Just free for all take what you want hours.

The objectives are expected to last for hours. Can't get into one zone? That's fine there are two other zones open, for you or three if they open more of cyrodil. Or imperial city. Options are endless. They could make it faster to travel from one keep to the next on one map and spread the keeps out on a another.

Either way, something needs to be done. I believe everything I'm asking for or suggesting could be done in one dlc cycle. We need a complete overhaul. Not a new mode. Cyrodil needs to be revamped BAD

Just gonna put it out there - do not get your hopes up for a PvP-centric DLC such as Imperial City to ever release in the future. They already screwed their PvP and now most people avoid it and populations are abysmal compared to the past. Considering ZOS seeks $$$ and nothing else, it makes no sense to cater to the much smaller population. Hopefully that changes in the future but it has been years..... again, don’t get your hopes up.

The fact that Battlegrounds actually exists is surprising in itself.

PvP isn't based around content like PvE is. People are still playing the same Counter-Strike maps with the same guns since 2000. PvP is dynamic because you're playing against other people.

They could add some BG maps, but there isn't much else they can do.

Aren't BGs, the thing he is referring to, being baked into the core game with Summerset? It seems like you are overlooking things to make a point, since they introduced BGs last year, and are now giving them to everyone.

I see this complaint come up every so often, but that's all it is, a complaint. Do you have any idea of what to do outside of adding more BGs, or making another cyrodil?

I’d prefer Cyrodiil revamp and improvements over an entirely new PvP zone simply because populations would be so thin. Making Cyrodiil new and interesting would be better. I don’t think anyone would be truly sorry to see the current Cyrodiil get a makeover, nostalgic maybe.

In my opinion the population in Cyrodiil would be ALOT least if players were not there to grind skills.

Remove that portion of the population from PvP and one gets a better perspective of the state of PvP.

I'm pretty sure a large portion of that people that do go there would prefer not to have too, well at least that's the common opinion in the 5x guilds I frequently chat with.

i played silly pvp nonsense just to get those certain skills we all know and love, and then i am out of there forever.
i avoid pvp in all video games like the plague!
pvp has its place in ESO as long as it stays on the backburner and all of pvp treated as an afterthought.

this is an MMO and there “should be” a pvp activity but this is ELDER SCROLLS... and being an MMO or not, it is a pve focused game. always has and always will be.
it is about making a character how you want it and playing how you want.
it is about exploring and story telling.
the MMO part just lets you team up with other people, and it really is the best game out there!

if people want to have great pvp and more content and updates released for it, then they bought the wrong game.
    its that simple.

    No, you are completely wrong.

Firstly, this game was marketed heavily on AvAvA, 3 way massive PvP. It's still marketed.
Secondly, ESO is not MMO - it's online multiplayer RPG.

    Right from Steam page:
    PLAY THE WAY YOU LIKE
Battle, craft, steal, siege, or explore, and combine different types of armor, weapons, and abilities to create your own style of play. The choice is yours to make in a persistent, ever-growing Elder Scrolls world.
    ...
    A MULTIPLAYER RPG
Complete quests with friends, join fellow adventurers to explore dangerous, monster-filled dungeons, or take part in epic PvP battles with hundreds of other players.
You just spread fake news (my bold).

    P. S.
Playing the same group dungeons again and again (which are completely scripted with a bit of RNG) is not silly at all, I guess? :D

You know exactly what he meant. Quit diverting. Just because 'Chapters' aren't labeled as 'DLC' doesn't mean it's content suddenly doesn't count. There are BG's, dueling, Imperial City, and Cyrodiil. All four of those things come with their own modes, objectives and playstyles. There is literally nothing more to be had for PVP other than tweaks and improvements. The only way to get a new PVP experience from ESO at this point is to find another game entirely. It's already all here.
