if it is 1500 then it should apply to all characters. otherwise, hell no bye.

    iirc it is account wide

It's not. It only applies to the character you're on when you bought it.

It's stupid. Completely stupid. At that functionality, it's worth 500 crowns, tops.

Now if it applies to all characters instead, I'd gladly pay 2000 crowns for it.

wow okay that seems insane...1500 account wide i think is expensive but the usual zos expensive....but 1500 per character is absolutly nuts...

but eso for some stupid reason has always been insanely ALT unfriendly

People are never happy lmao. ZOS could have given you none for free. Now you get 1 for free on any character and still complain

Fair enough, Alcast. But it doesn't appear to be working that way for my family.

Assume you have a one account with four characters. Like everyone else in the game, you've focused one of those four characters to be your crafting character. This character has leveled up in crafting, knows all the motifs, etc. This is the character you would use to make your outfits, correct?

When you take this character to the new outfit station, it appears that they can ONLY create one costume without buying more. So where's the other three costumes for each character?

Maybe we're doing something wrong, but it appears that each character has to create their own costume - which means spending a lot of gold buying motifs after spending years farming for them and giving them to your crafting character. To be clear: the crafting character can only create one "free" costume for themselves. That's what it looks like to us.

Tell me I'm wrong because I want to be wrong here. If I'm right, then your words are hollow because every efficient person in the game has focused on one crafting character. And yes, we've already been in the game this morning. I have it open right now.

Again: I want to be wrong. Tell me I'm wrong and there's a way for crafting characters to create outfits for other characters. I'll admit, I'm hesitant to create my only costume just to test this.

Edit: If there's a way to do this - for a fully level crafting character that knows ever motif in the game to create costumes for all four characters, then I will agree with you and say one free outfit for each character is good enough. But until then, meh.

Good news: you're wrong! Completely and utterly wrong!

Outfit styles are account-wide; just log in on your crafter and it'll add all their learned motifs to your list of available outfit styles which you then can use on other characters.

    Yay!

I was wrong. A guild member came to show us what we were doing wrong. It now appears that any motif known by any character on your account is available if to any other character. So all your crafting motifs should be available. Thing is: we had to first send our crafting character to the outfit station. Once that character had accessed the station, then all the motifs were available - even to the new character we created last night.

In this case, I have to admit @Alcast is right. One free costume per character seems pretty fair.

oh wow, was really looking forward to this and would propably have happily bought some extra slots if for 300- 500 crowns per char..
Way too greedy, now for me it just leaves a sour taste to the whole system = even though we get the 1account wide slot free.

By not spelling "Greeeed" over every new feature Zos would propably make more money from happier customers. :(

Ok that's way higher then I am willing to pay for just one outfit slot for one character. Then again that goes for most of the crown store items for me, though this seems a bit more so then usual. Guess I have to accept to have to get by with just one slot then. Does take some fun out of the system but atleast I have one slot to play around with. Though honestly with the gold cost the willingness to mess about with it is also limited. I have a casual not great-gold-gathering play style (farming for gold... yuch, no fun) and have 100 other things to do with my limited gold. Not paying 500 crowns either for a token if i don't want to spend 3 times that much for a outfit slot obviously).

I do love having the system and it is a plus to the game, but I am not as hyped as I could be for it as I could have been due to the prices (gold/crowns)

I wouldn't complain if the slots were accountwide, but they aren't (or at least they weren't on PTS).

A price between 500 and 750 crowns would have been reasonable for a "per character" slot, 1500 crowns is just plain greedy.

750 would still be really expensive touhg if you have 10 characters lets say thats already 7500 crowns...seems really prices for something like that - why would you discourage people from having alts...i don't understand zos logic...more alts = more time in game = more crown store purchases

I thought that it was 1500 per slot and that means a slot for each character. But after you've bought it they are independent of eachother so for example it can be different on each character.

Just what I thought it was, may be wrong so if I am pls tell me.

1500 would be okayish if it was account wide. 1000 would be more appropriate.

1500 per char is just killing it and any motivation to use the system

That just destroys the entire fun for me. Way to waste an update with some bad decisions.

Ah well, why did I even expect them to be somewhat reasonable - the same greediness which put me off for 1.5 years again. So this feature seems to be not for me at all. There is nothing in this patch for me, just a bunch of nerfs for my abilities.

Its crazy right ? The People ask for a MUST HAVE feature and expect it to be free ? NOPE they give us what we want BUT here's the catch

    You need to pay

The kicker is, they didn't even give us what we asked for. We wanted to change the style on individual pieces of gear. They gave us build-a-costume.

as many people asked for the ability to make custom outfits and not a wow style transmog. Not everyone is going to get what they wanted

Once again I feel myself completely unsurprised. Charging $15 of real life money for a single outfit slot for a single character. You guys managed to outdo EA on screwing over players once again. SWTOR's system had full account unlocks, with 15 extra slots that priced out at about 4500 CC, which you could cover with their $40 bundle.

I haven't gotten to tool around with the costume change tokens yet to see pricing, though I've heard they're 400 crowns each. Which is also hilariously awful. I know you guys are super greedy and love that money but seriously? This is actually insane.

Well 1500 per character for additional outfit slots is absurd and this is a whole new low for ZOS. That price it should be account-wide not per character for something like this. ESO+ has been cancelled and my wallet has been closed to ZOS now, going to stay on as free player for the time being but seriously ZOS, you guys are insane and the prices you charge for some s**t is ludicrous and I can buy full brand new games for less than some of the homes on the crown shop or for what it would cost to get all outfit slots on 1 character? If it was account-wide fine maybe I could swallow that pill but 1500 per slot per character is ridiculous! Shouldn't be more than 500 crowns per character outfit slot.

Sadly, too many people willing to blindly open their wallets and/or credit card debt for overpriced digital crap. I like to buy stuff on the crown shop from time to time and I sub to ESO+ as I like to support this games development and future but when stuff keeps getting pushed to new levels of greed then enough is enough! I'll continue to enjoy the game as a free player but no more money to ZOS unless they change their practices!

I was hoping they would be cheaper than that so I could pick up a couple extra outfit slots on my main since I like to play dress up with my characters. At that price I may not buy any extras at all. And because I hate spending gold on something I will lose if I change it I probably will just be making one outfit for the time being and leaving it alone. Still happy to have it so I can hide my monster set and non-crafted armor pieces.

Well, as someone who has "invested heavily" (spent a fair amount of coin) on costumes, this price definitely removes me from a buyers list. I will continue using the costumes I have on hand (which for the most part cannot be recreated by current outfit selections), and not buy any outfit slots.

If they had priced them more modestly (IMO), I would have been a customer for both.

I guess tough luck guys. I thought ZOS would finally give a reason to not wear costumes and farm motifs. Nope think again, guess I'll continue to buy costume from the store instead. Most look way better then the in game armor sets anyways.
