What's the Highest Bounty You've Ever Had?

So, to make farming for the 1 million fenced achievement a little less boring, I decided to experiment to see how high I could get my bounty as I did it (don't ask why, I'm weird that's all that you need to know). So far I'm at 850k fenced, and I just passed 2 million bounty.




What's the highest you've ever gotten? I'm curious how far it goes.

Also, apparently this is a best selling book in Tamriel.. Product of a few hours farming:

Got as high as 200k before the passives that made it go faster was intruduced, as well before the items that removed a bunch. But nowhere near as high as you.... Also wondering if that is an efficient way to get that achievement, need it....

A bit over 12K when I did the dark brotherhood quests. Silent sneaky killing... not a good career choice for me.

I used it to pay the last Buyoant Armiger motifs and 2 manors, as well as paying a lot of potions, so around 12-13m I'd say.

These are pretty rough estimates, but you get around 20% of your bounty as stolen loot - at least based on what I farm, and supposing you loot everything (including white stolen items).

He's an alt though, so meh.

I got to 100k specifically to use the gold edict. It was an effort though. I’m impressed with the people in the millions. That’s some real dedication to npc slaughter.

I've never been above 1k bounty. Only time I get caught is when NPC's have eyes in the backs of their heads. With swiftly forgotten maxed, my bounty drops away fast. I do normally run around with about 10k in stolen loot though.

Other than that i'm a law abiding citizen! ....99.9% of the time anyway.

I do my best not to be caught - if I'm somehow witnessed I take it as my stupid fail and great offense Highest I had was a bit less than 10k bounty on my very young stamsorc back when he was doing Dark Brotherhood quests and dailies whole day. I was tired and didn't do my best to be sneaky that day



Millions of bounty are impressively huge but for me it would be a nightmare and nothing to be proud of

Just tested it. 100 bounty says 1h 40m online...which is false since I drop around 165 bounty every 3 mins. (maxed swiftly forgotten passive)

I’ve actually been thinking about getting a bounty all the way up to the millions and keeping it stead on my evil vampire. That way, it’s like the guards always attack her on sight and none of the town will speak to her. Just have to get all the riding skills up so I won’t be blocked off from it. I can’t think of any other serious issue it’d present other than inconvenience.

In coldharbour there isn't the justice system, i used the stablemaster there when i had a lot of bounty.
On the other side u need to do some coldharbour main quest to unlock it.

I take it there's somewhere you can steal lots of stuff, that has no guards? Or do you constantly run from the guards?

And are you just not sneaking?


I think I've had a few hundred, when I was going through the Thief Guild or Dark Brotherhood questline.

My main has never gotten over 1000,
My Templar got to 65 000 after getting skooma bubbler recipe (45000g in there for a while ) and then coming out door was trying to wayshrine a guard finding me and somehow between that escaping and Back to house I killed Npc and upset guards and got another 20000 on top just trying to not get caught.

It's party time for all outlaws. It's quite good place and no bounty if you just clean up things laying around. I think hewsbane was the same no?

I went to 100k Bounty purposely in attempt to get that 100k Bounty Paid Achievement BUT the 100k Leniency Edict you get from completing the Thieves guild does not count toward bounty paid, it basically just erases your bounty... So idk what the point of that edict is... Or why anyone would go beyond that just for ****s and Giggles...
